Hi, I'm 23 years old and I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant with my first child. I am really excited about it, but am a little nervous/ scared as i'm unsure what to expect. I have never really been around babies or small children. I would really love to hear off and talk to other expectant mom's, to hear your thoughts and experiences. x x x

youngmum21 · 24/09/2006 21:15

When your baby due benyb?

Michelle24 · 24/09/2006 21:18

Yeah, I think I know what you mean. I'm worried that I won't recognise the signs.
I had really bad morning sickness until I was 20 wks, it's only now that I am beginning to enjoy it. I don't feel sick anymore, i'm not quite as tired and I can feel my baby moving which is amazing!
I dont mind hearing you rant - lol, it's good to know what to expect.
Awww a little girl! Have you thought of any names? Are you all prepared?

Hi Bendyb,
Do you know what you are having? I really envy you for being so close to having your baby. It feels like I have ages and ages left. I don't even start Maternity leave until the 15th December...

despite the pain, i kind of in a wierd way enjoyed both my labours and parenthood at 21 is very good, ive got my family sorted early and now can concerntrate on building a good career for myself.

We kept changin r minds bout finding out the sex, I'm glad we did coz of buying stuff, I wanted 2 b organised! But still think its really nice 2 have a surprise! What do u think it'll b? I had a feelin mine was a boy & I was right, Have u got any feelings what it is? I also looked at 1 of them ancient chinese gender charts, have u seen them? apparently they r 90% accurate,

Michelle24 · 24/09/2006 21:55

God help us if we have a little girl, her daddy would be so protective! haha...
Awww I really cant wait for all that. At the moment I'm just concentrating on getting everything we need and decorating the nursery. I'm excited about doing that bit, I have brought little bits and pieces but have a long way to go. There is SOOOO much to get!!!

Thats what I've said, I'll give breastfeeding a go but if it doesn't work out then i have no problem bottle feeding.
Apparently using a breast pump for the first time is hilarious!

OP posts:
BENDYB · 24/09/2006 22:07

thanks youngmum. lol, I haven't been on there that long either, u dont have 2 feel left out tho, just say whatever u feel like! U will have a friend on there now anyway! lol!
I'm gonna try & breastfeed aswell.

youngmum21 · 24/09/2006 22:10

i havent brought a breast pump yet as when i went to parent craft clsses they sed you shouldnt introduce a bottle for at least 6 weeks even if your expressing so thought i leave it till after!!!

BENDYB · 24/09/2006 22:10

thanks michelle, do u have any names then? We couldn't agree on any girls names so good thing its a boy!
Breastpumps scare me! lol! I'm not lookin forward 2 using it! x
