The new thread for mummy-to-be madness, mushiness and mayhem!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
littlemissy12345 · 12/10/2014 17:52

It's from ovulation being 4 weeks before ish. So they use the same dates as how many weeks pregnant you are (give or take a few days due to implantation).

Cuppachaplz · 12/10/2014 17:56

sunbathing, it means conception 4w ago, ie 6w from LMP. However, HB cannot be heard until about 16 weeks, and can be difficult to find reliably until after 20. However a beating heart may be first visualised on an ultrasound at around 6 weeks, which is what this usually means. Hope thus helps x

Welcome oneday, wishing you a sticky bean and a peaceful pregnancy x

Congratulations LondonJen! Wishing you a speedy recovery and lots of happy times with your DD!
That calls for stats update soon Wink Any other additions?
Congrats on good scan news PSmith, Holly and Suzi!

Sorry I've not been on here for ages... Trying not to obsess too much, but really difficult - is my bump the right size, is it growing - what if it's genetic abnormality that it's not growing well, is it still there... (the doppler we got is not that much help because there's a lot of static and difficult to what could be hb and what not...)
Ah well, 20 week scan on Thursday and getting anxious...

tannyLoo · 12/10/2014 18:46

Silver those are my panicky thoughts exactly! So nice to know I'm not alone Smile

Itscurtainsforyou · 12/10/2014 18:59

Hi all - I'm a bit stressed out. I'm 6+3 and am having some pink/red coloured spotting. Had some yesterday lunchtime, then nothing, then again just now.

This was how my most recent miscarriage started (& same timing too) so having an impending sense of doom... Hmm

I have a scan booked at the EPU tomorrow morning which will hopefully clarify things either way. Just have to get through this evening...

FX curtains!
tanny paranoia no end, hey Wink when is your next scan? hugs! I should have said 'he' rather than 'it' as we know it's a boy, but still can't let myself think if 'it' as a baby, not to get too attached... Sad

hi all, quick question for you all, and sorry in advance for tmi Blush has anyone else and quick thick, egg white, sticky discharge? I'm 26 wks tomorrow and gave had this for the last few days. I don't remember having this with my dd so just wondered if anyone else has had this too? I'm seeing my midwife on tues so will mention it then but should I be more concerned?? I had a slight panic it might be mucous plug but with so that was brown/bloody whereas this is not.

missmakesstuff · 12/10/2014 20:36

Just checking in, after a very long timevlurking as my stoopid phone doesn't always let me post. I've been a lot less panicked since 16 week mw appointment, heard the hb and got 20 week scan in just over 3 weeks, very exciting! Lovely to hear all the news about babies showing up, makes it more real somehow!
Although I'm feeling less anxious, my friend has just told me she's pregnant and now I'm worrying about her! Ridiculous!

Could someone possibly add me to the stats, think that's past my phones capabilities!
Missmakesstuff, 1 mc, edd 23 March 2015

Cakebaker35 · 12/10/2014 20:39

Sorry for terrible typos in my post, bloody autocorrect Blush

silverine · 12/10/2014 21:02

No probs Tori and missmakes, will do. Will give it till tomorrow to see if anyone else wants to be added and to give the thread a chance to move to the next page, try to limit to 1 stat update per page Smile

Phryn · 12/10/2014 21:55

Thinking of you misscurtains and hoping that the spotting stops and the scan shows a sticky bean.

Thanks for the stats Silverline can you add me?

Phryn - Age 32, no DC, mc in Aug 14, EDD 7th June

CorporeSarnie · 12/10/2014 21:57

OMG, so much is going on!
jen, congratulations on the arrival of your little girl, fantastic news.
I can't quite believe that I am #2 on the list... How did that happen? In related news, I am officially more pregnant than I have ever been before, am at term, having reached 37 weeks yesterday (dd was born at 36&5). So from hereon all is new Smile.
Hope that all of you in early days are doing ok, the worry doesn't really subside, just shifts to something else. Fingers crossed for uneventful pregnancies for all.

littlemissy12345 · 12/10/2014 22:05

silverine I dont think I was on the stats so can you add me: littlemissy12345 1DD, 1mmc, 1mc, due date 25/03/2014

littlemissy12345 · 12/10/2014 22:06

Oh dear - just ignore me I am on the list! I think it must be bedtime and I'll catch up on posts tomorrow!

longestlurkerever · 12/10/2014 22:40

Hello everyone. Just checking in after a week or so with no internet. Yeay to another thread baby! Fingers crossed for you curtains. Flying home from Oz today. Land tomorrow morning and go straight to epu for scan. I should be eight weeks. Can't really imagine anything different from the previous times though which was no hb and measuring 5 weeks ish. Still, no bleeding yet and slightly more promising symptoms so can't help getting my hopes up.

Gwlondon · 13/10/2014 00:20

LondonJen congratulations! Enjoy!

GailLondon · 13/10/2014 09:28

Hey Everyone,

Just checking in as I haven't posted for a couple of weeks. But that's because I'm having a lovely uneventful boring pregnancy which I am very pleased about.
25 weeks or so, baby kicking away like crazy now.

Itscurtainsforyou · 13/10/2014 11:36

Hello all - looks like it's not good news for me again. Scan showed a gestational sac but nothing inside. Could be earlier than thought, but unlikely.

This is almost an exact replica of my miscarriage a few months ago.

They've also said that I should be on treatment for my blood clotting disorder (I've been pushing for an answer on that since before I was pregnant), so I'm hopping mad that there could be something that should have been done to prevent this happening again).

Had blood taken and maybe another scan next week to confirm either way.

Psmith83 · 13/10/2014 11:38

Curtains- very sorry to hear this. Glad they have some ideas about what it might be. Look after yourself. X
