Absolutely LOVE the name Lola but its my dogs name - considered changing the dogs name but we've had her 8 years and we keep forgetting to use another name!! DH likes Esme but i'm not entirely convinced, quite like Lyla as its similar to Lola but i'm going round in circles and getting nowhere fast. DH chose my DD's name so i want to choose this one!! Considered Lolita so i can shorten it to Lola after my dog has popped his clogs but my mum nearly fainted when i mentioned Lolita!!!

Any suggestions or views on any of the above? I actually cannot get anywhere with this muddle of names and can't seem to find any new ones either - my brain is like jelly at the mo!

pretty name, obv. very feminine

Lolabelle · 14/09/2006 14:12

Esme Elle as a 1st and middle name?? Too much or nice?? My surname starts with a B and is not long or short - two syllables..

dont see the point of middle names myself

3andnomore · 14/09/2006 14:14

anniediv....that must have been a bit annoying then, to choose an unusual name and then a TV programme being called after it!
My ys is called Flynn and the only time I had ever come across that name was on "Home & Away"....well...we liked the name, and it was sort of ideal solution and all that...well...a friend of mine has a SIl who had a boy shortly after me and who called him Flynn, and on another Forum there is a girl with a FLynn, and there are probably a lot more about afterall, lol...never mind eh!

Lexie

Beauregard · 14/09/2006 14:17

I love the name Kitty Belle

anniediv · 14/09/2006 14:17

3andnomore, I didn't think Lola was that unusual! My other dds already had the books, so maybe I had it in my subconscious, but it is annoying to think that people suspect we named her after a TV prog!

Lolabelle · 14/09/2006 14:18

Like Lexi - quite like using middle names as its a chance to use two nakmes you love! My friend uses her middle name as she hates her first name - how gutted would you be as a parent if your child did that??!

We named our dd Poppy, we also had a cat that we inherited called Poppy too , so we just called the cat puss from then on.

Beauregard · 14/09/2006 14:20

Also like the two that Foxtrot suggested and
Evie

3andnomore · 14/09/2006 14:22

Oh Foxtrott...I love the name Lainey sooo pretty
Lolabelle...hm...Esme Elle...not sure about it...my boys all have 2 middlenames, but we always choose names for mn's that were family names...so had a speacial meaning to us
anniediv...yeah that is annoying...lol...with es everybody ask if he was called after the England Football Trainer, as his name is Sven, lol...he is 10years old....Sven wotsis has only been famous over here for the past 5 years or so, I think, lol...not a footy fan so don't really know....!
