Def right to get Ganesha on the case. Can we have a cat pic too for good measure? Big hugs to pip & lentil, sending lots of positivity your way & hoping for good outcomes.

lentil tell me about the hungry all the time bit!! I eat and about 2 hours later I am ready to go again! I was hanging by break time this morning and by home time I was going to eat myself! Also don't know if this is to do with my cold or a pregnancy thing but I have quite a drooly mouth! Like lots of saliva.

Good call on the cereal rp. I love a bit of cereal in a cup as a snack. I had an ovaltine the other night and you do feel all those vitamins do you good.

FeatherFeather11 · 08/12/2014 20:35

Good luck and Berrie vibes for tomorrow pip and lentil. I'll be checking in for your updates. xx

sparechange · 08/12/2014 20:54

Oh gosh scans tomorrow, are these early scans?
Keeping everything crossed for you ladies x

Early scan for me as it is the last contact with the IVF clinic. I'll be 7+4. After this they'll hand me over to the regular NHS.

Pipbin · 08/12/2014 21:54

Lentil You know what you said about eating right - veggie Colin Caterpillars count as healthy eating don't they?

winohhh · 09/12/2014 00:02

Good luck for the scans lentil and pip! I had very few symptoms at 7/8 weeks. A bit of nausea, that was it really. Everything crossed for you!!

Pipbin · 09/12/2014 08:04

Good luck today Lentil.

Shuffle up ladies, Pixie is coming aboard!

ladybunnikins · 09/12/2014 10:13

Hopefully good news comes in threes today, good luck Lentil and Pip!

thelentil · 09/12/2014 10:13

All good, 6 + 3 and being transferred to EPAS, need to make appointment with midwife, still can't wait for that 12 week safety deadline

sparechange · 09/12/2014 10:17

GREAT news, Lentil!
Pip, your turn at the wheel of good news now...

thelentil · 09/12/2014 10:21

Yeah cake is healthy, just googled Colin Caterpillar cake, it's green and green is totally healthy

Pipbin · 09/12/2014 11:12

So, there is a viable pregnacy and we saw the heartbeat but it is measuring small. It should be 7+4 but it measured at 7. The clinic aren't completely happy with it and want me back in a week to see a weeks growth.

sparechange · 09/12/2014 11:21

Good news, pip
Did they say anything about lack of symptoms?

winohhh · 09/12/2014 12:25

I think that's good news pip. I did a bit of reading about this, and it's very difficult for them to measure accurately so early, and the research papers they use to estimate gestational age don't have many people measured so early, so not that valid.

There are loads of examples when people have been a bit behind and all us fine. I understand the worry though. Why can't it be easy??!! I hope the week passes quickly. Xx

thelentil · 09/12/2014 13:37

I was told 6 + 3 with a margin of error of 5 days, 6 days ago it was 5 + 1 so there are big variations at this stage

FeatherFeather11 · 09/12/2014 16:33

Good news lentil and pip - all sounds very promising. pip I know it's hard, but please try not to worry too much at this stage. I had my due date adjusted by a whole week at the 12w scan, so everything is changeable. Not easy, but try not to worry about it till you know more in a couple of weeks xx

Pipbin · 09/12/2014 17:03

I think the thing with IVF is Lentil that they know to the minute when they put the embryo in there.

thelentil · 09/12/2014 17:20

It's the measurement that has a margin of error, 6 days ago I was told 5+1, today it's 6+3, so at least one of those was wrong by 3 days, at this stage dating isn't exact and looking at the fuzzy blurry images I can see why.

You saw a heartbeat and they said it was viable, so hang on to that, I know it's hard, my partner and my mum are both really pleased but I just can't make myself be happy about it yet

greatbigbushybeard · 09/12/2014 19:12

Great news you guys. Know it must be a bit of a worry pip but for now there is a heartbeat and a baby and they will check you in a week so that's good too. You just keep that cat near you & Ganesha!! Also I echo what the others say about measurements being easy to get slightly wrong as everything is so small at this point.

Fabulous news for pixie too! Come on over girl!!

FeatherFeather11 · 09/12/2014 22:30

Hang on, in all this scan news I missed the Pixie announcement!! Congrats lovely! And welcome!

RevoltingPeasant · 10/12/2014 09:51

Hello all!

pip and lentil congrats. pip I also got told that they could be out by up to 5 days at that point, and because we did AI turkey bastering we also knew what day it went in. But it may have taken time to implant and also they did say to me when I was scanned at 7+0 that their own measurements might be wrong.

I think they are just being super cautious as they don't want to get your hopes up but I think it will be fine. Just hang on there :)

pixie welcome!!

I am currently suffering from third-trimester insomnia which is the pits. I wake regularly at around 3.45am and cannot. Go. Back. To. Sleep. Argh! Am like walking dead at work today, hence messing about on here!

I had my 32w check with GP yesterday. He is my registered GP but I had never met him before. He was, er, quite a character! Lovely but a bit odd. He first of all announced that he could see I had only one kidney (nope Confused) and then measured my bump solely with his hand through my t-shirt and said magisterially 'the baby is a fine size' - well done you and your ultrasonic hands, I thought! Grin Even experienced MWs use tape measures....

Finally he said they had me down as a 'Miss' and did I use that title - I sort of said 'ah I answer to anything but I do use Dr at work' - and his response was, seriously, 'Well you should get that changed, as it's confusing - people looking at your records will think you're a single parent' Shock Confused

Yes, because that really is the important thing at an antenatal appointment!

Anyhow, he is leaving the practice in a few weeks, apparently, so never mind. And I have my repeat 20w/ fetal anomaly scan next week -- eeek! To check the dino's kidneys and see if there is a still a problem there. How did 33w creep up on me so fast????

Pipbin · 10/12/2014 17:02

I'm really struggling today ladies. What if my little bean doesn't make it? what if that little flicking heartbeat is all there ever is?
I'm one of these people who comes across as very on top of it all and stoical but actually I'm panicking.

Talk some sense into me please.

thelentil · 10/12/2014 18:35

I feel the same Pip, I've had two scans, saw a heartbeat on both of them, still convinced it's not going to make it, I'm just trying not to think about it, can't think about the future, unable to look in Mothercare or the baby section at the supermarket.
