Pip
I've had a weird floaty feeling for a few days. More like when you are massively hungover and don't have proper depth perception than being pissed though.
Oh god, please tell me I haven't signed up to a 9 month hangover...

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 09:46

Spare. I feel exactly like that. Like a hang over without the headache.

sparechange · 27/11/2014 09:56

I've just bought myself a pain au chocolat. That was always my hangover breakfast...

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/11/2014 10:18

The hangover feeling is grim, you have my sympathy. Carbs carbs and more carbs, especially if the nausea gets worse
My depth perception is still iffy now

RevoltingPeasant · 27/11/2014 18:18

Pip any chance you could have low iron?

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 18:20

Interesting thought RP. I'm vegetarian but I am taking iron supplements.

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/11/2014 18:53

Pip separate point; are you taking pregnancare (or the equivalent)? Just iron supplements isn't enough

thelentil · 27/11/2014 20:07

Hi all, may I join? Got a faint BFP nearly two weeks ago, have since done 8 tests and they're getting stronger, booked in for 7 week scan in 12 days time

thelentil · 27/11/2014 20:17

Empathising with Pip, I'm 40 next year and this one is after two MMCs 18 months and 2 years ago. Every twinge and cramp is making me fret, I've done 3 digital tests as well as 5 normal ones, the first digital said 1 to 2, the second said 2 to 3 and when the third said 2 to 3 I just thought, well that's that then. Will test again in the morning

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 20:24

I'm not taking pregnacare or any multi vitamins. The fertility clinic are very against multi vitamins. No long term research into multivitamins have ever been completed as the cases of cancer were too high.
My fertility consultant said that no one should ever take pregnacy multivitamins.

What I am taking, on clinic advice, is iron, vitamin D, folic acid and vitamin c.

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 20:25

Did you request your early scan lentil or was it offered due to the MMCs?

thelentil · 27/11/2014 20:30

Because I'm having fertility treatments, they offered it at the fertility centre, if they hadn't I would have got one from early pregnancy place due to previous MMCs

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 20:30

Just to prove I'm not a crank.

Pip, years ago when I had anaemia, doc said to have more Guinness and chocolate, for the iron! Chocolate has iron apparently

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 20:38

Chocolate it is then. And there I've been eating green leafy veg when I could have had chocolate.

thelentil · 27/11/2014 20:40

I'm not having any caffeine at all, not even cadburys dairy milk, or any alcohol of any sort since starting treatment, not using chemical cleaning products, or anything antibacterial, even toothpaste, it's getting excessive

thelentil · 27/11/2014 20:42

Obsessing about lack of symptoms (except twinges and cramp), whilst eating sauerkraut straight from the jar... Errrr

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 21:39

I was obsessing about the lack of symptoms until today. Now I am obsessing about my nipples.

Were you on the Berry threads Lentil I'm sorry if I seem rude but I don't remember you.

thelentil · 27/11/2014 21:55

I was on a previous thread, a TTC one I think, months ago, I remembered talk of a berry copter so when I got my VFP (very faint positive) thought if come find you

thelentil · 27/11/2014 21:57

Obsessing to the point of feeling elated at a tiny bit of mild nausea or farting

greatbigbushybeard · 27/11/2014 22:43

And there you were worrying about lack of symptoms pip. The weird hangover thing sounds common then.

Interesting about multivitamins. I've just finished my pack of pregnacare & have a bottle of folic acid and vitamin d. Maybe I'll stick to that instead of replacing the pregnacare.

V sad about poor trill.

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 22:44

I know. I was sure Trill was going to join us here.

thelentil · 28/11/2014 09:59

What's the ettiquette? Have I gate crashed?

ladybunnikins · 28/11/2014 13:12

Hi Lentil, no I think you're OK. Most people have joined this thread after graduating from the berries TTC thread, but looking at the list at the top, I think there have been a few people who have just joined this thread as long as they met the criteria. You mentioned fertility treatment, was this pregnancy IVF? Hope you got your 3+ today! I had a chemical with my first which never progressed beyond 1-2 so it was reassuring seeing the progression.
I've had my anomaly scan today which was all fine, they just couldn't get a good image of the bottom part of the spine so I've got to go back in two weeks for another scan. Hopefully they'll be able to see if it's a girl or boy then too, today the legs were tightly closed!

RevoltingPeasant · 28/11/2014 13:39

Lentil welcome Smile I think everyone who is in a similar position to us is most welcome and it's nice to have new people to liven up the place.

How far along are you now? Have you booked in with MW yet, as well as your early scan? I had a 7w scan due to what they charmingly call a threatened abortion and you could clearly see the little heart beating, which is ace! I cried Blush

Pip I may be wrong but I think being pg does weirdo things to your iron levels so even if you are normally fine you might want to specifically get them checked out. They do bloods in early pg where I am, but I'm sure if that's a possibility you can get them done earlier or ask the practice nurse to check a sample for you.

Bushy I have stuck with Pregnacare throughout, and use their Omega+ version which is two pills, one with omega and one ordinary pg multivit. I have to say that barring a few scares I have felt really well this pg, and not been ill at all besides morning sickness. I am also a total sucker for the whole 'helps your baby's brain and eye development' thing! But possibly more money than sense going on Grin

So the HB MW team dropped off my 29w bloods results last night and they are all normal, including the extra kidney function test which I have to have due to my dodgy renal stuff - in fact, my creatinine levels, which indicate kidney function, have got better during the pg despite pg being supposed to put loads of strain on the kidneys.

Well, I'm not arguing!

Going to see the HB MW next week at home, so it's all going ahead. Cannot believe I am over 30w now (30+4) Shock
