Hi guys, nice to see more people climbing aboard the copter and early signs of movement! Currently cuddling a very lovely little boy who is entirely worth all the stress and discomfort.

RevoltingPeasant · 31/08/2014 19:44

Jess, hi! Congrats Grin massive well done and hope you are recovering okay?

KittenOfWoe · 01/09/2014 14:52

jess how lovely, when did you have him? What brilliant inspiration to stay positive you are! Thanks

FeatherFeather11 · 01/09/2014 18:21

Congrats Jess! Lovely news!

How's everyone else doing? I'm counting down the days for the 20w scan now. Got my glucose fasting test this Friday. Have any of you guys been booked in for that?

rp how the sickness is easing

win nearly half way!!

lady all well?

KittenOfWoe · 01/09/2014 21:15

Berries I feel sick as a freaking dog today :(
feather I'm only 7+2 and I've already had my appt letter re the glucose test next year, keen lot.

RevoltingPeasant · 01/09/2014 22:04

Kitten embrace the sickness, it is telling you you have strong levels of hormone!

But it is a total pisser. Mine is just easing off properly over the last few days - I still have strong aversions to anything healthy veg and fish, but I have otherwise eaten normally since my last bad day last Thurs. Am 18w today Shock

Feel like I've been pg for a whole now, but went to antenatal Pilates tonight and seeing all the 30-odd-week bumps made me realise how long I have to go!

I haven't been offered a glucose test but I've also been told I'm not in a high risk group for GD so maybe that is why?

Feather when is your 20w scan? Mine is 19th Sept - 18 days away - eek! Starts mentalling......

FeatherFeather11 · 02/09/2014 20:46

Pooh, kitten, The Sickness is horrible but rp is spot on - it's a good sign! Hold tight and it eventually passes. I found eating little and often helpful. Anything plain. I've practically turned into a Ryvita, I've eaten so many.

rp I'm 18 weeks on Thursday and my scan is on 16 Sept. Mentalling has well and truly kicked off here.

Oh god! I'm high risk for GD? Why don't they explain these things!

RevoltingPeasant · 02/09/2014 23:43

Oh no Feather, I don't know you're high risk for GD! I think some areas just do it to everyone whereas mine only seem to if you're in a risk group. I've asked about GD a couple of times as I thought my white carbs only diet might put me at risk Blush they said not, and didn't say anything about being tested so I'm guessing I won't be.

Went swimming again today and was so lovely to be ACTIVE and doing something as opposed to sat on my arse feeling queasy! Sorry Kitten, your time will come!

How's everyone else? Lady?

RevoltingPeasant · 02/09/2014 23:44

Win when is your 20w scan?

ladybunnikins · 03/09/2014 08:35

I've found being back at work tough this week due to the tiredness and nausea, just counting down the days until Saturday! I worked with a colleague yesterday who has just announced she's 12 weeks pregnant. She has a high BMI and it was accidental so previously that would have really pissed me off, but it was nice to talk to her about it like a normal person!

KittenOfWoe · 03/09/2014 09:05

Aw lady that's lovely to hear you're in such a good place.
Sorry you're feeling icky at work though :( I'm unemployed and looking for a job at the moment (actually stood outside an office right now, early for and interview) and this feels like the last thing on earth I want to be doing.

winohhh · 03/09/2014 11:24

20 week scan on Tuesday. Eek!!

I'm also booked in for a gestational diabetes test, not till November though. I think I'm high risk because of my age (I think it's standard here for over 35's). Not too worried. I don't have any other risk factors (and still find it hard to believe I'll still be pregnant in November!!)

RevoltingPeasant · 03/09/2014 13:53

Oh win exciting! I know what you mean though, I am actually if anything starting to get more nervous about the 20w scan than the 12w one. I don't know why!

I keep having this stupid idea in my head that I've somehow made it all up, or it's gone away or something Confused And I'll have to tell people it was fake. Weird!

kitten good luck for your interview. I'm feeling sicky again today so having to eat my words about feeling so much better!

ladybunnikins · 03/09/2014 14:59

I hope the interview went well Kitten. My DH went for one yesterday and has been offered it today but it means a commute of nearly 100 miles each way so we've got some thinking to do.

Bunnygirlie · 03/09/2014 21:28

Hiya peeps, how's tricks?

OP posts:
RevoltingPeasant · 04/09/2014 19:43

Hello all. Just made the sobering discovery that only 1 of the 3 pairs of mat jeans I got given by a friend really fits well now. They were all fine a few weeks ago

I may have to go shopping this weekend.

Otherwise, still being sick, but forced myself to go to gym tonight, and slowly ticking along towards 20 w scan! Two weeks tomorrow.

chloechloe · 05/09/2014 18:43

Hey ladies! I've been peering round the door for a while but thought I might come and join you! Some of you know me from the berry thread (hi all!). For those who don't, I'm 11+4, was lucky to get a BFP on our first IVF round after nearly 2 years of trying.

It still feels really unreal at the moment!

ladybunnikins · 06/09/2014 13:01

I've just been for my scan and there was one tiny little heartbeat! They measured it as 8+3 so all looks well (I'm 8 weeks exactly according to me.) Very relieved!

FeatherFeather11 · 06/09/2014 16:04

Berries! Hope you're all well. Have had a crazy hectic week at work so I've not had a chance to get on here.

lady hoorah! Such a relief to see a little bean and a heartbeat, isn't it? How's the sickness? Hope not too bad.

chloe congrats and welcome! Great news you're so far along. Are you booked in for your 12w scan? When is it?

rp know what you mean about clothes not fitting right. What are you doing at the gym? Was just saying to OH how much I miss the endorphin rush of full in exercise but not quite sure what's allowed. I was told getting my core temp up too much is a bad idea, but I need to do more than walking.

win how exciting! Bet you can't wait for Tuesday. Mine's next Tuesday and can't come soon enough. My mind is in overdrive right now. Send you positive berry goodness and will check in to see how you get on.

Had to move my diabetes test forward a week as I couldn't get out if work, so it's on Thursday. Went to my first pregnancy yoga class this morning and loved it. It was a lot more gentle than I was expecting, but very relaxing and lovely all the same. Can't believe I'm 18 + 4 now. Very nervous that something will be wrong. Are any of you berries due around the same time feeling any movement yet? I'm not. Also, I don't look pregnant yet - just a bit fat. I feel like a total changer in some ways!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend. Weird weather in London at the moment - all grey and hazy but warm. Feels like I'm in a dream, speaking of which, I dreamt last night that I had the scan and it was a bit instead of a girl. Weird!

FeatherFeather11 · 06/09/2014 16:07

*boy instead of girl

And

*chancer instead of changer

Bloody autocorrect!

winohhh · 06/09/2014 18:01

I think I need to buy maternity clothes. The hair band/ bump band aren't doing the job anymore!! Will wait till the scan on Tuesday and if all okay, will have a splurge on new clothes!

Feather, I'm just back from the gym. Only swimming though do hardly an endorphin rush, but I feel good for going. Had pregnancy yoga yesterday also. This one is also very gentle, love it!

20 weeks today! I catch myself getting excited and have to rein myself in.

Welcome Chloe!! How're you feeling? Great scan news lady!

Feather, I'm not sure if I'm feeling movement or not. It could all be in my mind/ wind. Nothing obvious yet.

RevoltingPeasant · 06/09/2014 19:12

Lady, big big congrats Grin you know you are in with a really good chance now, right? Do you know when your 12w scan is?

Hi Chloe! Welcome :) have you had your 12w scan yet, is that where you had those awful comments made? Angry or are you still waiting?

Feather I have started pg Pilates and will be doing pg yoga from next week! Our last Pilates class, we did breathing through contractions..... Weird!

I went mat clothes shopping yesterday as sick of having only 4 tops to wear. I can recommend New Look; it's cheap and doesn't look like Hobbs or anything, but for a few months at work, it's fine.

So slightly dramatic night last night! Because of my long term kidney issues, I am at increased risk of UTIs - not so much bladder infections, but kidney ones, which are more dangerous. So last night I started having kidney pain, which is annoying but not unusual, but I'd also had a couple of missed calls from the antenatal clinic and hadn't been able to get hold of them. I started to wonder if perhaps they had been ringing me because my last urine sample had shown bacteria, and the pain indicated the start of an infection. I think DH thought I was being ott, but I started getting teary thinking about what could happen to the dino, so I rang NHS direct and they referred me to OOH GP. Who was excellent! He really listened, did a urine sample, and listened to the dino's HB (he let DH in to listen too). Then this morning they rang to say I did have raised levels of bacteria, and I have to go on a 2 week course of antibiotics - and they faxed the script through to my local Morrison's!

Very impressed, really glad I went and feel very well taken care of. Also was good to talk to the dr about what actually does happen if you get a kidney infection, as I thought it could trigger premature labour, but that's only if it gets really bad and you get associated blood poisoning, apparently.

So all around, phew!!!

RevoltingPeasant · 06/09/2014 19:15

Oh and Feather, doing cross trainer at the gym for about 30min, but v gently. The ones at our gym let you track your HR so I make sure it's not going up too far. They also have one of those trigger point foam rollers, which are amazing if you have sore hips or tight muscles like me!

KittenOfWoe · 06/09/2014 23:27

I have to ask, berries, does anyone else find that one of the worst moment of your day is sitting up for the first time of a morning? Going from horizontal to vertical makes my poor boobs howl!!! Do yous use as keep bras or anything?

KittenOfWoe · 06/09/2014 23:27

*sleep bras, even.
