Feather no, I'm away with my parents this week. Plus I read that if you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks there's a 98% chance the pregnancy will continue whereas with a heart beat at an earlier scan the chances of survival are about 75%.

KittenOfWoe · 27/08/2014 08:52

Hi winohhh!
Few berry names I recognise in here, yay.
I'm bang on with lady (6+4 today) and I feel like ass. Always feel like there's a hangover looming, without the fun! Got acid throat and nausea that comes and goes all frigging day, not throwing up regularly but am being sick every now and then. Oh, and I have right sore baps!

winohhh · 27/08/2014 19:20

I felt like I had a hangover till about week 11 kitten! No vomiting for me though.

KittenOfWoe · 28/08/2014 16:28

Thanks feather! It will be Friday 10th October, sooooo impatient hehe.
I had a bit of spotting at the weekend with bright red blood, so I had a chat with the midwife and went in for a blood test yesterday. Hormone level was optimistically high so they asked me back in today for a scan.... and husby and I saw the heart beating Grin they confirmed we're 6-7 weeks, and all looks fine. Yay!

ladybunnikins · 28/08/2014 17:38

Yay kitten! Must make it feel so much more real now!
Are weird dreams a symptom? I dreamt last night that I had a baby boy and he was born with teeth!

Lady exciting, only just over a week to go now till your scan!

Yes, I had a dream the night before last that the 20w scan showed it was a boy but he was autistic and had ADHD (I know scans can't actually show this!) and I was wondering how I would cope Shock

Kitten HELLO. Grin Yes, come in and start the real fretting! Good for you hearing a HB.

And yes to both under-12-weekers, I read when I was about 7-8 weeks that if they see a HB after 7 weeks the chances of having a successful pregnancy are 97%-ish so that is very good news. FX for you Lady!

So, right now I am fat (how, when I am being sick so much?) and it really is lard, not baby - back hurts - and today I had the MOST DELIGHTFUL moment which I can't even share with DH as we would never have sex again - I went to the bathroom to have a shower and suddenly felt really ill - but I needed a wee - so I stood in the shower and leant over the sink to throw up whilst simultaneously weeing myself as my pelvic floor couldn't cope with the retching.

That, right there, is your second trimester blooming at work Hmm

Having covered myself with glory and pee I'm off to do my pelvic floor x - looks like I might need them Blush

RevoltingPeasant · 28/08/2014 17:49

Also Bunny you must be 35 w now right???? So a fortnight off term - can you believe it?

ladybunnikins · 28/08/2014 19:36

RP I've done that in the past when I couldn't even use pregnancy as an excuse!

winohhh · 28/08/2014 22:29

RP, I sneezed the other day and a bit of wee came out! I've been religious with my pelvic floor exercises since!

Great scan news kitten!

RevoltingPeasant · 28/08/2014 23:26

Classy, ladies, classy Grin

Bunnygirlie · 29/08/2014 09:06

Hellooooooo

Hoorah for seeing a HB kitten

RP I remember those classy days! more in first tri for me! having to make the decision to either go for a wee or grab a drink/food to stop the gagging, gagging anyway and ending up with wet knix, sad times!

Hope you are all coping ok with the early worries, mid worries, worries that last all through I'm afraid.

Yep 35w today, very scary! Having NCT classes about labour and contractions etc, have tried not to think about these things till now, it's pretty scary!!!

Hello congrats to all the new bfpers. V exciting! Fx for you all.

Agree with bunny in that there always seems to be something to worry about!

rp to make you feel better I had to go for a wee one day early on and also had an upset stomach at the same time. I was sat on the toilet and suddenly thought I need to be sick so had to puke at the same time (thankfully the sink was just next to the toilet). This set off a nose bleed so had all four happening at the same time. Lovely eh?! I told dh so have probably ruined our sex life for good (if long term ttc hasn't already done that!)

When are all your 12 and 20 week scans then? Would love for some newbies to join the FB thread but don't worry no pressure from me as I didn't dare join until I had my 20 week scan.

KittenOfWoe · 29/08/2014 11:08

yorkie we've had a letter saying the dating scan will be Friday 10th October. Tbh I'm not going to fully believe it til after that :) still pinching myself!

GnomieGrace · 29/08/2014 12:48

Hello Copter Berries! I was pretty new to the Berrie thread so here's my stats: TTC #1 since May 2013, irregular cycles cycle #11, MC April 2014, aged 30 and 8 months BFP 29/08/14

KittenOfWoe · 29/08/2014 14:05

Hey grace, welcome welcome! So excited for another berry onboard!

Just realised I never statted, so here's me:
32yrs 8months, been ttc since March 2013, irregular cycles, suspected early menopause, natural BFP on 11/08/2014!

RevoltingPeasant · 29/08/2014 21:29

Hmmmmm are any of you second trimester people more sort of, aware of your uterus? Confused

I have been having this odd feeling for about a week now, where I don't have cramps or contractions or any pain, or even discomfort, but I can sort of just feel my uterus, like I'm aware of it being there, being bigger, and occasionally there are feelings like its shifting or moving.

None of this hurts but I keep having The Terror that I am somehow going into extremely premature labour and will lose the dino. This is mad, right?

Confused
FeatherFeather11 · 29/08/2014 22:42

rp it is mad, but you have nothing to fear - totally normal apparently. I've been feeling the same thing: stretching round the sides, a weird feeling in my lower belly, and when I touch it, it almost feels like I can feel my uterus. I've been freaking and googling and now I'm just accepting. Everything is fine. Read yesterday that at our stage, the baby is going through it's biggest growth spurt (weeks 16-20), so it must be that.

RevoltingPeasant · 29/08/2014 22:55

Thanks Feather! I'm sure you're right. It is a bit tender now but I guess that would make sense. Urgh hope I don't stay awake worrying......

Right: today I am pregnant!

winohhh · 30/08/2014 15:56

Hope you got some sleep RP. I've been feeling 'flutterings' for a weeks or so. Cant decide whether they are wind or not. Feels like it's getting more definite. I'm hoping this is the start of movement! 19 weeks!

RevoltingPeasant · 30/08/2014 20:53

Oh Win that is so exciting! Grin

Yeah, after my little melodramatic moment last night, I slept like a log for 9 hours and did a 10 mile walk on the Cornish coast with DH today! Was lovely to be outside again and moving around. I also managed to go swimming yesterday for the first time since about week 5, which was amazing too as we used to go twice a week religiously and then I had to stop cos of the sickness.

I am really hopeful that I might be able to start doing more exercise now and get a bit less fat

RevoltingPeasant · 30/08/2014 20:56

Also Win you realise you are pretty much halfway now, right? So, you just have to get through the same length of time you've already been pg for (if that makes sense) and then you'll have your baby!

I know physically it will get harder but mentally, it must be like going down the other side of a hill you've climbed......
