Hi all. Sorry I've not been around much, it was DS 6th birthday and it too all my energy, it seems only 5 mins ago he was that tiny 2 1/2 pound scrap in his incubator!!
Welcome to the newbies, fergie teaandhobnobs brummie, your in the right place, lots of hand holding and fish slapping here. No query, question or wobble is too small, and 100% one of us will have thought/felt that way too at some point.
g&t your doctor sounds appalling, to even suggest ectopic pregnancy and being blasé about it is horrendous, he should have sent you straight to EPAU if he truly thought this!
gail I would chase up your midwife if I were you
bluestars I went to Spain when I was 9 weeks pregnant last time (even though it was a mmc at 5 weeks I hadn't found out about yet) and it didn't cause any issues. I think the general concensus is before about 24 weeks is fine, perhaps ask the gp or midwife for advice if your unsure - and as for the discharge, maybe go to the epau if you can self refer, just for peace of mind
baby I hope the sickness passes soon, I lost 13lbs in the first trimester and it's just awful. All I could eat were bananas or beans on toast haha
toddler I can totally relate to "the fear". I'm now at the stage where DS was born (32 weeks) so spend every single day thinking it could be today, which I'm sure does nothing to help my blood pressure. Just don't go jumping the gun and having the baby before me ;-)
As for me, I have a scan tomorrow at 32+1. DS was born at 32 weeks exactly due to PET but a scan before delivery found I had IUGR and significantly reduced fluid so they are scanning me at the same time frame, especially as my blood pressure has been around 138/82 even though I'm on labetalol. Fingers crossed all is well and I come home from hospital rather than being admitted for some reason or other. All being well (or not) I'm seeing the consultant on Tuesday to discuss everything, ie breech, c section vs vbac, blood pressure and breech baby (if it's not turned). Urgh, these next 8 weeks can't go quick enough, I can't wait to meet this baby and find out if it's a prince or princess :-)
