Thanx fedup it's not much fun but I guess it means things are healthy tablets are taking the edge off managed some toast so slightly less grumpy now :)
Your not alone fedup finding it hard to talk about baby when it's here I was the same with ds and I haven't let myself think that far ahead with this one.

Hope all is going well with you blue

TeaandHobnobs · 12/07/2014 20:59

blue fingers crossed for you

I'm not feeling at all pregnant today Sad I will do another IC in the morning and see if the line has got any darker. I can't bear this waiting though. I'm debating with myself whether to book a private scan for two weeks time or something, just so I know if it is true or not (I'm 6+1 on LMP, but probably a bit less). ARGH!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 12/07/2014 21:27

babytinx glad the tablets are working for you. Hopefully second trimester will be here soon enough for you. Third is awful again and I didn't remember I was that bad last time. But DH kept telling me I was. I have lost my appetite and just feel un comfortable all the time. It might be the hot weather too as I just lay on bed sweating. I so wish I have air con at home.

Did I say I'm looking forward to maternity leave so I can take an afternoon nap?

Brummiegirl15 · 12/07/2014 21:28

Hi all, can I join please?

I'm 37, ttc#1 and currently 3+3 so really really early days!! I had an mc at 4+5 back in May and I am terrified!!!

Really scared the same thing will happen again so eroding everything crossed.

Going to book an early scan for 7 wks but haven't sorted doc appt yet as guess its too early. Will probably wait a couple of weeks (just in case!!)

Am weeing a lot and am SO tired!!!!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 12/07/2014 21:28

hobnobs if the early scan will make you feel better, then it will be worth it.

BlueStarsAtNight · 13/07/2014 00:21

Thank you, we have managed to have a lovely day and so far only had the one episode of blood, so keeping everything tightly crossed that all is ok. Any more and I will definitely go to epu on Monday though.

baby I'm glad to hear the tablets are taking the edge off your sickness.
TandH I didn't feel pregnant at all for the first week, but getting the odd spell of nausea and sore boobs now. Hope the line tomorrow is darker for you. If you are 6 weeks now there's a good chance you would see a heartbeat on a scan in the next week so if it will help then I'd say book one!
Welcome Brummiegirl, wow that's a super early bfp!

blankfornames · 13/07/2014 06:31

Blue, I had a bloody episode also about 2 wks ago. It's extremely unnerving but as long as it's not accompanied with pain, you should be fine. My doc explained that it can happen when everything is stretching down there. Just try to take it easy if you can.

Brummie, welcome, I remember you from another thread. Sorry to hear last time didn't work out for you.

amicablemoomin · 13/07/2014 08:12

welcome brummie

Babytinx11 · 13/07/2014 09:17

Hey brummie :)

Thanx for cheering me up there one there was me hoping to be all healthy ect like the women in the adverts on tv after 12 weeks lol I think I slept through most of the third trimester with ds :) no chance of that this time as long as I get a healthy bit in the middle it's all good :)

So glad you haven't had any more bleeding blue I had so bright red spotting last Monday and all was good at my last scan :) so fingers crossed it's the same for you :)
TandH if a scan will make you feel better go for it I've had 3 and i am only 5+6 got another a week Wednesday as well so if it's going to help you go for it :)

Brummiegirl15 · 13/07/2014 09:37

Thanks all!

Yes it is v early but I've got really short cycles (24 days) so actually only finding out on day 22 was only 2 days early.

But I'm so scared I have to admit. In my head my milestone is 4+5 but even that's so early!!

Babytinx11 · 13/07/2014 11:07

I had my bfp this time at about 3 weeks I have weird cycles though since mmc last year try and stay postive brummie :)

Brummiegirl15 · 13/07/2014 11:32

Thanks babytinx

I really want to be positive and I am, am trying to treat this one differently to last one "today I am pregnant" is something I tell myself every day.

DP is just warning me to not get carried away - bless him, his job means he thinks about what could the worst possible outcome for every scenario - so this is exactly the same!

Babytinx11 · 13/07/2014 12:49

I'd never heard "today I'm pregnant " till I joined this thread it certainly makes it easier to cope with knowing other people are going through the same as you :)

squizita · 13/07/2014 15:15

Anyone else had a 3rd trimester cold. Fishslapping self it is NOTHING else just a mild cold.

Any ideas what I can take for a sore throat bar paracetamol?

OP posts:
Babytinx11 · 13/07/2014 15:32

Honey and lemon I had a stinker a of a cold a about 4 weeks before I had ds honey and lemon worked wonders for my throat :) hope your feeling better soon squizita

silverine · 13/07/2014 16:57

Hi ladies, hope everyone is well. Sorry I have little time to read back.
Welcome brummie and hope you feel better soon tinx ms and sore throat must be bummer...

Well I had a scan on Friday, when I was 5+6, they say a gestational sac at 12mm but nothing else. I'd read the yolk sac should show up by 12mm gestational sac, so I had expected to at least see that, so I was thinking that was that... The doctor still recommended Intraveinous gama globulin (IVIG)transfusion because at my last blood tests my NK lymphosites were at the higher level of the referent range. My mum thought we should try everything possible even if it was no guaranteed. But I wondered if it was worth it if the development was behind already...

So yesterday we went to another doctor. He did a scan again and there was a heartbeat!! We so didn't expect it, things had changed within 24 hours!!! So we ordered the IVIG and I had it done last night. 250ml of medicine in 500ml of solution. It took over 4 hours! I was feeling like shit afterwards: fever, cold shivering, nausea, headache, really awful! But it was the evening so I went straight to bed and was fine by the morning. Let's hope it makes a difference... There are so many interventions that they can do here, whereas in the UK it's a wait and watch approach in the first trimester, so lucky timing to have booked to come here at this time.

Now trying to take it easy at the beach and stay in the shade. FX all works out this time. Best wishes to all! x

MrsGiraffe12 · 13/07/2014 17:16

Hi all. Sorry I've not been around much, it was DS 6th birthday and it too all my energy, it seems only 5 mins ago he was that tiny 2 1/2 pound scrap in his incubator!!

Welcome to the newbies, fergie teaandhobnobs brummie, your in the right place, lots of hand holding and fish slapping here. No query, question or wobble is too small, and 100% one of us will have thought/felt that way too at some point.

g&t your doctor sounds appalling, to even suggest ectopic pregnancy and being blasé about it is horrendous, he should have sent you straight to EPAU if he truly thought this!

gail I would chase up your midwife if I were you

bluestars I went to Spain when I was 9 weeks pregnant last time (even though it was a mmc at 5 weeks I hadn't found out about yet) and it didn't cause any issues. I think the general concensus is before about 24 weeks is fine, perhaps ask the gp or midwife for advice if your unsure - and as for the discharge, maybe go to the epau if you can self refer, just for peace of mind

baby I hope the sickness passes soon, I lost 13lbs in the first trimester and it's just awful. All I could eat were bananas or beans on toast haha

toddler I can totally relate to "the fear". I'm now at the stage where DS was born (32 weeks) so spend every single day thinking it could be today, which I'm sure does nothing to help my blood pressure. Just don't go jumping the gun and having the baby before me ;-)

As for me, I have a scan tomorrow at 32+1. DS was born at 32 weeks exactly due to PET but a scan before delivery found I had IUGR and significantly reduced fluid so they are scanning me at the same time frame, especially as my blood pressure has been around 138/82 even though I'm on labetalol. Fingers crossed all is well and I come home from hospital rather than being admitted for some reason or other. All being well (or not) I'm seeing the consultant on Tuesday to discuss everything, ie breech, c section vs vbac, blood pressure and breech baby (if it's not turned). Urgh, these next 8 weeks can't go quick enough, I can't wait to meet this baby and find out if it's a prince or princess :-)

Babytinx11 · 13/07/2014 17:27

Glad your enjoying your holiday silver you sound more positive aswell :) fab news about your scan too :)

MrsG it certainly doesn't seem that I am losing weight so
Far I am so bloated I look way further along than I am lol thankfully the tablet ls have stopped me actually being sick now it's just finding something I can actually stand to eat some how it's harder feeling as nauseous but not actually being sick guess sometimes you can't win but at least it means my little pip us healthy so I'll live with it :) hope all goes well with your scan tomorrow :)

Ellisisland · 13/07/2014 18:16

Baby - hope you start to feel better. I am 13 weeks and coming out of the other side so fingers crossed you can eat normally soon!

Silver - sorry if you have said but whereabouts are you now? I always find it so interesting what the maternity care is like in other countries. My closest friend is in America and we were comparing all the way through our last pregnancies!

Not much to report here just waiting for my midwife app at the end of the month. Keep looking at the photos and scan report from my 12 week scan to reassure me! Saw my 8 year niece yesterday who said 'auntie have you been eating a lot of cakes cos your tummy is getting big!' Cheeky mare! Grin

Babytinx11 · 13/07/2014 18:37

Me too ellis I miss food your are one of the 1st though not to say that they had it all the way through lol some people are just mean in my opinion lol
Glad your scan went well :) getting to 12 weeks is such a huge milestone did it make you feel anymore relaxed?

Ellisisland · 13/07/2014 18:49

Haha Baby I was sick in the first trimester with DS as well and it went at around 14 weeks then too so hope it's like that for you too

Yep the 12 weeks felt like a massive milestone and I have even started to get excited! I have no doubt I will still have wobbly moments and I will feel better once I have a 20 week scan but yeah I do feel better Smile

Babytinx11 · 13/07/2014 19:33

So glad that your starting to get excited ellis I really hoping I'll be able to relax a bit after I reach 12 weeks that just seems like a really long way off but maybe that that's the sickness talking lol

Davidtennantmistress · 13/07/2014 20:02

Quickly ladies, I need a fish and now!!! Dr Google has me freaking out again about m.c after seeing a heartbeat someone slap me now quickly, stepping away from Google stepping away. I wiped and had some yellow stuff on the paper front the front outside not in though. Re wiped all gone, not sure what it was. Hoping not my b.v I'll try to re finish the anti bionics I think to be sure? And just try to tolerate the vomiting.

Brummie hello, welcome I had my bfp at what would of been 3+4 ish I think, I ov'ed on cd 11 Dtd 7 days later implant bleed, first time ever in any pregnancy then 5 days on from that BFp mid day wee as well. Fingers crossed for you,

Mrs g good luck with your scan.

Tea relish the normal feeling as sickness soon returns!

Hope everyone's doing ok. We have had a major hormone thing I could sit and cry, and feeling so sick again, very sorry for myself! I'm thinking I may do a scan again in two weeks when I get paid, would I be totally naughty not to tell hubs? Just to break the 12 week wait up, will be 10 ish weeks by then. I ow only two more after but paranoia is setting. Again. Quick fish me the other side!

Davidtennantmistress · 13/07/2014 20:07

G/t if it helps I've been having all manor of pains in the right side of my ovary area, scan didn't show anything to be causing it,

Blue, hope you're ok.

Ooh ref non sore boobs, yeah that be due to my needing a new bra instead of one to enhance my sagging norks! Hence not overly sore as a proper one now makes for sore norks!

Babytinx11 · 13/07/2014 20:13

davidtennantsmistress stop looking at dr google it will give you nightmares!!!! Consider yourself fish slapped dr google is bad!! We all know the chance is there but it ls tinie tiny so stop googling it!!! Not that I can say much really I look at google allot about pregnancy things I shouldn't but it only causes more worry soo smile and repeat after me " today I am pregnant " then step away from google :)
