God g&t what a grade a shit of a doctor!!!

CorporeSarnie · 11/07/2014 15:47

GandT, it sounds like the doc isn't concerned, so try and relax a bit. Stretching pains in early pg really are normal, many of the ladies here have had them at some point. If there is no sign of infection in your urine that is a good thing.

One thing I do notice is that the need to wee is really not that closely related to the fullness of my bladder - and hasn't been for a lot of the pregnancy. I think that the hormones may influence this. As a way of making it feel less un-worthwhile I do try and drink a decent amount (a few cups of caffeine-free tea and glasses of water during the day/evening).
Stupidly spent yesterday much more on my feet in terrible (ballet) shoes than should have, am paying for it in lower back pain now. Bring on the weekend (woke up at 5.45 believing it to be Sat :( ).

GandTnow · 11/07/2014 15:49

Ha! Love your comments ladies! Grin I haven't got any medication Squizita but have just come back from giving blood sample. The results should be back on Monday. Still all achy but not weeing as much. I suppose if all is fine than its OK. Probably wont be going back to see said GP again though - his bedside manner is rather poor!

Thank you all for your support, you really do stop me going mad on a very regular basis xx

squizita · 11/07/2014 16:01

Ah sorry thought they'd given you something for a UTI for some reason. Even less reason to worry!

Babytinx11 · 11/07/2014 16:27

Wow GandT your doctor soundslike a prize ass I hope your feeling better soon

blankfornames · 11/07/2014 17:14

GandT, he's a plonker and should be reported for his 'bedside manner'. If you can at all possible, change doctors.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

GandTnow · 11/07/2014 17:27

Thank you everyone for seeing my GP for the arse he is! I certainly will see another in the practice from now on.

Still got a lot of back pain and cramping so taking paracetamol for it and hoping it goes away quickly. Just so tired today haven't got the energy to do anything.

Babytinx11 · 11/07/2014 17:38

GandT have you tried a hot water bottle or heat pack on your back?

fedupofrainydays · 11/07/2014 17:54

g&t he sounds like a right twat!
I've got to admit in the first tri I needed to wee loads and often was just a trickle. Went away for a while and now back. Think it's a hormone thing. I also had pain bad enough that needed paracetamol. So I do think even if not uti then the cramping and back ache is 'normal'. I know it makes it no less worrying for you. But I did have it too and turned out ok.

GandTnow · 11/07/2014 18:16

Thanks fedup good to know its not an unusual symptom - keep worrying because I don't feel sick all the time. Just really need to get to Wednesdays scan and it all be ok.

baby I'll give a hot water bottle a go I think, thanks x

Babytinx11 · 11/07/2014 19:59

Hope it helps GandT I'm going to see my gp on Monday see if there is anything I can get for my ms haven't kept anything down today and been getting bad dizzy spells hoping for some magic medicine it would be nice to actually be able to eat something or even just have a drink :)

GandTnow · 11/07/2014 20:17

Oh baby that sounds dreadful. I'm sure you're sick of people suggesting things, but have you tried something like an ice lolly? Might just help with liquid intake.

Hope you feel better soon and get something to help too x

Babytinx11 · 11/07/2014 20:21

I'll take any suggestions people have GandT I haven't tried an ice lolly but I will I feel awful for complaining about it but I need to be able to look after DS aswell

OneLittleToddleTerror · 12/07/2014 05:39

Hi everyone. Took me a while to catch up with the thread. I'm glad there aren't any bad news while I'm away. Just GPs who are arses or being useless. G&T hopefully it is nothing bad. I'm also trickling sometimes when feeling really need a wee. And then wanting to go 20min later again. Cramps and pains are common too. It is really hard to know what's normal sadly. Gail hopefully they can sort you out for the 12 week scan. I think the window is up it end of 13 weeks. But they didn't leave you much time did they? bluesky fwiw I went to Japan around 12 weeks when I was pregnant with DD. I even missed the time frame for the 12 week scan as it was a holiday we prebooked a long time before. It is amazing how little I worried before. I had a amazing time. I even ate sushi and sashimi!

I'm really counting down to maternity leave now. 3 more weeks of work left as I'm starting my annual leave from 33 weeks. Work has been crazy busy though. I felt I just sit at my desk, get up to the loo periodically, and spent rest of time stuck at the computer. I have started preparing for baby now. Got the cheeky wipes (very good and I have started using to wipe DD's face). I am going to pick up a toy and comfort blanket from mothercare today. We also started clearing out the guest bedroom of old furniture.

fedup I'm scared of prem or stillbirth. Or a difficult birth leading to disabilities. I'm just being really irrational through out this pregnancy. Can't help it Sad. As I was 37 weeks when DD came last time, I'm preparing for a early sept arrival. So I might end up finishing before mrsg and squizita!

GandTnow · 12/07/2014 07:25

Morning all, just to say I'm off to see family for the weekend and not back to Tuesday. Back still sore but not as bad and weeing seems 9fingers &legs crossed) to be slowing down a bit.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Baby hope you're feeling better and maybe try something like pretzels (currently eating about a ton a day!Blush)

OneLittleToddleTerror · 12/07/2014 08:27

baby when I told my midwife I didn't feel like eating anything but icecream. She actually told me it's fine and better than nothing. Hopefully you will find that magic food that you could keep down. Pregnancy is rubbish really!

Babytinx11 · 12/07/2014 08:30

Hope you enjoy your weekend GandT hubby took me to out of hours last night so I now have tablets for it was abit of a wet blanket sat crying on the bathroom floor doc was lovely really hoping the tablets work looking forward to being able to have a drink and maybe something to eat :)

squizita · 12/07/2014 10:26

One I'm also terrified of a 'worst case scenario' during birth. :( I think it's fairly common under our circumstances. I've no medical reason to fear it, normal pelvis, average size baby etc' ... but I just do.

OP posts:
Alb1 · 12/07/2014 11:30

one and squiz I'm also the same with that one too, for no real reason, but I still don't really like people talking about when the babies here through fear of ginx. DPs friends wanted to take him out to wet the babies head this weekends I'm only 33 weeks! Needless to say that idea did not pan out lol

BlueStarsAtNight · 12/07/2014 12:22

Shit just been to the loo and saw bloody discharge when I wiped. Have awful jelly feeling of fear in my tummy now :( DH and I are meant to be having a nice child free day and night at a concert tonight, now I'll have this hanging over me all day. I'm just praying it stops and doesn't come to anything :( and I'm not even religious!

Babytinx11 · 12/07/2014 12:36

Any one know anything about anti sickness medication does it need time to build up in your system taken it 3 times and no relief :( however I managed to keep some salt and vinager crisps and flat lemonade down which made my day lol

Hope everything is ok with you blue

BlueStarsAtNight · 12/07/2014 12:49

Thanks baby. I've not got any personal experience but a friend who had tablets for severe ms said she took one at night and the next day felt. Million times better. I hope they kick in soon for you- if they've not worked by Monday definitely go back and get something different.

Babytinx11 · 12/07/2014 12:55

I'm going to blue hoping they start working soon though on the plus side it is stopping me worrying which had to be a good thing

fedupofrainydays · 12/07/2014 20:33

I find it weird too talking about the baby when it's here. I did actually struggle too with ds but that was before mcs so now am doubly worse!

Sorry to hear about the sickness tinx no real suggestions as not been there that bad myself but sounds awful
:(

blue I hope the discharge is nothing and stops and that you can manage to enjoy you day off and out :)

bugs ahh glad you had a good look at buglet! I've always been out off by the 3/4d scans as seem pics of others and thought looked weird but it's probably not when on the screen (ie not pics!). Glad you enjoyed it

fedupofrainydays · 12/07/2014 20:35

Whoops - wrong thread re bugs - sorry!
