Thanx ellis I have ginger ale here trouble is that the smell is making me sick I'll try holding my nose and drinking it any way :) if it's gonna help I will try it :) sending DH & DS out for a bit sounds like the best idea I have heard all day think I'll send them out and go to bed :) dunno how I'll manage next week when DH is back in work really hoping this doesn't last long the idea of at least another 7 weeks like this is not appealing

Babytinx11 · 10/07/2014 14:13

GandT I would go and see your gp I am peeing every 30 seconds it feels like at the moment if if your leaking a but to
Might be an idea to get checked out incase you have an infection

silverine · 10/07/2014 18:50

So ladies, I'm off tonight! Supposedly on holiday, but at £10-15 a pop, I'll be having scans to my heart's content! Grin Have an appointment for tomorrow afternoon (when I'll be 6 weeks) and can do one the week after. Hope all is progressing as it should be and that we'll see a heartbeat before we return. Wish us luck! x

GandTnow · 10/07/2014 18:54

Good luck Silverine have a good rest x

I took a urine sample to the GP for testing and got a call back saying it had also been sent to the lab and could I go in for blood test tomorrow. The receptionist didn't know why I needed to do this. Any ideas? I've managed to convince myself its something sinister - fish slaps needed?

amicablemoomin · 10/07/2014 19:23

Have a great time silverine hope it is restful and relaxing, not to mention enjoying the bean viewing!

Not sure I'm afraid GandT - probably just checking up the infection side of things - they do like to be thorough.

Babytinx11 · 10/07/2014 20:06

GandT how far along are you? It's probably just looking for infection

GandTnow · 10/07/2014 20:14

I'm 8 +2 but really worried now as I'm getting low down cramping and cramps in my lower back. We're due to go away on Saturday to see family and I'm so worried something terrible is going to happen while we're away. Wont be back til Tuesday.

GailLondon · 10/07/2014 20:17

Have a lovely holiday silver! Wow if it was £15 a scan over here I'd be there every week! Make the most of it

Babytinx11 · 10/07/2014 20:51

GandT sounds like an infection so
That's probably why they want bloods when I had a kidney infection with my lb they did bloods for kidney function I wouldn't worry too much Hun back pain is pretty common with uti's and kidney infections x

fedupofrainydays · 10/07/2014 23:59

g&t sounds much like a urine infection. That's prob the reason for the other tests too. I would go back to your gp to check. All very treatable though.

GandTnow · 11/07/2014 08:30

Fedup, baby thanks for the info. The backache has got worse and is reminding of this stage last time when the baby stopped growing at 8 weeks and I had back pain. Trying really hard not to freak out (and failing). DH has nagged me to get a GP appointment today to ask for meds as we're going away. Hope the GP doesnt feel I'm wasting time as I haven't had the blood test done yet.

fedupofrainydays · 11/07/2014 08:36

Not time wasting g&t as impprtant you get treatment if it's an infection. Do it!!

GandTnow · 11/07/2014 08:40

Thanks fedup, just feel a bit weepy today as I can't face the same as last time and then feel cross because I'm not thinking rationally. I've got a private scan on Wednesday and even though I saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks I'm terrified!

Booked with GP - he's a bit of a dismissive Derek so will have to go armed with resolve!

fedupofrainydays · 11/07/2014 08:58

I know g&t it's so scary with any pain or twinge as after mc we start stressing at everything. Glad you have an appointment.

TeaandHobnobs · 11/07/2014 09:13

Best of luck for your appointment GandT. Don't let Dr Derek get you down! Smile

Happilymarried155 · 11/07/2014 09:17

I can't wait to get out of the danger zone, it's so stressful being so worried all the time! I'm 8+5, saw a beautiful little bean and heartbeat last week and have another scan next sat but I'm stressing again already! I keep trying to tell myself that I've had no pain or bleeding and once a heartbeat is seen you have a very very good chance of a successful pregnancy but I can't stop. It's taken so long and been such a long journey to get here I just can't believe it's real I suppose!

gnt you have definitely done the right thing going to the doctor, it's always good to ease any worries x

fedupofrainydays · 11/07/2014 09:27

Scans relieve the stress and worry for approx 48 hours! I had 4 in first trimester Blush

Now things have moved on to whether I think baby moves enough / and cramping scares me is prem labour. I'm a nut job through and through with this pregnancy. Was quite a sound, sensible person before I had two mcs and ttc for a year.

Happilymarried155 · 11/07/2014 09:31

At least I'm no

Happilymarried155 · 11/07/2014 09:32

Stupid phone! At least I'm not the only insane one! X

KeepingTheFaith9 · 11/07/2014 09:38

Hi ladies. Good luck on ur hols Silverine - I thought £100 a go for peace of mind was a good deal in my early weeks - so £15 a pop is amazeballs.

G&T, I am now almost 26 weeks and I still get what you describe - I've had antibiotics twice for a UTI but this last week the doc said that my urine showed no infection and that this kind of feeling can just be due to the body being preg and everything shifting.

It's horrible tho, I'm traveling on the train to work as I write and will have to get off at Marylebone to do what I know will be the smallest wee in the world - lol!

Happy Friday everyone! Keeping. Smile

GandTnow · 11/07/2014 10:03

Thanks everyone, have managed to get myself in a right state! Just back from GP who took another urine sample and said it was clear - yesterdays showed glucose level was high. He had a feel about - said it could be eptopic (even though I had a scan last week Confused) and then said, if it isn't ectopic, that these aches and pains just happen in pregnancy.

I explained I was worried due to past experience so he cheered me up with telling me 1 in 6 pregs end in mc - just natures way! Dismissive Derek strikes again!!

Babytinx11 · 11/07/2014 10:09

Hope all goes well at the docs GandT and you feel better soon try and relax uti's are nasty but with anti biotics you'll be ok :)

I'm spending today on the sofa probably with a bucket really tired and pukey today but at least it meansy little pip is ok :)

TeaandHobnobs · 11/07/2014 13:57

Oh GandT what a prize &@£*! Are there any other drs at the surgery you could see next time? Hope you can have a bit of a chill out this weekend

squizita · 11/07/2014 14:59

He had a feel about - said it could be eptopic (even though I had a scan last week confused) and then said, if it isn't ectopic, that these aches and pains just happen in pregnancy.

WOAH! He basically said "it could be life threatening requiring surgery or just some aches and pains" then!?! If he thought it was, he should have sent you to A&E ASAP, if he didn't ... he shouldn't have said it. Angry

To me, OK OK over the interwebz, it sounds like muscle pain. Keep an eye on it, take your medication but I really doubt it's something as dangerous as ectopic.
What an idiot!!!!
