I'm 35 weeks and driving myself crazy! I'm so uncomfortable and this heat isn't helping. I'm constantly expanding, my jeans are getting too tight but it seems silly to buy anymore now.

I just want him out, he must be just about big enough by now!

Anyone else feeling the same?

killasending good labour vibes to you.

ada and living hope all progresses smoothly.

Moo hopefully things will start to move soon.

Had a busy day, taking DD2 to swimming lessons then a party. DD1 impressed me by actually willingly reading her book whilst listening to music and declaring that she is a reading addict. I am so pleased as for a long time I worried that she would never understand how pleasurable reading is. She used to only read when necessary, and only ever want to look at books with me. Am trying to persuade DH to get a bike so he can take them both cycling over the Summer. It would be great to do something active with them. Hopefully DD3 will slot in nicely to that once she is able to sit in a child seat. Tomorrow, we might go look for cars, as we cannot fit three car seats across the back of ours. It needs sorting out.

Back still hurting, but no pattern to it, and perhaps it has more to do with lifting the hamster cage into the DD's rooms in the evening, according to whose turn it it to have her.

Hope you all manage to enjoy the weekend.

Will be checking in this time tomorrow to be induced at 41+5 I'm so nervous but I can't wait to not be pregnant anymore!! Spent the day washing everything I own and cleaning like a mad woman. Probably won't have my little man in my arms until monday night but it's so good to know something is finally gonna happen Grin Grin Grin good luck to everyone getting twinges or being taken in!! Cake Brew

PurplePunkPrincess · 24/05/2014 21:21

Good luck to all the ladies who are nearly there! Grin

I'm 37+3, our car is being swapped on Tuesday to a more suitable mondeo now that there will be 3! Despite everything not being ready for him yet, I have cleaned my entire kitchen and now just in the bath listening to red hot chilli peppers hoping these twinges turn into something. But I know I've probably got weeks left! Confused

HungryHorace · 24/05/2014 21:23

Hi! Can I join? I'm 29 weeks' pregnant and feel huge. I'm knackered and I ache and I've got a permanent cold / sinus thing / hayfever so feel crap too.

I will only have 13 months between DC, so am very tired of being pregnant now, it has to be said.

Home straight now though, as I'll be having an ELCS, probably at 39 weeks (get my date on 11th June), so less than 10 weeks left. Thank god!

Good luck to everyone in labour :-)

livingzuid · 24/05/2014 21:27

ada fantastic news! And killa do hope the baby decides to do something before induction. iwill that's disappointing but maybe a sign that things are beginning to get going?

nugget very good luck for tomorrow.

No news here but they are definitely contractions as opposed to BH. raspberry the wave thing is such a good analogy, it's like my whole stomach siezes up in a ripple upwards and then relaxes again. Such a bizarre feeling. They were regular then stopped for a bit. Now getting it every 20 mins or so. Getting up and wandering around is helping particularly as I am getting period type cramps as well. And when we walked the dog I lost more of the plug (sorry for tmi). Is it wrong to get excited about something which is kind of icky?! Dh indulges me fortunately :)

So will sleep and see what tomorrow brings. There's no doubt that there is something going on and my bump is practically down by my knees Grin but it's a matter of when. This little lady I think will take her time arriving.

redexpat · 24/05/2014 21:27

I'm 14 weeks, but got an infected ingrowing toenail, and none of the antibiotics are safe for pregnant women. My toe is throbbing. And hot.

Geminiwitch22 · 24/05/2014 21:32

Redexpat try paracetamol safe in pregnancy may help with pain and Iceland.

Ilikecakes · 24/05/2014 21:36

Serious TMI alert so apologies in advance, but despite this being pregnancy no 3 and DH having seen and heard just about everything before, this is just too minging for me to vent openly about in RL, so v happy to have found this thread.

39 weeks along and have managed to get haemorrhoids AND thrush simultaneously. What the actual fuck?!?!?! Not sure I've ever been this miserable and uncomfortable in my entire life. Midwife's confirmed I'm able to use all the relevant treatments, so hoping it'll all clear up in the next few days but holy feck I can't wait to have this baby out and try to get everything back to normal down there again!!

Sorry again Blush Sad

Geminiwitch22 · 24/05/2014 21:42

Ice pack sorry ^^'

livingzuid · 24/05/2014 21:59

redexpat can you not wrap it up in Milk of Magnesia? I am not sure if it is safe in pregnancy but I remember as a child having a nail infection bundled up like this and it was gone very quickly. Just slopped loads of the stuff on and wrapped up nail in a bandage. The pharmacy can advise :) and paracetamol is fine for the pain.

livingzuid · 24/05/2014 22:00

cakes :( hope it gets better soon that must be so uncomfortable!

evertonmint · 24/05/2014 23:14

Cakes - that's miserable Hmm I can't help with the thrush but my last 2 pregnancies gave me terrible haemorrhoids (largely avoided for some reason this time, although I do expect to get them after labour). You need to throw products at your bum hole, basically Grin Get the medicated wipes for after every poo, then pop in a pessary and put cream on any swollen bits hanging outside, and gently try to push them back in if you can to prevent chafing (now, have I hit the TMI alert yet? Grin) Do this every time you poo, or whenever it hurts. Try not to spend long on the loo. Hot baths can help - try sitting in a shallow but hot bath for 10-15 mins - and paracetamol also helps if they are really painful.

adaloveslace · 25/05/2014 04:34

Well something was brewing last night - baby girl Julia was born this morning at 37+3! She is a gorgeous 6lb 2oz munchkin and the labour (honestly) was great. Loving the newborn snuggles here Smile

Best of luck to everyone still waiting - I will check back for more news.

livingzuid · 25/05/2014 04:55

ada :) Congratulations! What nice news to wake up to and what a pretty name. And so nice to hear a positive labour story. Enjoy those snuggles.

Still waiting here but had DH ring the hospital at 4.30 am as it felt like I had a mahoosive bruise on the lower right side of my bump. Just pulled a muscle fortunately and it seems to have died down again. Big movements from the baby this morning too so I am hopeful she's wiggling her way downwards.

On the positive side and I won't tmi there are things happening down there which Dr Google says is a very positive sign so I am keeping fingers and toes crossed. Off to walk the dog again for the umpteenth time to help get things going. Poor thing is a bit confused to be out this early!

SicknSpan · 25/05/2014 09:08

Lovely news ada - congratulations Thanks. Would love to hear the birth story when you are up to it.

Fingers crossed for you too living, your poor dog with all these walks!

No symptoms at all here. 39+2. Longest I have ever been pregnant as ds1 and ds2 arrived at 38+6 and 39+1. Gah.

Ilikecakes · 25/05/2014 09:50

Thanks living and everton. Bit better this morn although I'd say that's just as the weight of baba's head wasn't pushing down on everything as much overnight. Will check out those medicated wipes everton, thanks a mil.

Congratulations ada, lovely news!

sick, I'm due on Friday too and expecting DC3 after two boys. All the old wives' tales are pointing to a third boy for us, do you know what you're having?

PurplePunkPrincess · 25/05/2014 10:47

Congratulations! Hope you are both doing well :) xxx

Darksideofthemoon88 · 25/05/2014 10:50

Wow Ada, congratulations! Flowers

SicknSpan · 25/05/2014 13:39

Ilikecakes no we don't know either! It's so exciting isn't it. This baby was very much unplanned but so so wanted once we knew I was pregnant, we don't mind whether it's a boy or a girl so there didn't seem to be much point finding out.

What are the old wives tales you've heard? Love trying to guess!

evertonmint · 25/05/2014 14:11

We found out with all of them. We have a DS and a DD already so it didn't seem necessary to know this time as we have enough pink and blue for either (even if mine mainly wear green and brown anyway!). But given we liked knowing before, we decided we might as well again so looks like this one is a boy. Think I'm relieved - I suspect 1 boy and 2 teenage girls would be more trying (certainly stroppier) than 1 girl and 2 teenage boys!

evertonmint · 25/05/2014 14:12

Congratulations Ada! Lovely name Smile

TheOriginalWinkly · 25/05/2014 14:13

Congratulations ada :)

livingzuid · 25/05/2014 14:17

We found out. Dh was like a kid searching for his Christmas present early, he was desperate to know! I wasn't so bothered but I am really glad we did. I was so hoping for a boy so to find out it was a girl was a huge shock and took me some time to reconcile to it (past issues). Now I'm delighted and can't wait. Shopping for girl stuff was fun as well :)

No news here. Just urgh. You are all right of course, when the contractions start in earnest I I will know. There is something going on but not as quickly as I was hoping!

HungryHorace · 25/05/2014 14:23

Congratulations, ada. Lovely name, and dinky baby! :-)
