I'm 35 weeks and driving myself crazy! I'm so uncomfortable and this heat isn't helping. I'm constantly expanding, my jeans are getting too tight but it seems silly to buy anymore now.

I just want him out, he must be just about big enough by now!

Anyone else feeling the same?

Oh no, that wasn't a baby announcement! Blush It was DC1 that I had the pineapple craving with (about one whole one a day by the way - I ate ludicrous amounts!)) Still sat here looking fat with DC3 and not expecting him for another 3-4 weeks given past form!!Grin

PurplePunkPrincess · 23/05/2014 16:22

I thought so tbh, seemed far too quick to be back on MN (or maybe I'm naive)

Are you planning on trying the pineapple thing again?

PurplePunkPrincess · 23/05/2014 16:26

With my first I didn't do anything and I suddenly went into a quick labour on my dd.

If DP goes and sells his car and buys a new one tomorrow, swings round to halfords for car seat on his way home, I am then free to go into labour or in reality start desperately trying to get the baby out!

RoseberryTopping · 23/05/2014 17:41

Ahh I got all excited for you then Everton!

I wonder how killashandraRee is getting on, those pains sound promising. My friend had her baby this morning and I am super jealous!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and we see some baby announcements soon :)

I got my red raspberry leaf tablets this morning. Here's to hoping...

I was thinking that maybe if I put myself into as many awkward situations/places as possible, labour might be inclined to start just to embarrass me in public.... I was thinking the gym, the library, out food shopping, out walking in the woods/park on my own.... Worth a try lol!

Iwillorderthefood · 23/05/2014 18:19

Ha ha oops yes seemed a bit quick but you never can tell

RoseberryTopping · 23/05/2014 18:23

Darkside good plan! Send DP out for a night out, tell him to get really drunk and make sure his phone is off the whole time. If that doesn't get you in to labour then I'm not sure what will!

Am still here! Currently contractions every ten mins but don't seem to be getting quicker so not sure if my second baby is pretending to be a stop start third baby!

Hopefully things will speed up soon...

Iwillorderthefood · 23/05/2014 23:12

Each one will be doing something. You will have your baby soon. Good luck hope you progress more quickly soon.

livingzuid · 24/05/2014 05:23

killas I'm excited for you! Keeping fingers crossed that today is the day your baby arrives.

I have been woken up to terrible back pain which I haven't had before and it's intermittent. So hoping hoping it's the start of something.... I felt very bizarre yesterday and not myself at all (cut colour and pedicure done in anticipation though!).

adaloveslace · 24/05/2014 07:22

Living and Killashandra, don't you dare leave us here like that! Only joking....this is all very exciting. Hope MiniLiving and Killajunior are here soon.

No more action here, except DS now has a tummy bug so I'm happy to wait for DC3 for a day or two more

Iwillorderthefood · 24/05/2014 08:08

Living I am planning my colour for the week after half term. Hope I make it as am having terrible back ache. Might get myself a box dye in case.

evertonmint · 24/05/2014 09:49

Living - both times before mine started with a persistent lower backache unlike any I'd had before in pregnancy. So this could be it! Good luck!

livingzuid · 24/05/2014 11:36

ada Grin and I hope mini ada arrives as soon as the bug clears up!

Iwill I was thinking of a packet colour but then I thought I would spoil myself and go to the hairdresser and if she arrived then she arrived hehe. I hope your backache shows signs of action

everton that is good to know. I think, she says tentatively, that I am having contractions every 15 - 20 minutes - I had Braxton Hicks and there is a real difference. At first I thought the baby was having a gainormous stretch and then as it carried on I thought hmmmmmm. It's like my whole stomach siezes up and gets very tense, something happens around the lady area and then all relaxes again. It's not unpleasant but it's not exactly comfortable. And the baby gives me a nudge like oi, what was that about! I'm not sure though so I am being a bit rubbish tracking the times on my app.

All that sounds so silly, it's just I have no idea what to expect from a contraction so anything which is not what I have experienced thus far is a candidate!

Hope killas has progressed :)

Iwillorderthefood · 24/05/2014 16:53

I think it's just wishful thinking. I have another thought, and I know that people say its rubbish, but my older DD was born the day before full moon, and my younger one on full moon. The closest full moon to my due date is 6th June, so I wonder if I will have the baby then.

living hope this is it for you.

killashandra hope all going well for you.

adaloveslace · 24/05/2014 17:24

Oooh Living think I might be on my way here too. Up for the last hour with contractions every 6-8 minutes. It's 2.23 here but I feel wife awake. Just deciding whether DH needs to be woken yet

adaloveslace · 24/05/2014 17:25

wide awake even

wispaxmas · 24/05/2014 17:25

Ooh, very exciting possibilities there a baby killashandra either on the way or here already!

38+3 here, and since I'm not overdue I don't feel like I have the right to moan yet, but every time I go walk to dog I get BH contractions and I know baby is engaged, so I just keep expecting... SOMETHING.

adaloveslace · 24/05/2014 17:25

moobaloo · 24/05/2014 17:48

40+5

STILL PREGNANT

Angry

That is all.

KillashandraRee · 24/05/2014 18:47

Still in hospital, contractions stopped but waters have broken so waiting for induction at 11pm if nothing starts again. Desperate to meet my baby now I'm on a ward with loads of newborns Sad

Wispa there is no criteria how far you must be for this thread, the only qualifying thing is being pregnant and fed up :)

Poor moo. Sending you lots of eviction vibes. How far will they let you go over?

Good luck Ada and Living. All I can say about recognising contractions is you will definitely know when it's a full blown contraction. There really is no mistaking it unfortunately. Can you feel like a build up of pain and then it hitting its peak and going back down? I found the description of it coming over like a wave very accurate.

Must say I'm very jealous of all these contractions, the most I've been getting is a few BHs. Mind I'm only 36 weeks so no rush yet but I'd be happy to go early. I can feel a lot more pressure on my pelvis recently and stabby pains around there so hoping that means he's engaging.

Can anyone recommend a good contraction timer app? Just thinking ahead here :)

RoseberryTopping · 24/05/2014 19:00

Oh no Killa! Can you get out for a walk or something, or start twiddling nipples? You might want to be somewhere private for that though Grin I've heard it's really good for getting contractions on the go again.
Fwiw an induction isn't as bad as you might think it is, and it probably won't take long with you already having contractions etc. good luck x

Raspberry just read that first line and its made me laugh so not as Fed up now. Only 35 weeks but a decision on Wednesday if induced at 38 weeks or going till due date. On off backache plus random cramps the last few days but trying to keep busy (to the extent helping dh at his job doing some desserts to keep away boredom)
