I'm 35 weeks and driving myself crazy! I'm so uncomfortable and this heat isn't helping. I'm constantly expanding, my jeans are getting too tight but it seems silly to buy anymore now.

I just want him out, he must be just about big enough by now!

Anyone else feeling the same?

Thank you. Managed to sleep with thr diamorphine. Absolutely love that stuff!

They dont understand why this is happening but theres only a tiny change to cervix which they arent too bothered about as its still relatively closed. The change ia the plug thats come away. I put 1 pair of new pjs in hosp bag and 1 old plus 2 nighties. So im trying to keep changing to a minimum. Have got some pain now but its bearable.

Plan is
1- if I go in to full labour they wont stop it
2 if I dont and can manage with just tablets then I cam go home tonight and come back next week to see consultant on Wednesday.

3 if im still getting pains that need diamorphine then they will induce next week.

Ive got pain and its around 5/6 out of 10. I can manage with that. But tightenings are starting after ive been for a walk for some breakfast. No one gave me no food for tea yesterday and hardly ate dinner (I cant eat during labour pains) and thats what this is stop start latent labour.

Thank you all for your support your all fab Flowers

Iwillorderthefood · 10/07/2014 19:07

Ilove thinking of you, hope he stays there for a while longer yet.

Ljialnye · 10/07/2014 19:39

I'm only ten weeks and am already fed up of being pregnant! I have a 19month old to chase around (she was rushed to hospital today with allergic reaction :(!!! Poor Baba) so yeah.. I'm EXHAUSTED! I want my little darling out already for cuddles so I can remember why the constant fatigue is worth it xx

RoseberryTopping · 11/07/2014 13:40

How are you monsters? Been thinking of you and baby.

Aww ljialnye, that first bit can be so tiring can't it, not long till you hit the 2nd tri and hopefully get some more energy before it's all sapped again by 3rd tri Wink

Huffpot · 11/07/2014 14:31

What a nightmare Ilovemonsters!

I got a bit of a fright last night as had a tummy ache most of the afternoon and through the night...so much so we wondered if baby was getting ready to make an appearance and had an early night which was so lovely to sleep. Woke up with a tickly throat and feeling rotten with a cold and now so shivery. On a positive DP took the kids to nursery AND collected them and I got to have extra sleep this morning.

Tummy ache has settled again now so who knows! 40+5 today

RoseberryTopping · 11/07/2014 20:54

Oh god, you poor thing :( hope it all does down soon for you. Are you managing to get much sleep?

Not long now Huff! How far will they let you go? Know what you mean about how lovely an early night is, I've been getting my head down at 7.30 some nights!

6 days over now and someone is turning up the heat again!

I'm booked for a sweep Tuesday afternoon so presuming they'll book an induction then but no idea when.
that sill be a busy day with my parents landing that morning too!
I'd love it to happen naturally but its not looking promisingHmm

Iwillorderthefood · 13/07/2014 11:13

Huff hope you get the birth you want.

Huffpot · 13/07/2014 11:46

Thanks Iwill!
Baby seems quite happy in there still and no twinges or anything.
I think I'll be getting some fresh pineapple tomorrow to have in readiness

teacupnic · 13/07/2014 11:57

I think I'm well due a grumble here - 39 weeks at the moment so technically not due yet. However, baby has been breech all along so was scheduled on Friday to get baby out via C-Section. Not the birth I had planned but, got myself together and accepted it.

Looked forward to meeting baby on Friday. They do a very quick scan to check the positioning of baby (already met the anaesthatist and in my theatre gown) and guess what, they've turned. Baby is now head down as they should be!

So, now I wait it out for labour to start like everyone else. As much as I'm pleased I can now likely have the vaginal birth I planned, it was so disappointing not to come home with a baby after my hospital visit.

ElizaB3 · 13/07/2014 12:13

Hi everyone, I posted in here a few weeks back when I was playing the waiting game. Went 12 days overdue in the end. Had a baby boy (they do come out eventually!), we had a very tough start but he's now doing great. I spent a week in hospital next to many women being induced / in early labour; I feel for you all that are waiting but hang in there, it's worth it in the end!

Huffpot · 13/07/2014 17:07

Definitely due a grumble teacupnic. That must be really disappointing for you to expect to come home with your baby but nothing

Glad baby arrived safely ElizaB - 41 weeks over today and pleased to know that although it feels like forever baby WILL be here soon!

Hope everything is going well Ilovemonsters

Iwillorderthefood · 13/07/2014 21:24

Oh no teacup, what a nightmare. You must have been all psyched up to have the c section and then all change again.

Congratulations ElizaB I am sorry that you have had such a hard start, but glad that things are getting back on track now.

I am still here inappropriately posting about my feeding traumas. A friend of the family came to visit today, and she checked out my latch and pointed out something I could be doing, and lo and behold, things are much less painful now and feel much less awkward, better late than never hey? I am now aiming to get to five weeks bf, I cannot believe that I have not thrown in the towel, but here I still am.

Good luck again huff and teacup hope it all starts off soon. The waiting is the hardest part, just not knowing how things are going to go,

Huffpot · 14/07/2014 08:09

Good news for me. Baby girl born today at 2.30am, all natural with only gas and air after a 3 hour labour (in a hurry! ) and weighing 4.7kgs or ten pound 3 ounces!

We are the talk of the ward wit a natural delivery
We caught my parents with the news at Sydney airport before they boarded their flight
Finally getting some food after 6 hours! not even toast anymore then I'm going to join baby and sleep! !
Good luck everyone still waiting!

ilovemonstersInc · 14/07/2014 08:14

Well done huff!! Flowers

congratulations!!

seasaltbaby · 14/07/2014 09:03

Hey good news huff!! Glad you got there quickly & relatively easily in the end Smile

Teacup, I'm not surprised you're v fed up-bit of a blow for you! Yes baby will come but now you've got the waiting game, hope you're feeling ok.

Hey Iwill, can't believe you're still going-amazing!! Sometimes just the smallest thing can make the difference.

Baby boy one month old already & we we're up every hour last night (think he had wind!) v tired mummy today. I'm currently sat in dark room hoping he'll take a nap without a cuddle so I can shower. Oh the joys of newborn days!!

Iwillorderthefood · 14/07/2014 10:31

Congratulations Huff! What a great birth!

AlwaysDancing1234 · 14/07/2014 16:06

Huffpot · 16/07/2014 20:26
