I'm 35 weeks and driving myself crazy! I'm so uncomfortable and this heat isn't helping. I'm constantly expanding, my jeans are getting too tight but it seems silly to buy anymore now.

I just want him out, he must be just about big enough by now!

Anyone else feeling the same?

I'm 35 weeks and so over it now. I've had a smugly easy time of it up until recently and the past few days I've hardly slept, managed to get heat rash under my boobs, the baby's foot stuck in my ribs and the near constant weeing is now getting to the point where I'm seriously considering adult diapers just so I don't spend most of my day waddling to the loo. Oh, and was just diagnosed with high blood sugar so have had to start eating carefully when all I really want is burgers and fries!

Hoping Gemini is in a lot of pain (in the nicest possible way) Grin

In fact I wish all you ladies a painful weekend Grin

The fear of pain is disappearing now with the need to just get on with it. My lovely friend and doula called last night and cheered me up...she is about the only person who I don't get annoyed asking if anything is happening.

Had a good sleep though last night so feel good from that.

Geminiwitch22 · 14/06/2014 09:18

well heres an update:
now 23 years old, ended up on mointoring last night, saying i wasnt having contractions. lovely student midwife (sounds like miranda hart) says im only 1cm dilated though obstectric says 2. so looks like no baby for bday
=(

Iwillorderthefood · 14/06/2014 10:00

I think I am in for a long one. It looks possible that my waters are leaking, have not called the hospital yet, but will do very shortly. Have no contractions so if this keeps up I guess induction is giving to be the way forward.

I feel very teary, my youngest has her swimming assessment in her lesson this morning, and I wanted to be there.

Will update when I can but never have got the hang of the mobile app, so may be a while.

If it goes like I think it will go, I shall be seen and sent home to wait.

Iwillorderthefood · 14/06/2014 10:02

Hi Gemini, do not worry, I did this with my first. I went in and I think they said I was not even dilated.

I am sure they told you to take paracetamol. If you are anything like me, I wondered how they will actually touch the pain I was getting.

Hope it all goes ok.

Geminiwitch22 · 14/06/2014 10:24

thanks
Iwill hope things move okay for you

evertonmint · 14/06/2014 12:01

Hope things get moving soon Iwill and gemini.

Kids at gps for sleepover last night so DH and I had a brisk walk followed by pizza with chilli oil (got DC1 moving) followed by bouncing on ball last night then nipple twiddling, sex and another brisk walk this morning followed by humping and dumping bric a brac at the school fair preparations. Absolutely no effect whatsoever!

Still I'm 'only' 40+2 which is earlier than DS (40+4) and DD (40+13) so this would still be early for me.

ch1a · 14/06/2014 13:06

Gemini that sounds so unpleasant for you. I hope things start to speed things up.

Same to you iwillorder, I hope things start to speed up soon.

I'm just concentrating on cooking today to take my mind off things so have some beef stock on the boil to make Vietnamese pho soup, and a shoulder of lamb in the oven slow cooking. Might make a bologniase for the freezer to pass the time.

Been bouncing on gym ball and trying to nipple twiddle too but cannot even consider having sex.

ch1a · 14/06/2014 13:07

Thankful for the reduction in heat though. That's such a relief.

Iwillorderthefood · 14/06/2014 15:57

Ok so I am back. Forgot to take the soaking pad with me, so they had to examine me to confirm. It is definitely my waters, and since it is uncertain how long it has been happening, they want me there this evening to begin induction. I have backache and a slightly sore bottom, but that's it.

So we came back and have been for a pub lunch.

They are going to start me on a drip, so I am going to ask for an epidural as soon as I can, I will mention it before they start since I know that the drip makes contractions intense.

Good luck to everyone else. I will be back on here when I can.

TheOriginalWinkly · 14/06/2014 16:04

Very best of luck IWill, hope its quick and the epidural makes it blissfully painless.

everton I'm impressed by the sex! My DH looked at me with undisguised horror when I suggested it. I could really go for a shag and a cold beer now, sigh.

Iwillorderthefood · 14/06/2014 16:49

Going in for 7 pm, trying to rest but just want to give as much love as possible to my girls beforehand.

Everton, hope you are enjoying your weekend, and that you manage to start things off.

Original yes that is my hope and if it cannot be quick as pain free as poss please!

seasaltbaby · 14/06/2014 16:53

Just popping back on to say that baby sea salt was born yesterday at 6.50pm!! Really good delivery, in the pool & no complications (v different to last time!) Now we're home already, he's feeding & sleeping well so farSmileSmile
Will try to catch up with everyone soon, but keep the faith ladies-you won't be pregnant forever!!

evertonmint · 14/06/2014 17:00

Wonderful news seasalt!

Good luck this evening Iwill. You'll have your baby soon :)

Back from the school fair with a backache - it could be it (this was the trigger with the other 2) but equally it could just be because I've been on my feet all afternoon! Going for a lie down to see if it goes or not.

Re sex, DH has always been quite happy to go with it if I'm in the mood when pregnant - he quite likes my extra large curves, or so I like to think :) Really I think he just realises he should have it while he can because we'll both be too knackered for a good while afterwards Grin

Geminiwitch22 · 14/06/2014 17:17

aww congrats seasalt!!!!!
Iwill rooting for you all the way!

spent birthday in tears on and off, OH got fired after they claim he is unrealiable and did not communicate to them, even though he texted them regularly about how i was (this is how they communicated with him) and after saying he could have the time off. good news may have another job closer to home lined up. feeling tired and shit, though on other side cooked 30 batch meals, cheese straws and brownies (brownies for mad man who drove me to the hospital last night)
Sad

ch1a · 14/06/2014 18:58

Gemini that is outrageous of his employers.I'm glad you sound so relaxed about it and there are opportunities in the pipeline but I'm angry on your behalf nonetheless. I hope you are okay.

Iwillorder that is promising. I hope everything goes quickly and smoothly for you this evening. The end is officially in sight!

Seasalt congratulations that is amazing news. Wonderful!

ch1a · 14/06/2014 18:59

Might make cheese straws - what a great idea!

ch1a · 14/06/2014 19:02

Everton I hope backache means something. I wish I was at all in the mood for sex but I might have to force myself as I'd hate to think that I missed an opportunity for natural induction!

evertonmint · 14/06/2014 23:39

Backache gone after a lie down. Nothing going on here now! Good night, and sending good birthing vibes to Iwill and gemini.

TheOriginalWinkly · 15/06/2014 10:27

Congratulations seasalt!

Everton I also had hope-inducing backache that disappeared overnight.

I am absolutely utterly insatiably ravenous this morning. ..

ElizaB3 · 15/06/2014 12:12

Eating is my main occupation at the moment, helps punctuate the day! Congratulations Seasalt, sounds like a lovely birth.
Having a baby feels very distant from this side; the further I get from the original due date the least likely I think it is to happen!

doublechocchip · 15/06/2014 12:55

Congrats sea salt!

No signs of labour anywhere here! House is starting to take shape which is a relief currently paddling in a nice cold bath to ease my poor tree trunk legs. Been bouncing away and rolling round on my birthing ball to try and shift baby so Thankyou for the links. Also got on my hands and knees and scrubbed out the guinea pig cafe yesterday.
Does anyone else think all these bringing on labour tips were invented by men- sex? Nipple stimulation Curry? Scrubbing on all fours?? Sounds suspicious to me ha!

Feel a killjoy over the weather but hoping it rains soon just so I can more done. Hope everyone else is ok. gemini horrible timing for everything? Hope everything gets sorted for you,

doublechocchip · 15/06/2014 12:56

Guinea pig cage that should read ha but maybe a guinea pig cafe could be a new business venture!

Geminiwitch22 · 15/06/2014 13:03

thanks for the sympathy everyone, he just told me they were betting on how long hed last Angry, I'm just chilling out today try nd sleep, read and maybe a trueblood marthon later. I've given up trying to induce myself so I'm waiting till wednesday now

Iwillorderthefood · 15/06/2014 16:42

Congratulations Seasalt!

Baby Iwill was born at 12.50 today! Not a single contraction was produced on my own! Spent Saturday night in hospital, was very busy so induction not done overnight. They went straight for the drip as I was 2-3 cm dilated. So as was going for drip I asked for an epidural so drip started at 10.15, and all over as I said by 12.50! Could not believe it felt her coming down lower and lower and I said to the mw to check and she said " right I will get my birth pack then!" If all inductions were like that it would be amazing.

I shall check back later. Will not be going home today as waters were broken for over 24 hours post birth!

Good luck to you all x
