I'm 35 weeks and driving myself crazy! I'm so uncomfortable and this heat isn't helping. I'm constantly expanding, my jeans are getting too tight but it seems silly to buy anymore now.

I just want him out, he must be just about big enough by now!

Anyone else feeling the same?

Congrats Iwill so jealous now Envy! Come on little baby Gem please mummy is going mad with your random 4 hours of moving

evertonmint · 15/06/2014 19:09

Shattered after trying hard to do Father's Day reasonably well, and still very pregnant...

Congrats Iwill. Not jealous at all. No definitely not jealous that you have your baby and I still have a bump Grin

seasaltbaby · 15/06/2014 19:39

Congrats Iwill! Sounds like it all went v well being induced!
I do hope you girls have your babies soon-48 hours post birth is so much easier than being heavily pregnant! I shall keep watching with interest...

Baby is doing v well, feeding good & even loves sleeping in his Moses basket-hope keeps that one up!

Good luck everyone Smile

Congratulations iwillorder. Wonderful news!

ch1a · 15/06/2014 20:04

Just cross posted with your update. What a gorgeous baby! I want one!

AlwaysDancing1234 · 15/06/2014 20:11

Oh what a gorgeous photo! I'm hoping subliminal messages are getting thru to my baby to make her decide to pop out very soon!!

RoseberryTopping · 15/06/2014 20:54

Oh lots of updates, can't keep up!
Congratulations seasalt and IWill!! Loving having a gorgeous baby picture to coo over as well :) bet your other halves are loving their Father's Day present!

We've had a busy weekend here, DSs birthday party on Saturday which he loved - but then ended up chucking up when he got home! He was up every hour throwing up last night, DP was ill as well so I had to do all the getting up with DS. I'm knackered now but suppose it was good practise for having a baby again. Poor wee mite, I felt terrible for him having a poorly birthday, and DP didn't manage to get spoilt much either. Oh well, you can't help these things.

Wow, what a peachy baby! She's lovely :)

Mine have both been born red, blotchy, squashed and angry, and then just as that all subsided they both got horrendous baby acne. I think my babies just like being cosy in my uterus and really hate the world once they're forced out! No peachy mini-Everton photos are forthcoming until at least 2 months old :)

AlwaysDancing1234 · 15/06/2014 23:41

Hmmm is this the start and end of something?...,

Tonight I've been having tightenings since about 7pm, starting off 10-15 mins apart but now they are more like 8 mins apart.

Also the tightenings are more uncomfortable than before. I wouldn't say they are painful exactly, just unpleasant and uncomfortable.

I made the mistake of telling DP and bless him he's got all excited. He has gone off to bed now though so I'm going to have to be very very sure before I think about waking him up!

I know I should probably try and get some rest but it's difficult as I'm clock watching and trying to time these contractions/braxton hicks or whatever the heck they are.

I've also had an upset tummy today and been to the loo about half a dozen times (sorry to much info) so I wonder if it's been my body's way of gearing up for things to happen.
Baby has been very active this evening, wiggling about loads, I wonder if she has been getting ready to come and meet us at last.

Iwillorderthefood · 16/06/2014 01:55

Let's hope so Always. Something I forgot about bf it always makes me want to wee

seasaltbaby · 16/06/2014 02:36

Could be always-that sounds like me 24 hours before baby arrived! Had all those signs, which then went away , felt all disappointed, then it all kicked off again the next day!

Iwill-I forgot how much bf hurts to start-ow ow ow my nipples!! How do I look at your photo-not coming up on my phone?

Iwillorderthefood · 16/06/2014 03:48

Seasalt am not sure. Baby bf loads but want to lie down to feed and mw basically told me to try another position as she has other people to help. Just brilliant.

AlwaysDancing1234 · 16/06/2014 04:06

Thanks ladies. Well here I am at 4am and it all seems to have stopped. I am now thoroughly fed up Sad

evertonmint · 16/06/2014 06:54

Ladies, I'm a bf peer supporter. Limit to what I can do virtually but I'm happy to try.

Seasalt - it shouldn't be painful - that often means latch needs a bit of tweaking. It may feel really strong but hurting isn't good. If it's definitely pain get someone to look at your latch - get a mw to sit with you and observe (or infant feeding team even better if your hosp has one) keep taking baby off and repositioning if it hurts. And relax yourself - get somebody to press down on your shoulders as you start feed if necessary - pain, or worry of pain, can make you hunch when you actually need a nice, open chest so try to relax yourself first. Do you want some pictures of a good latch to help see what's going on? Sure I have some links somewhere.

Iwill - are you trying to learn to feed lying down, or are you trying to find another position to feed in?

evertonmint · 16/06/2014 06:55

Oh always - that's rubbish. But a good sign that things are getting moving. I slept solidly, which is nice but means nothing is happening! Mw appt today (am now 40+4) and she's promised to try a sweep. Fingers crossed!

seasaltbaby · 16/06/2014 07:48

Ah thanks Everton-I'll get mw to take a look when they come today. I think it is more strong than painful as such but will think more about it more. My memory from feeding last time was that it hurt to start but then settled down quickly after milk in. If u have links then that'd be brilliant.

Oh sorry always-but don't lose faith- your baby really will be here soon & no longer pregnant. Sending positive labour vibesSmile

Iwillorderthefood · 16/06/2014 07:52

Everton, I was trying to latch lying down was not good. However I am feeding ok so was low priority. In the end I latched sitting up and then laid down. Got some sleep then thank goodness. Doing something right as she has done 3 huge poos!

Pleased to know you are a bf expert. I'm a bit rusty

Iwillorderthefood · 16/06/2014 07:59

Everton might not mean a thing I slept beautifully the night before with number 2. Number 3 being a bit difficult to draw experience from given lack of any contractions!

It is rotten being overdue

Always all of that will not have done noting.

Get some rest everyone

Iwillorderthefood · 16/06/2014 08:01

*nothing

Gemini you are quiet. Where are you?

AlwaysDancing1234 · 16/06/2014 08:10

Thanks everyone. It's just as well nothing progressed last night really as DS woke early this morning and was sick so I'm glad we were here to look after him and sort him out (rather than grandparents who would have flapped). He's felling much better now though has to stay off school with me today. So looks like it's a lazy day in for me and DS which is no bad thing I suppose. I hardly slept last night so hoping to catch up on some sleep today.
I will hope things settle down with the breast feeding. I remember it being a bit tricky at first with DS, took a couple days to get ourselves organised with how best to get latched on etc. If midwife doesn't have time I hope you get some support from elsewhere.

dramajustfollowsme · 16/06/2014 08:22

I'm another who is finding it painful to fb but just on the right. The left it is just a strong suck. The right is beginning to bring a tear to the eye. I'm considering a nipple shield. Anyone used one before?
Hope today is the day for those of you waiting. My friend was due on Tuesday - the day dd arrived a month early. I feel rather guilty.
I've put a photo of my two girls onto my profile. Love them both so much!

RoseberryTopping · 16/06/2014 08:40

Lovely pictures drama :) how are you all settling as a family?
I used a nipple shield last time and found it really helpful. It's only a short term thing until the nipple toughens up but it really made those sensitive days more manageable.
