I'm 35 weeks and driving myself crazy! I'm so uncomfortable and this heat isn't helping. I'm constantly expanding, my jeans are getting too tight but it seems silly to buy anymore now.

I just want him out, he must be just about big enough by now!

Anyone else feeling the same?

Congratulations Living! What have you named her? Enjoy the cuddles :)

I'm pretty fed up today. Had a lovely burst of energy earlier in the week but I'm back to being knackered now. Horrible heart burn and horrible stabby pains in my pelvis all the time :( officially 37 weeks now though so once DP is home we're going to sex at every opportunity! Realllllly want him out sooner rather than later so I've got time to relax when DS is at school, rather than have him nearer the 6 week holidays.

Anyone else drinking raspberry leaf tea? Got myself a load of the loose leaf stuff today, tastes rank compared to the tea bags!

Congratulations, living! Smile
Nothing happening here after a flurry of activity over the last few days.
Just heavy and huge. I would prefer she stayed at least until 36wks but I did get a bit excited earlier on when I thought we were going to meet her imminently.
Now I'm impatient! Confused

Ilikecakes · 30/05/2014 16:21

Ahhhh, congratulations living and mr living!! Enjoy the snuggles x

TheOriginalWinkly · 30/05/2014 16:25

I'm fed up too roseberry. I was doing pretty well but crashed my car into the back of another today :( My fault, fortunately very slowly (just pulling off) and nobody hurt but I was pretty shaken. I knew DH would be arsey about it and he was. He's not normally an arse but he's precious about the car. So now I'm all sad and full of heartburn.

PurplePunkPrincess · 30/05/2014 16:34

Oh dear, Theoriginal, I completely sympathise with you on the car, horrible enough at the best of times! Hope your dp chills out about it soon! Xx

RoseberryTopping · 30/05/2014 16:39

Aww gutted :( did it do a lot of damage or just some scrapes? Glad you're ok though, that's the main thing.

Another one sick and fed up, Roseberry - you're certainly not alone! I'm taking raspberry leaf capsules rather than drinking the tea - not really a tea person. They don't seem to be doing a hell of a lot though. Sex tends to give me a tight feeling upper abdomen afterwards, but it's never progressed to anything Sad

Sorry to hear about your crash, Theoriginal Sad I can well imagine it left you pretty shaken up. My DP crashed MY car the other week and damn well nearly wrote it off. I was nowhere near at the time, but it was more than I could cope with at 37 weeks pregnant and I cried for hours and wanted to kill him. Your DP doesn't have the pregnancy excuse though, so I hope he calms down soon. As long as you (and baby) are ok, the car will mend.

RoseberryTopping · 30/05/2014 16:55

I need to try and get past this impatience, I just feel so desperate to meet him and get on with things. I could have another 4 and a half weeks of waiting to go if I go over, can't cope with thinking 'is today the day?!' every day.

Thanks everyone, the car isn't too bad, a few scrapes and the front number plate cracked. Couldn't have been doing more than 10mph absolute max, so it could have been much worse. DH is fine now and has said sorry for being an arse, and the Peter Andre thread has raised a smile.

Roseberry I know what you mean, I'm trying to remember I could have almost 6 more weeks left so not getting myself too impatient, but it's hard!

livingzuid · 30/05/2014 17:17

She's Daisy Cecilia :) cuddles are awesome. I'm already a bit jealous that she immediately stops crying when she goes to dh! I was waiting to be stitched and then was exhausted from the birth and had no functioning arms so he had her all morning pretty much. Not that I mind, there is something do special about daddies with their babies :)

Darksideofthemoon88 · 30/05/2014 17:55

Agreed, dads with babies are really cute Smile. Can't wait to see my 6ft3 DP with our tiny baby on his chest!

evertonmint · 30/05/2014 19:32

Beautiful name! Dads and daughters in particular have a special thing I think. Smile

seasaltbaby · 30/05/2014 19:40

Yes beautiful name livingSmile hope all going well so far.

Baby news helps keep me going, I won't be pregnant forever!!! My impatience is building now, I've done all the stuff on my to do list pre baby, cleaned house, read 2 books & aside from looking after dd1, I'm kinda twiddling my thumbs & getting bored & fed up of waiting, I'd forgotten how frustrating this bit is from last time! Having said that I'm not really trying any of the things that are supposed to trigger labour as I'm not sure I really believe in them, any ideas of things that might actually work??

NeedaDiscoNap · 30/05/2014 21:24

Congratulations living! Beautiful name Smile

Even though I was supposed to be induced this morning, this baby clearly couldn't wait as my waters went this morning. Have been admitted so just waiting to go up to the labour ward now. Fingers crossed it won't be too long now...

NeedaDiscoNap · 30/05/2014 21:25

Induced on Monday even! Baby brain Grin

livingzuid · 30/05/2014 21:31

Thank you ladies and good luck needa that is exciting indeed!

livingzuid · 30/05/2014 21:32

seasalt I walked as much as I could cope with. Granted there was a problem with the meconium but still my waters broke early and I was expecting her to be a bit late!

PurplePunkPrincess · 30/05/2014 22:35

Living how far pregnant were you?

livingzuid · 31/05/2014 02:41

I was 39+2 when my waters broke. I was terrified! Hadn't been expecting that for some reason!

SicknSpan · 31/05/2014 08:34

Congratulations livingzuid! Has the sickness gone away entirely now? I remember the relief of giving birth was amazing because the second either ds was born, I DIDN'T FEEL SICK ANYMORE!! It was amazingly refreshing and I felt like a new woman :) Looking forward to it this time too (sooner rather than later please dc3 if you are listening)

Beautiful name by the way. Cecilia is is one of my all time faves. Enjoy your squishy newborn x

evertonmint · 31/05/2014 09:51

Seasalt - I tried everything with DD but she still had to be induced and was born 13 days over. So I don't think much works! But you can do lots to keep the baby in a good position - ball bouncing, on all 4s etc. - and once early labour starts then being mobile and upright really, really helps.

Needa - hope all has gone well overnight!

Braxton Hicks are getting more frequent here and they now feel like tummy ache rather than just a bit tight. Had about 15 mins of them an hour ago but nothing since, so I'm fairly certain it's not the real thing yet, but I'm trying to believe that BH get everything primed so that the real thing is swifter and easier Smile

Cough easing slightly but still rocking the Tenas! DH unimpressed with the TMI I'm sharing with him about this, and has been googling vasectomies so he never has to suffer the indignity of hearing about my late pregnancy indignities again Grin

PurplePunkPrincess · 31/05/2014 17:03

I'm pretty sure my waters broke nearly an hour ago! Dp is taking the boys to his mums while I listen to some music. I'm still very calm and having tightenings but they aren't particularly painful. I feel like I'm holding on a bit though!

seasaltbaby · 31/05/2014 17:35

Ooh good luck purple! Hopefully another baby todaySmile

Yes I agree that staying active is probably the only real thing that might help, except all I want to do is rest! Been out all day at a farm park for dd1 nursery family day, brilliant but exhausting, so you never know!

PurplePunkPrincess · 31/05/2014 18:38

I'm not sure what to do. I rung up and she said to call back in an hour. It's been over an hour and there's not much to say, other than I soaked another 2 maternity pads, waters are clear. Seem to have stopped leaking. Baby is wriggling a lot. I thought the BH were every 6 minutes but now I can't remember when my last one was 5 minutes? 10? Confused

RoseberryTopping · 31/05/2014 18:44

Ooh good luck! I'm so jealous! Best thing to do is just chill out and let your body do the work now :) hope things progress soon though.

YY to symptoms instantly vanishing after giving birth. I was starving all the time with my first, I'd just eat all day every day. When he was born my sister brought me tons of snacks of my favourite things for the hospital stay but I didn't want any of it. Was so weird as I'd have devoured it all within minutes 24 hours earlier.

Still feeling fed up here. It's too hot and I'm tired :(
