For pregnant berries at any stage. Scary thought but this is the one where some babies will appear!

Yeah I know really, merk, I'm happy to wait and see what happens. I'd rather expect the long haul than get get up about bumache if it might go on for another couple of weeks which I know is entirely possible! Baby has weirdly moved though which is just odd- and probably the reason for all these strange feelings.

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/03/2014 21:48

Have you a tens? If so, my midwife and NCT banged on about getting on early. You can always take it off again and put it back on another time if this turns into nothing but if it is going to keep going having it on now should really help

Placenta stirfry nom nom

Thanks foody it seems quite common for boobs not to grow until milk production after birth. I am gonna look proper daft though with a huge bump and an a chest!

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/03/2014 22:01

Bunny enjoy it while you can, I went from a B to E and have the stretch marks to prove it

Shock
jessplussomeonenew · 17/03/2014 22:47

Bunny, I was convinced that my breasts hadn't really changed at all until I went to get measured (think it was about 14 weeks) and found I'd gone up 2 cup sizes... still not sure if I had been growing so gradually that I hadn't noticed or had a sudden expansion just before getting measured. Either way, your time may yet come!

CatsCantFlyFast · 18/03/2014 03:44

Hope you're ok Thunder

CatsCantFlyFast · 18/03/2014 05:02

just thought I would mention that there's been nothing from Thunder since 9.30...

Thunderpantsarego · 18/03/2014 06:18

I'm here I'm here. Nothing doing!

Managed to get comfy in bed and any cramps are just periody ones altho they seem to have eased at the moment.

Boomgoestheweasel · 18/03/2014 08:40

Found a signal! thunder and merk haven't you had these here babies yet?

Mm placenta. We had a lady a few months ago who made a raw placenta and berry smoothie...and then tried to get us to keep it in the patient fridge for her! Er, no, can you imagine the lawsuit if another patient accidentally drank your placenta..!?!

bunny my boobs were stealth growers, was convinced they weren't changing for ages and then suddenly I'm a j cup!

sid hope you're feeling a bit better, ms sucks. Was lucky enough to avoid it but totally sympathise x

Raining here, so making Mr Boom do all the dogwalking and lounging around on the sofa with a cuppa and a book. Going to take the twins swimming in a mo. Went in the pool yesterday and there was a couple with the most gorgeous boy-girl twin toddlers, think they must have thought I was a crazy person because I couldn't take my eyes off them!

Sending 'hurry up' vibes to the relevant uteri...yes merk and thunder I'm looking at you!

Thunderpantsarego · 18/03/2014 09:06

Hey boom! Sounds like you're having a lovely peaceful time of it. Well jealous of your swim too- put pool here is grim.

Should I be worrying that my baby has moved- not entirely sure how it's lying but after a couple of months of kicks out the right they're now left and more central. Or perhaps this is just what it needs to do to start moving down?

Ps having seen your bump I imagine the twins parents understood completely!

SidneyBristow · 18/03/2014 10:52

Quick question, I'm 9+3 today and haven't had a letter from the hospital yet for a booking-in appointment. I'm 10 weeks on Saturday, and the antenatal pathway page on their website says booking-in is due in weeks 8-10.

Is this normal? I checked in with my GP at 7+6 so the referral should've been sent over by 8+2 or +3 at the latest.

Aside from the slate of things I need to do but never get to, I'm trying to plan a trip to see family in a couple of months and am trying to slot it in for a time when the hospital doesn't need me, which looks like weeks 17-20. Does this sound right? or is the pathway a rough guide only?

CatsCantFlyFast · 18/03/2014 11:19

Sid ring the midwives directly. I was booked around 10 weeks.
The important part post then is the week 16 scan (if I remember correctly) as that's the anomaly scan, but the dates they give you are generally a little negotiable. Weeks 17 to 19 should be fine

OP posts:
Boomgoestheweasel · 18/03/2014 11:22

I think merk means 20wk scan but has got a case of baby brain...

SidneyBristow · 18/03/2014 12:07

OK have just called. They aren't doing booking ins until 10-13 weeks currently, and are doing scans between 11.5-13 weeks. It sounds like they're crunching everything between the 10 and 16 weeks appointments, bc she did say that I should be clear to travel anytime during the 2nd-4th weeks in May, which is what I had in mind since it's between the 16 week & 20 week checkups.

SidneyBristow · 18/03/2014 12:10

and I think somehow you're both right, bc she did say I'd be 17 weeks around 10th May which would mean a checkup and scan sometime around 3rd May. Their website says 16 week appt is just a checkup and 20 week is the anomaly scan, but it sounds like they're adjusting things a little bit.

Thunderpantsarego · 18/03/2014 12:39

Yeah I had 16 (ish) week appointment and then anomaly scan between 18-23 weeks or something? 16 week appt was literally a few mins in and out.

CatsCantFlyFast · 18/03/2014 17:14

My 20 week scan seems SO long ago!
Kitty hope its gone brilliantly today
