For pregnant berries at any stage. Scary thought but this is the one where some babies will appear!

Hello all!

jessplussomeonenew · 15/04/2014 19:47

Merk, funnily I read Ina May but found most of that didn't stick, whereas the birth skills book I found really engaging and actually quite inspiring. It's so hard to know what will make sense during labour until you actually get there, so I am trying for a range of options! Also trying to get out of denial.... Wink

jessplussomeonenew · 15/04/2014 19:48

Big wave to Boom and Tally, hope you and your daughters are all doing well!

Brodicea · 15/04/2014 19:56

Hey all - impressed with all the DIY getting done, I am doing pretty much F-all.

Having said that, I've been accompanying my mum on trips around Leeds looking for places to live (for her, she wants to move up to be close to us) - I do deserve a medal as my navigation skills seem to have gone totally to pot and my mum, as a teacher, is really good at making you feel a bit stupid! I was almost in tears after making us 20 minutes late for an appointment yesterday.

Today, I am totally knackered - but she has put in an offer on a place so I'm hoping that's the last of it.

37 +2 today - officially term! Oooer.

jessplussomeonenew · 15/04/2014 20:22

Either I have really weird on-off indigestion just below the navel, or....

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/04/2014 22:09

Brod you're so close!
Jess, yippee for movements. They do feel odd at first Grin

Foodylicious · 15/04/2014 22:17

Yay, that sounds like it jess
brod hope you and your mum enjoy her move to Leeds. My folks are up from surrey this weekend, last saw them at Christmas, making me think how it would be nicer to have them a bit closer (just not too close!).

sorry you so exhausted, I really need to start going to bed earlier
get the grumps big time after about 9pm (if I haven't got them already) then feel too stressed to go to bed???!?? Very silly, but I just can't bring myself to go to bed at 8.30.

Oh and have both feet firmly planted in denial re this whole birth malarky. We have decided that its just wind, and final releasing of said wind on due date is the signal for the stalk to bring baby to me for cuddling.

BlindKitty · 16/04/2014 06:34

Hi guys, finally reset my password too!

Can't believe how most of us are nearing the end now!
Almost called the mw yest due to jack of movements but she seems to be making up for it this morning! Lots if rub kicks so hoping she's getting in position now!

PuppyMummy · 16/04/2014 07:13

kitty how strange!! me to!

But then overnight and this morn plenty of wriggles.

had massive squirming early hrs tues morning so I also think he has just changed position, was quiet all day tho! I spent a lot of time sat in the car on Mon too so wondered if he had been squashed up a bit.

Bunnygirlie · 16/04/2014 08:25

Finally got chance to change password and log in, hello mums and mums to be Grin

Oooh jess movements!

People keep asking me if I've felt it move yet, surely it's too early? When did you all first feel the flutter?

16w mw appt today, next big milestone I guess!

PuppyMummy · 16/04/2014 08:35

bunny I didn't feel anything until about 19 weeks and then for about 6 weeks it was like a twitch rather than a movement!

CatsCantFlyFast · 16/04/2014 09:21

Bunny I don't think I felt anything until between 18 and 20 weeks

OP posts:
Boomgoestheweasel · 16/04/2014 10:57

Nothing until about 22weeks here if I remember correctly -anterior placentas though. Good luck with 16wk appt!

jess the girls are great thanks! Having a few hormonal wobbles but overall loving mummyhood. Currently got a snoozy baby on the boob and a zonked one in the Moses basket so feeling very zen..

brod that sounds like a hard day out - hope your mum gets accepted so you don't have to do more viewings!

Can't wait for the next wave of berry arrivals Grin

Brodicea · 16/04/2014 11:11

movements - thought I might be feeling something at 17 weeks but it was a bit like wind. Don't think I was really sure until about 20 weeks. Also an anterior placenta, but pretty high up so I could feel things very low.

Also, she does seem to have on and off days - just enough to make me almost call the midwife, and then she starts doing the lambada in there. I also get a lot more hiccups (unless she's going to be a drummer and has excellent time already).

It is getting closer! Easter Shock Just typed up my birth plan for DH to print out so he has a copy to hand. My years in administration are manifesting in some very word / excel focussed nesting behaviours!

I think there are a few people before me… please let there be a few before me!

BlindKitty · 16/04/2014 11:17

bunny remember that 'omg please move' feeling oh too well

Very strange man in street came up to me today, looked at my bump and said 'they're only good for a smack in the face you know'...Confused

Brodicea · 16/04/2014 11:21

kitty! Nice Confused

Bunnygirlie · 16/04/2014 18:09

Yay bunny icons Easter Grin

16w appt went well, same midwife as booking in, think I will see her whole way through as small doctors surgery. Took a while for her to find the heartbeat, Crikey your heart almost stops but it was AMAZING! Easter Smile

Thanks for reassurance ref movements, somebody told me they felt something at 15weeks?!?!? Won't panic just yet.

kat and poppy up next then, then brod. No berry babies for ages and then loads at once!!!!!

Oooh kitty nasty man Easter Sad

Foodylicious · 16/04/2014 18:32

Was about 19 weeks before I felt anything bunny Easter Smile loving the bunnys!

Brodicea · 16/04/2014 18:34

Aw bunny, it is a lovely feeling - I freak out a bit every time they take a bit to find it!

BTW all, the offer my mum put in for her Leeds house has been accepted - Brods infiltrating Yorkshire for sure!

Tallyra · 16/04/2014 21:12

19 or 20 weeks for me with the movrment here too. I had a very hiccupy bump which seems to have translated into a hicuppy baby....

MotherOfCleo · 16/04/2014 23:05

Sorry bunny, that was me who felt movement at 14/15 weeks, I had eaten a whole bag share bag of skittles though, the poor little guy was probably on an epic sugar high! I was also really unusual, the norm is much much later, sorry for worrying you.

Tallyra · 17/04/2014 07:01

The list is slightly wrong by the way. Could someone change Imogen's birthday to the 7th please?

BlindKitty · 17/04/2014 07:15

bunny I think you'll prob have a few weeks to wait just yet, I'm afraid

Have treated Dh to tickets to the rugby on sun in Cardiff inc his friend who lives there and his daughter. He's being a but grumpy lately so moaned that I was making him leave the house when he wanted to vegetate. Told a white lie and said his friends son (who doesn't have a dad, well a decent one anyway) that he was really looking forward to going to the rugby with his uncle kitty and suddenly he wants to go! Maybe he is ready to be a dad after all Smile

Ooh 5 weeks today Easter Shock
