For pregnant berries at any stage. Scary thought but this is the one where some babies will appear!

Boomgoestheweasel · 12/04/2014 01:19

Finally a mummy Grin to twin girls born at 8.43 and 8.44 yesterday morning, weighing 5lb15 and 5lb2. Slight hitch in plan and ended up with GA section, but all happy and healthy and babies are beautiful beyond belief. Will update fb properly when I have decent signal, sorry am really struggling to post anything!

MotherOfCleo · 12/04/2014 01:31

Ahh lovely news, 2 gorgeous girls to make your lives complete. So thrilled for you. Hope you are ok and not too sore, be gentle with yourself as sections take a while to come back from especially if you had a GA and I assume you'll be more bruised due to twins. Can't wait to hear more about your beautiful babies. So so thrilled for you mummy boom. Grin Thanks Thanks

Enjoy your first few days with your daughters. Lots of family photos, lots of little videos, they are tint for such a short time and it really does fly by so cherish every moment as they will never smell this amazing again Grin missing the newborn smell

Quiet in here

BlindKitty · 13/04/2014 09:36

It's so quiet in here these days..everyone is obviously busy with babies!

Foodylicious · 13/04/2014 10:18

Morning chaps!!
Yes bunny & kitty it is quiet!

Have friedn staying for weekend so progress with the babys room has stalled again as she is sleeping in there. Hoping to get some bits done after she goes this afternoon, then it will have to be little bits in the evenings I think. My folks are coming up next weekend and I want it look a bit more ready-ish for then and get my dad to help put up curtain pole etc.

Off round to meet one of friends little ones later today, he will be 10 days old!

So going to make a carrot cake now to take round, made one last week for work and it way YUMMY! www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/carrotcake_70048

Hope everyone is have good weekends, I am looking forward to two 4 day weeks with the bank holidays and all!

Anyone up to anything exciting over next weekend?

Much love to all the bumps and babies!

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/04/2014 13:41

Hey all. I'm not posting too much as I feel a bit in limbo/not in the chopper anymore. Plus I'm too sleepy to post overnight. Plus I doubt you want to hear my moaning Grin
Anyway had family for the weekend and it was disastrous. Meaning I barely got to see my dad which I'm a bit upset about today. Am currently trying to get baby poo out if a mountain of E's clothes and muslins...she pooed on me during a nappy change yesterday! However I only get to apply stain remover before she's hungry or wants a cuddle so its slow progress

PuppyMummy · 13/04/2014 15:45

kitty how did ur baby shower go?

I am on holiday for 2 weeks then back at work for 4, then aparently am going to hav a baby!!!! Grin

who is next on the berry baby list?

BlindKitty · 13/04/2014 16:14

foody how were the newborn cuddles?

merk don't leave us!! Anyway, we like hearing you moan Wink. We hardly know anything about what happens when the baby comes so we need you to tell us what to do! Sorry you've not spent much time with your dad. Re the poo stains, could you not just dump everything in water until your Dh can do it?

puppy baby shower was fab thanks! bunny afraid we ran out of time to do the baby food testing! Feel very lucky. Are you working til a week before then?

PoppySeedBun · 13/04/2014 17:21

Hello berries. Yes quiet in here at the mo - hope everyone is out enjoying the sunshine. Have a feeling that me (and the erstwhile katatonic) are next up. 10 days until my due date - eek!
Still, not much activity. Have had some strong BH and one or two more painful contractions though that might just have been wind Blush

merk please do share your moans with us! I definitely haven't absorbed the reality of having a baby rather than a bump yet! Although I promise to take most of the gory details to the post-natal thread when she does arrive.

PuppyMummy · 13/04/2014 17:38

kitty yes will be 39 weeks, unless baby decides he would like to come before that!

poppy how exciting! 7 ish weeks left for me now, think it might drag as feel like im done sorting all baby stuff and just 'waiting!'

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/04/2014 17:51

Don't worry I'm not leaving, I don't really feel like a proper grad as they're talking about teething and stuff that's miles in the future so I'm just hanging around here waiting for you all to be mums

Puppy I can not believe your due date is so soon...

In all honesty I don't have much to moan about! E is great, she screams let's us know whenever she wants something, and we are figuring out what to do. However I was woefully naive underprepared for how much time I would spend feeding her, and how difficult it is to put her down (a combination of her wanting lots of cuddles and me missing her when we are not having cuddles) so I am struggling to get basic things like brushing my hair or teeth done.

Boom still wanting to hear more about the boom babies arrival, however on the basis that I have about 1 min to myself every day I suspect you will have a lot less time than that to be MN-ing Grin

And if anybody is in a betting mood, I am about to try carrying the Moses basket into the bathroom and have a bath while she sleeps. Please lay your bets on how long my bath will last before I have to leap out to feed a screaming E Grin (or more likely whether I manage to get in it in the first place before she wakes up)

jessplussomeonenew · 13/04/2014 18:04

Are you out yet Merk? Hope not, anyway!

We're currently sorting though an amazing array of baby stuff that a friend of mine has very kindly donated. This includes a nursing chair, pram/pushchair set, two slings and a huge number of cloth nappies in various sizes, including lots of brand new ones (not too sure about the leopard print ones though!). Feeling very lucky! Now all we have to do is find somewhere to put it all....

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/04/2014 18:09

Not in yet, she woke as I was writing the last post! Am feeding again in the hope age will sleep
Leopard print will probably disguise poo stains well Grin
