I have 39 days left (AND COUNTING) until my planned cs on 11th april

I am fat, fed up, knackered, aching, heartburn-ridden and absolutely DESPERATE for the baby to be out. this will be dc3 and deffo my LAST

anyone else got a similar amount of time left and want a thread where we can share the joys of the final stretch of pregnancy

currently todays bugbear is my needing a wee constantly, which will no doubt keep me up all night again

Ditto Inglorious..

IWantAnotherBaby · 10/03/2014 16:32

Can I join? DC3 due 30.03.14. I am 40, but not being induced at term because I had C-section with DC1 (so risk of uterine rupture after IOL is greater than risk from going overdue). Still another week at work, but counting the days now until I can stop... sooooo tired...

balenciaga · 10/03/2014 17:37

hello and welcome to the new thread joiners

I am well fed up

hips and legs hurting, constant heartburn, breathless, and constant feeling like I need a wee. up at least 2 - 3 times a night for a wee. dh snoring at nights as well and this morning dcs were up at 6 ffs making noise

oh Balenciaga totally feel your pain.

I feel like I've been needing to pee ever 10 minutes today. 5 days until I'm 37 wks then this baby cannot turn up soon enough. everything is a struggle now and I just want him out!

Inglori0us · 10/03/2014 22:40

Yep, the constant need to wee is very annoying. Trudging up the stairs while my toddler yells "mamma, come baaaaack!" from downstairs is wearing thin!
Spent time sitting on the birth ball tonight. It's really uncomfortable on my hips and pelvis after 10 minutes though.

Horrible night sleep... Had nasty period cramps for the first half of the night, second half was all horrible nightmares and being woken every now and then by ds talking in his sleep. I was sweating so much I thought my waters had broke Grin sorry tmi!

CaipirinhasAllRound · 11/03/2014 08:22

I had a really sweaty night too but actually had a half decent night's sleep
Really wish I was on mat leave already, had yday off but back in 2 for the last 3 weeks

Inglori0us · 11/03/2014 12:38

I bought a mini wine today. Can't wait to have it later!

HelenHen · 11/03/2014 14:30

Aww nearly there caipirinhas!

Oohh I love those mini wine bottles... Sounds like a great idea!

Brought ds to park again this morning... Last time I take him out without the buggy though. My friend carried him most of the way home while I pushed her dd and I carried him the rest! He's been asleep for an hour and a half now so I swept the cobwebs off the balcony and cleaned the Windows and Sat out with my book for an hour... Fabulous! Grin

HelenHen · 11/03/2014 14:32

Lol in the park I met a woman I knew last year from breastfeeding group... She looked at my bump and said 'oh my god, you're at it again'. Grin thought that was a great way to put it!

Vikkijayne2507 · 11/03/2014 15:00

I walked a lot yesterday in the lovely sunshinebut am suffering today with a really sore hip or pelvic bone whatever it is it hurts to stand on or walk on so there is sunshine but im not walking anywhere today so enjoying the sun from my balcony instead

Inglori0us · 11/03/2014 15:25

I went to the bank and supermarket with dd this morning and it took over 2 hours. Totally knackered now!
Now I have awful pain in pelvis and upper thighs.

Baby is still breech and high up so must just be muscular-skeletal pain rather than him pressing down.
Got sinus pain and blocked nose now after swerving dh and dd's illness for the last 2 weeks. At least I have my mini wine to look forward to tonight.

Bought "full briefs" pack of 4 for £3 in Tesco. They are REALLY MASSIVE PANTS!

Tea1Sugar · 11/03/2014 15:27

36 days until my planned section on 16th April and SO over being upduffed!

Inglori0us · 11/03/2014 15:27

I need to go to ikea (only 20 mins drive thankfully) to buy a chest of drawers. Have started washing the baby clothes but now have nowhere to put them away. Just can't face going.
Dd is at nursery tomorrow so I might go then and treat myself to a cooked breakfast as an incentive!

HelenHen · 11/03/2014 15:33

Yep leave it til tmrw inglori0us or go today and use morning alone to chill out put together furniture and sort out baby clothes

Misty9 · 11/03/2014 15:44

I recommend the malm white chest of drawers from ikea, it's what we've got for ds and I'd love another for this one but no room really (and ikea is 3hrs drive away). So I'm about to go and reorganise our stuff and see what drawer room I can find.

Had home birth visit this morning...it's getting a bit real now! Also picked up the car seat this afternoon. Now less than a month to due date... Grin
Picked up ds and stood up this morning. Mistake, and pelvis is now slowly disintegrating :( the joys. At least it's sunny :)

NancyJones · 11/03/2014 19:47

Grin @ really massive pants! Yes they are but so very welcome in that first week or two.

I also keep going to the park and regretting it. Feel that DS3 needs the stimulation but I find it a real struggle.

We have a malm chest of drawers and wardrobe in ds3's bedroom. Really practical although we went with the oak colour as I thought the white might need more cleaning which isn't my forte at all.

johull · 11/03/2014 19:54

Can someone please tell me what SPD is, I've just been reading imam your comments and it's come up several times. Thanks

Inglori0us · 11/03/2014 20:03

Jo it's pelvic pain. www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/pelvic-pain-pregnant-spd.aspx
It can vary a lot from person to person and come and go.

We have Malm too but can't fit another one in so I'm getting a Rast and painting it.

I let my dd and neighbours 2yo run feral in the garden all afternoon while I sat in a chair. Nobody died, got poisoned or was bleeding by 5pm so I see it as a huge success. They did have a fight over the Wendy house but that's toddlers for you. Lovely to be able to be outside without coats.

Inglori0us · 11/03/2014 20:06

Misty ikea do online sales now and deliver via parcelforce. The quote for my Rast delivery I was £9 so I thought I'd go myself as I'm so near. Also, I want the mini Dime Bars.

balenciaga · 11/03/2014 21:32

Ooh it's worth going ikea just for the meatballs and chips, I went last week mmmmmm

OP posts:
Misty9 · 11/03/2014 21:46

Yes, we've used ikea online and delivery recently for ds's big boy bed :) and if I could have convinced dh to go to ikea a few weeks back then I would have been there like a shot! it was a vague plan but then he was mysteriously ill on the day... Grin

Currently chomping my way through a bag of maltesers - they taste slightly strange, but I'm putting it down to my pregnancy bloodhound nose tendencies.

Misty9 · 11/03/2014 22:11

I feel a bit sick now... serves me right Grin

HelenHen · 11/03/2014 22:21

Don't worry... Hopefully you just ate one too many!

Misty9 · 11/03/2014 22:26

Think it might have been 30 too many helen Grin
