I have 39 days left (AND COUNTING) until my planned cs on 11th april

I am fat, fed up, knackered, aching, heartburn-ridden and absolutely DESPERATE for the baby to be out. this will be dc3 and deffo my LAST

anyone else got a similar amount of time left and want a thread where we can share the joys of the final stretch of pregnancy

currently todays bugbear is my needing a wee constantly, which will no doubt keep me up all night again

Congratulations blessed. Welcome to the world dominic x

LastOneDancing · 30/03/2014 08:42

?!? So sorry Blessed! Dominic, not Elias! I was caught out by thinking 'what a fab name'!! Blush

Another hot curry fail last night - nothing to report except terrible garlic morning breath...

Inglori0us · 30/03/2014 09:16

Last I thought labour was starting last night as had 2 much stronger pains than I've had before. Also I was starving hungry which is very unusual at the mo. I was sure it was the start of labour! Dh had a little panic when I told him, but nothing came of it.

Slept ok too so maybe it is my body gearing up for labour!
Going to Nando's for lunch (classy Mother's Day!) so Extra Hot chicken for me.

BlessedAssurance · 30/03/2014 09:22

Last no problem at all. I am calling him EliasGrin

Helen i forgot to say congratulations on your new bundle of joyThanks we are done and I realise our babies share a birthdaySmile welcome to the world Robyn

curlyLJ · 30/03/2014 12:01

Congratulations Blessed. Dominic is a lovely name Smile

My hot curry didn't do anything either LastOneDancing but I think it's still a bit early for me.

Felt really sick yesterday afternoon and took myself off for a nap - felt like how I used to with morning sickness. Has anyone else had that towards the end?? Feel OK this morning, but struggled to eat my dinner last night and kept burping/hiccuping - again, just like in the early weeks - bizarre.

DH is going away for 4 nights this week with work (unless anything kicks off before he leaves tomorrow obviously), so no more hot curries or anything for me now, I need this baby to stay right where it is until at least Thursday!

HelenHen · 30/03/2014 16:58

Thank you all! Oh congrats blessed... Wonderful news Grin and welcome Dominic! Robyn breastfeeding wonderfully too but we'll take it a feed at a time for now! Brought her home today and she finally met her big bro. Lol that was fun! He's turned into a monster over the few days with the well intentioned in laws! Our whole hospital experience was much better this time... Beautiful. I hope you all get the same!

Inglori0us · 30/03/2014 17:03

Curly I'm in the same boat. Dh is going away tomorrow to Germany til Wednesday night. I left it up to him and he's decided to go.

I'm also feeling sick. Went out for lunch with my family today for Mother's Day and was close to asking dh to pull over so I could be sick. I find if I can start eating I can get good down ok, but getting started is hard as I feel so rough.

Inglori0us · 30/03/2014 17:04

So glad it went well in hospital Helen and that Robyn is feeding well. So pleased for you. x

bopoityboo3 · 30/03/2014 17:08

Thought things were starting last night after DTD with dh some very painful contractions over a few hours and then nothing Angry getting so fed up now.

HelenHen · 30/03/2014 17:12

Ah you had him Friday too? Smile ah that's brilliant! I honestly can't believe how much easier it was second time! I'm going to sleep for a year now! Those wards are impossible to sleep on!

HelenHen · 30/03/2014 17:14

Oh inglori0us, I really hope it starts to get easier for you now and that baby waits for dh to come back!

BlessedAssurance · 30/03/2014 17:55

Agree about the second time being easier. Dh was commenting on how together i am with this baby compared to my first. Everything is just different. I have lipstick onGrin the first time l looked like Dracula's bride. I would not have applied the lipstick even if i was being paid. My son and I are bonding after i went through the whole contraction process and breathing through the pain knowing that within a few hrs he would be in my arms. With my DD the pain after the induction left me delirious and mental. Then the Emcs was done so quickly that I felt as if someone had the baby and handed her over so I could look after her. Depression set in because I thought I was a horrible mom for not bonding with my baby.

With this one I got to keep him in my tummy for as long as l could and when the time came for him to be taken out, I was so relaxed. Students who were watching introduced themselves, my Dh was right there beside me. The whole experience was lovely. I haven't shed a single tear but with Dd i thought my well would never run dry. I hope you guys will have the same experience because it
makes a great difference. Now that I am done i can cheer you all and celebrate with youGrin.

HelenHen · 30/03/2014 18:19

Oh sorry about the depression first time! That's terrible to deal with! After ds I thought I would need therapy! I still cried this time though! Injection for placenta made me throw up couple of hours later, then they started bombarding me with info, first the physio, then the breastfeeding lady who actually asked the pediatrician to wait, then the bounty lady who was trying to sell us pics. I broke down and Midwife felt sorry for me and moved me to my own room and put up dnd sign Smile . After that it was wonderful. I can't believe they do that to New moms though!

LastOneDancing · 30/03/2014 18:36

Lovely positive birth stories - thank you ladies, just what we needed to hear. I'm so pleased you both feel relaxed, fulfilled and are enjoying your babies!

Happy mothers day to all the Mums and very soon Mums to be! X

Inglori0us · 30/03/2014 20:31

Yes, lovely stories! I'm a psychologist and I had some treatment following the birth of dd as I had some mild PTSD symptoms. It really helped me come to terms with it as it was quite traumatic and I hadn't fully processed all the emotion and fear I felt.

I am now facing emcs on my own if it happens in next 3 days but I feel I can cope. My dh is really squeamish about blood and surgery so he'd probably be useless anyway.
Baby is trying to move head down I think but there's not enough space. It's quite uncomfy but it's nice to feel him moving a lot.

Misty9 · 30/03/2014 20:58

Ooh inglorious, I'm a psychologist too :) what field do you work in? Hoping your baby stays put until your dh gets back.

These babies are starting to come thick and fast now! No major signs here, just usual strong Braxton hicks and lots of discharge. Not getting my hopes up though. Only 10 days to due date! I've actually started batch cooking this time as remember how eating went out window with a newborn.

Inglori0us · 30/03/2014 21:21

Hi Misty. I'm split between an anxiety clinic and paediatric. You?

Having lots of crampy pains again. Come on baby!!

HelenHen · 31/03/2014 03:19

Oh inglori0us, you must be terrified Sad .

We'll it's not all champagne and roses... Tonight she's suddenly started feeding every hour. I had to kick dh into the spare room so at least one of us can be well slept to deal with the monster toddler Grin . She's now asleep on my chest cos I thought she was waking and she wasn't. I could be asleep now Sad

Dh almost got kicked out of delivery suite too! I told him to shut up during a contraction and he actually got all huffy with me! I sent him for a walk and made it clear he wouldn't be coming back in with then same attitude!

Misty9 · 31/03/2014 06:52

I'm not working at the moment inglorious but was in medium secure forensic though most of my experience is adult mental health and child/family. Jobs situation a bit dire in my trust but hopefully will be better in a year when I'm looking again!

Cramps here too but that feeling she might come before due date is fading.. Up early with ds to give dh a lie in for once. Yawn.

Inglori0us · 31/03/2014 07:58

My dh got up at 4.40am for his 6am flight out to Germany, so dd and I woke up then too. :(
Is it lunchtime yet? :)
I've got a sinking feeling this baby will come while he's away but whatever happens, I know I can deal with it. Got some good friends who can help with my dd and my mum is local too.
Still lots of wriggling from the baby so I think he's still trying to turn and I've got lots of mild contractions.

Helen, lots of feeding is tiring but better than no feeding! I have no clue how my toddler is going to react to the baby.

Misty, hope things get moving for you soon.

BlessedAssurance · 31/03/2014 08:30

Helen happy daysGrin my monkey is feeding well. My problem is that my boobs have been invaded by aliens. What does one do with all that milk? I expressed which only made it worse. They are now bigger than Katie Price's and are red and sore, ouch, I have asked to be released so glad i can go home. It's my DD's birthday and I can't be away from her, not that she cares by her attitude last she saw me, she was only interested in her little brother.

HelenHen · 31/03/2014 11:12

Lol blessed, yep I'm sporting the Jordan boobs too... Not pleasant at all. So far I've managed to avoid expressing but she'd better wake up soon! At some point we wanna introduce formula before bed to help her sleep longer and make things easier but not sure when to do that.

Monster's a little less demanding today but quite clingy to me! Dh bringing him out for a walk!

Glad to hear you have good support inglori0us, it's always such a nervous time!

LastOneDancing · 02/04/2014 00:05

How are you getting on without your DH Inglorious? All ok?

I thought something was kicking off tonight - loads of braxtons which didn't go away when I changed position... But they've stopped Confused

Inglori0us · 02/04/2014 16:47

Hi Last. Dh is on his way home now. It's been a tough 3 days. Toddler is wearing me out!
I've had no more cramps or bh in the last couple of days and I've slept terribly. I think it's because I was scared of going into labour while he was away.

BlessedAssurance · 02/04/2014 17:52

Inglorious so lovely your Dh is coming home. You must be knackered all alone with a toddler. Now you can relax and not worry that you will go into labour alone..
