I have 39 days left (AND COUNTING) until my planned cs on 11th april

I am fat, fed up, knackered, aching, heartburn-ridden and absolutely DESPERATE for the baby to be out. this will be dc3 and deffo my LAST

anyone else got a similar amount of time left and want a thread where we can share the joys of the final stretch of pregnancy

currently todays bugbear is my needing a wee constantly, which will no doubt keep me up all night again

Oh no Inglorious. Fx that you're home and feeling better now?

Inglori0us · 27/03/2014 19:04

Thanks Last. Am home after 30 hours in hospital. Wasn't too bad as the ward was quiet so had a reasonable sleep and a restful day.

How are you Helen?

BlessedAssurance · 27/03/2014 20:00

I gloRious, that sounds horrible, poor you. 30 hrs? Hope you are ok now.

Inglori0us · 27/03/2014 20:32

Thanks Blessed, I'm feeling ok now.
Monitor picked up regular mild contractions but they're not getting any stronger or more frequent.

Staff at my hospital are really lovely so that's made me feel better about the cs.

BlessedAssurance · 27/03/2014 20:37

When is the cs Inglrious? Have you agreed on a date yet?. I am having very strong contractions right now so i hope things are happening. Due date today so who knowsSmile..

Inglori0us · 27/03/2014 21:37

How exciting Blessed! :) Do keep us posted!
ELCS is booked for 14th April bit I don't think this baby is prepared to wait that long! Unfortunately it'll be an EMCS if waters break before then.

Saw lots of women in early labour at the hospital and was very envious. I am now absolutely huge, bump measuring 41 weeks!

LastOneDancing · 28/03/2014 04:23

Oooh Blessed! Exciting! I am very jealous - I have now seen 5 of my 8 NCT babies arrive as well as my good friends... I want MY baby!

Giving the old evening primrose oil a go now to see if it can soften things up & get them going. Along with raspberry tea, bouncing, walking, curry... Not resorted to castor oil yet.

DH is refusing to try DTD. He says it's too much like having 3 of us in the room... Confused

Inglori0us · 28/03/2014 07:52

Really spicy curry did it for me last time!

bopoityboo3 · 28/03/2014 08:28

oh blessed that is very exciting!
I spent last night having fairly strong Braxton hicks but they never established into anything Angry I did a lot of walking yesterday even with the horrible pain of my SPD and it's not working. Just want my baby now. one week and one day until due date and then I can have a sweep.

We met our little girl, Robyn, this morning after a pretty dramatic yet short Labour. I was given pethadine when Labour started and had her less than an hour later. Was sitting on the loo and told midwife I needed to pooh, she shouted at me to get on the bed and she was born a few minutes later. Labour was so much easier and quicker than first. She's over in neo natal at the mo though cos of low blood sugar. Hopefully it won't be for too long. I'm pretty exhausted now so sleepy time! Grin

She's beautiful Blush

bopoityboo3 · 28/03/2014 18:25

Congratulations Helen that is great news. Hope she's okay and you're enjoying lots of new baby snuggles soon Thanks

Inglori0us · 28/03/2014 19:47

Oh congrats Helen, glad it was quick for you. Welcome Robyn. Lovely name. xxx

Hi, just wondering if i can join you...? I have been lurking for a while and reading all your stories. Nice to see some babies have already arrived!

I'm 37+2, and already have a DD who has just turned 4. I've had enough with being pg now and am just waiting for my hot curry to try and get things moving Smile My feet are so swollen and painful and I just want my ankles back!

I really want to go into spontaneous labour ASAP though as my consultant is really pushing me to go for induction a couple of days before due date as I am considered high risk due to advanced maternal age - I'm 40. I was induced previously and want to avoid all that intervention and go to the MLU.

I've been losing my plug/had bloody show for the last 2-3 days now with some painless BHs and seem to have that feeling that you get just before a period, like a heavy/dragging feeling IYKWIM? I guess it's just baby's head pressing down. Trying to keep as active as possible - fingers crossed it won't be long.

Inglori0us · 28/03/2014 20:57

Hi Curly, welcome.

I've been having mild contractions for days & days. Nothing happening though. Feel like I'm inching towards the finish line now though!

LastOneDancing · 28/03/2014 21:37

Wonderful news Helen! Robyn is a fabulous name Smile congratulations x

I'm averaging a baby a day thus week - between NCT and friends they are popping them out left right & centre. Today is a two baby day with Helen's!

Im jealous and grumpy and probably will be until my sweep on Thursday!

LastOneDancing · 28/03/2014 21:38

Oh and welcome Curly!

I'm even Envy of your BHs and show!! Blush

Inglori0us · 29/03/2014 06:03

I'm with you Last. Bit fed up of it, but also scared as the thought of an EMCS is pushing my control freak tendencies to the limit. Also I don't want to wait 2 more weeks for my ELCS. All very confusing.

Got a 2yo's birthday party this afternoon (one of my NCT friends ds). It's around my dd's nap time too so it might be a disaster.

How are you Blessed? Baby yet??

:) x

CaipirinhasAllRound · 29/03/2014 07:07

Congratulations Helen! Love the name Robyn. Enjoy lots of cuddles x

cheekyfunkymonkey · 29/03/2014 07:20

Congratulations Helen and welcome curly. So exciting to read about the arrival and imminent arrival of all these babies! I am not there yet (35 weeks) Just starting to pack hospital bag and prepare the house. I was relieved to find out I don't need a planned cs this week (placenta Previa).

Inglori0us · 29/03/2014 08:27

Great news Cheeky.

My dd keeps patting the bump and saying "Baby soon? Hello baby! Shh, baby sleeping." So sweet.

BlessedAssurance · 29/03/2014 16:49

Hi all, so, here goes. On my due date started having contractions around 7. Thought they were BH. Around 8.30 knew that I was in trouble. Decided to labour in my living room with DH as my breathing coach. When it got too much went to the hospital and was 4cm dilated. However the head was still high up so even if I had opened to 10 I would not have managed to give birth. The doctors were willing to make me try and after 19hrs agreed that he was not coming down. C Section in the end. I didn't want to be induced and I got my wish which enabled me to experience labour differently. The section was relaxed and the whole birth was relaxed. I have not shed a tear this time but with DD I couldn't stop crying from the pain of breastfeeding and the whole labour.

Dominic Elias weighed 4.1kg. A true vikingGrin and ulike his sister who had no latch for 6months, he knew what to do when presented the boob Smile so breastfeeding is going well. Good luck to the rest of the team. I thought I would be pregnant for ever but he was ready, just didn't want to come out the normal way..

LastOneDancing · 29/03/2014 18:31

Hooray Blessed! Fabulous news and you sound really relaxed and happy.

Welcome Elias! Xx

Inglori0us · 29/03/2014 19:01

That's amazing Blessed. So glad you have your boy and feel so good about it all. Welcome Dominic!! Lovely news.

Let's keep 'em coming! :)
