pixie good luck. Maybe 2 thread babies tomorrow then? Grin

Thunderpantsarego · 06/03/2014 21:50

Oo saggy's gone very quiet...

Pixielady83 · 06/03/2014 21:59

Thanks garden that's really encouraging to hear that it wasn't total hecticness for you! my last labour built up gradually so I feel quite confident if it is like that, less so if it is straight into full on contractions! the midwife didn't call with blood test results today so I'm presuming they were ok... I'm still a bit itchy and rash still there though. Also headachy was that a symptom for you? not too worried as going in tomorrow so will make sure I chase up results then.

tins they may very well send me home tomorrow- they've said they'll only break waters if cervix is favourable and I haven't had even a sniff of a tightening in a few days now so I'm trying not to expect too much! if the liver function tests come back iffy though I guess that'll affect things.

Hope saggy is making good progress!

How pregnant are you all? Seems like you're all quite far along but hard to gauge. Is anyone still in the terrifying pre-3 month window? I'm only 5 weeks pg but kind of need a bit of hand-holding. I feel like these next couple of months are going to drag by. What did/do you do to stop yourselves thinking about it/worrying?

Pixielady83 · 06/03/2014 22:49

Hi and welcome mabel sorry I think I missed your earlier posts. I'm 40+4 so pretty far along Wink but I'm sure there are some first trimester folk here. I found myself on this thread when I found out I was pregnant again after an mmc. I found it so hard to trust my body again especially as I had had a really rough 13 wks symptom wise with the mmc pregnancy. This one has actually been much easier symptom wise which I found very unnerving in first trimester. I found the ladies on this thread an amazing support and also I found trying to have something to do every single day helped me. My worst days were when I had nothing planned and was at home on my own. So I would say try and stay busy, and make small milestones to encourage yourself along. Also try and stay away from google. It is such a scary time but repeating the mantra 'today I am pregnant' and sharing your fears will hopefully help you along.

Off to bed now, saggy really hope little ryvita is in your arms very soon.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 06/03/2014 23:34

I'm still here! Smile
getting irregular contractions but nothing I cant deal with. The woman opposite had just gone down. Bless her it's her first and she's gone really fast. She's in a bit of a tizz.

Mabel - there are quite a few of us in the first trimester on here, you're in good company. We're the ones scared stiff by every little twinge and the unreliability of symptoms Wink I'm 9+4 and not yet convinced (but slightly hopeful) that everything will be ok.

Saggy - I hope you're in the middle of a short and straightforward labour and that we'll wake to the news of Ryvita's safe arrival tomorrow!

Lottystar · 06/03/2014 23:49

Hi Mabel, I'm 11 weeks + 4 and have my 12 week scan tomorrow. Excited but also bricking it incase anything is wrong. Here to hold your hand whenever, I've had lots of wobbles so far this pregnancy. Miscarriage knocked my trust in my body and my instincts as when I mc'ed in Oct, I really felt pregnant and was utterly complacent.

Hope all's going well Saggy x

fod27 · 07/03/2014 00:17

saggy I'm sooo excited for you cxx I bet you can't contain yourself! Hope youvd eaten

MabelMay · 07/03/2014 02:11

lottie, jbrd and pixie - thanks for your responses. Pixie - wow - it's so close for you now!
Everything you all say rings very true. I'm nervous going to the loo, and even though it's only been 5 days since I found out I was PG am already paranoid about the twinges and cramps. Great advice re little milestones - I need to fill my diary so that I'm busy enough to make the time go a little faster.

I had a MC at 7/8 weeks in April and a MMC at 9 weeks in July. This is my first pregnancy since. Actually with my second MMC I had a bad feeling before the scan, since my symptoms had seemed to disappear overnight - no more tiredness and sore boobs - so I can see myself getting overly anxious any time I might feel perky or my boobs feel less 'prominent' so to speak Hmm

Is there anything any of you took to try and keep the pregnancy viable? I have been taking low dose aspirin for 3 weeks and other than that just the folic acid. If you have any recommendations or experiences on that front I'd really love to hear.

Also, I know it sounds ridiculous, but I used to go for a run 3 times a week in the mornings. Now I daren't - but I miss it. I know it's irrational as I'm sure it would make no difference to the outcome - but, would it...? Am I crazy to stop jogging??

lottystar everything crossed for your scan tomorrow. I can imagine how you must be feeling. I think I'll be bricking it too if/when I make it to that milestone.

JBrd have you had many symptoms so far?

saggy - good luck!

MabelMay · 07/03/2014 02:12

Oh and btw I have two DCs already (aged 8 and 6) so I've done it before. I know it can happen. Smile

BobaFetaCheese · 07/03/2014 03:16

Mabel, I didn't do anything activie until the 2nd trimester. I'm the sort of person who'd blame myself if something went wrong again so it was the easiest way!
I didn't do any of the pregnancy food no-nos either and I found a countdown app on phone (well, three of them) useful for trying to stay attached to being pregnant.

My post mc baby is 7 months (!) So I'm just hanging around like a bad smell Grin

BobaFetaCheese · 07/03/2014 03:17

waving madly still.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 07/03/2014 03:54

bouncing on a ball band eating the best toast EVER!

MabelMay · 07/03/2014 04:07

boba I think that's it really - I'd hate to have a reason to blame myself if anything did go wrong.
Like the idea of the countdown app. Will have a search and see what I find. And congrats on the baby!

GardenWorm · 07/03/2014 04:42

Go Tigger/Saggy

Have they checked to see if there is progress? Quite liking the sound of that toast.....nom nom nom Grin
Pixie mine were all over the liver thing like a rash so I'm sure they would have been in touch if there was a whiff of it. Didn't they ask you to ring for the results?

MrsGiraffe12 · 07/03/2014 05:18

Well I thought I'd pop in before I leave for work at this ungainly hour

Good luck too all having scans today!

Hand holding to all having a wobble

And.......

Go saggy hope Ryvita doesn't keep you waiting much longer xx

fod27 · 07/03/2014 07:33

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 07/03/2014 07:35

Rummages in her school planner for a late slip for Ryvita. Grin

I actually had a positive dream last night. It was rather mundane. Fitting a travel system into the car but there was a baby in a moses basket in the dream waiting to be popped into it. Sure beats the bloody nightmares. Let's hope that is the prophetic dream!!

fedupofrainydays · 07/03/2014 08:20

Come on ryvita!!

I wish I could say I had a good dream. Had really vivid miscarriage dream. It was horrible. Woke up with a start, feeling terrible and rushing to check for blood. Feel a bit emotionally drained by it :(

fod27 · 07/03/2014 08:27

Hahaa I meant yours saggy

fod27 · 07/03/2014 08:28

fedup at least you know that the pregnancy hormones are kicking in

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 07/03/2014 08:31

I know you did Fod! Grin
FedUp its just a hormone induced dream. That's all.
