Nature definitely has a twisted sense of humour. Confused
I have to admit today to more than a little hormonal blubbering! I was so comfy in being pg and knowing what was coming when she's here, knowing it's going to be different to the others but being ok with that in the future, to suddenly realising that future starts tomorrow!Confused
DH is going to come in from work any minute and wonder what the hell hit me!

So understandable that it will hit you more than once saggy, it's huge that ryvita arrives tomorrow, huge but wonderful! I am totally in denial about my arrival- just can't get my head around the fact that there will be a real baby in my life.

Pixielady83 · 05/03/2014 17:58

saggy you are entirely allowed a big wobbly moment! you have taken so much in your stride this pregnancy, while cheering all of us along as well, and you are a very strong lady but you would be super human not to be a bit scared at this point. It is all going to be absolutely fine though, you and Ryvita will be in the best possible hands, you've done loads of research and you are well prepared. Let's hope you have your gorgeous girlie in your arms very very soon. I'm waving some pompoms to cheer you guys on Smile Smile Smile

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/03/2014 18:07

squizita · 05/03/2014 18:36

Saggy excited for you tomorrow. Sure it will go well! :)

Fod Boo to having the pain but nothing happening. :( Hoping things get moving!

I'm right in thinking if I have a head cold, it's just paracetamol + honey/lemon? Is Vicks rub allowed? I'm a hilarious snot monster usually - with pregnancy snot it will be epic! Grin

HopefulHamster · 05/03/2014 18:41

Just a quick delurk (sorry have just been really busy) to say GOOD LUCK Saggy!

allisgood1 · 05/03/2014 20:07

Good luck saggy for tomorrow. I really hope all goes well and Ryvita has no more complications than you are already expecting.

squiz great news on your scan!! Do you feel better about things now??

fod really hope things get moving for you soon.

My sister had her second today, a little girl :) I am relaxing a bit more now that I have got the doppler to work and can check in with bubs anytime. Have even let the girls 'talk' to their new sister. I am still feeling really shit. I went to physio today for a migraine treatment and he took one look at me and said "you're anaemic". He then told me off, said I look "very unwell" and "need to take care". I don't know what to do :( Go to dr? I am not seeing consultant until 16 weeks (3 more weeks) but I feel vile. Apparently anaemia can make you feel sick (check) and exhausted (check). I am finding things like getting up to go to the toilet very trying (I need to rest after)...I just feel so shite and can't see a way out :(

Emki · 05/03/2014 20:31

saggy good luck for tomorrow and I'll be thinking of you! thank you for all your support on this thread and the TTC thread - can't wait to hear your news tomorrow xxx

allisgood yes definitely go to the doctor -also you could call your antenatal clinic, they may have the results of your bloods which may say you are anaemic - hope you get some good rest tonight x

Penguinita · 05/03/2014 20:49

Will be thinking of you and Ryvita tomorrow Saggy, finally your turn has come X
Pixie I had obstetric cholestasis (itchy hand/foot liver thing) when I was overdue and had to be induced. Yep it went on a bit as nothing happened for over 24 hrs but it ended up being a better birth than my first and the drip isn't all that bad (to be honest by the time they started the drip I didn't really care I just wanted baby out!) x

TotalShock · 05/03/2014 23:11

Thanks guys. They thought James had a possible posterior tt but the surgeon he needed to see was away with no cover. We managed to get referred to a diff hospital yesterday a week later but they don't think he is which is great but don't know why he doesn't feed well. Gets really quite upset sometimes and feels like I'm forcing him which is upsetting. He's started to make more of an effort but now paranoid he isn't getting enough as I can't quantify it. He also dropped more than 10% and is due to be weighed again fri. Conflicted about whether to ff or does anyone know anything about combination feeding

Good luck saggy!!! Keep us posted xx

Lottystar · 05/03/2014 23:30

It's been a busy week so haven't been able to pop by much, just wanted to wish Saggy well in the induction Smile Also I hope the remaining ladies who are close to due date are not too uncomfortable x

BirdsDoIt · 06/03/2014 00:10

I haven't posted at all lately, in fact not for ages (sorry) things have been so crazily busy with work and house renovations, but wanted to pop on to say GOOD LUCK saggy - will be thinking of you tomorrow!

Angloamerican · 06/03/2014 00:12

Haven't posted in ages, but wanted to wish you all the best for tomorrow, Saggy

JBrd · 06/03/2014 00:21

Good luck, Saggy! You're nearly there, just one last (literally) push, soon you'll meet your gorgeous girl Smile

Tomkat79 · 06/03/2014 00:50

Another one who hasn't posted forever but sending you lots of good vibes for tomorrow saggy...so exciting xx

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 06/03/2014 01:07

Total there's nothing wrong with any feeding choice. It is hard to trust in your milk supply, you can't tell exact quantities and it is scary when they lose weight.
I'm all for bf, but mixing also works. Personally, if I was worried, I'd keep bf, top him up with formula and do as much as I could to encourage my milk supply, so when his tongue tie is sorted and he's gained a bit I could revert back to exclusive bf.
Try expressing after bf, so that you stimulate your supply and you can freeze the results or use it for the top ups so you can be sure of the quantities until you feel more confident and go back to just bf. Milk supply is very much the more you ask for the more you get. Also, feeding/expressing at night works on the bf hormones more than in the day apparently so also encourages supply.
I'm sure plenty of people on the bf/ff forum would have plenty to say and probably have different opinions, this is just from my experience.
Oh and discussing bf with a friend recently, it was suggested that taking fish oil supplements (like omega 3) can enrich your milk. This might be worth a bit of research.
Don't worry, if you want to bf then stick with it, you'll get there. It's often tricky but it usually comes right in the end. If it all gets too much, then switch or mix feed and don't beat yourself up about it. Your wee one will be fine whatever you choose. Smile x
