Fedup Oh no! What a nasty dream. I had similar weekly from about week 5+3 to week 11. Horrible! So draining and you end up mega knicker checking for the next few hours don't you? :( BUT as others have said it's just hormones, tiredness etc' taking its toll. Mates with no history of MC reported nasty dreams too, ghosts, being chased etc' as a symptom - must be quite common but worse if you've had losses.

My dreams are improving as my sickness ebbs away, reckon nightmares are HCG related - fx it's the same for you.

fedup sounds horrible, hugs.

lotty loads of luck for your scan.

saggy hope you're not too knackered- have you had any rest? hoping things get moving soon.

garden midwife said she would get in touch if there was cause for concern, but I probably should have called too.

Been awake since 4am worrying. Argh. You should see the stupid amounts of stuff we have to take to hospital. I've got a small suitcase and weekend bag, several pillows and my yoga ball. DH has inexplicably also managed to fill a mini suitcase with computery nonsense to keep us occupied if hanging around (ipad for scrabble, laptop and DVDs, several books...). We look like we're moving in! definitely not removing anything from the van unless they give the go ahead for the induction otherwise we will look like nutters!

Good luck saggy! hope things get moving for you!
fedup ive had those dreams too, they're terrifying and so real but isn't it pretty common to have dreams about the thing you're afraid of? Hopefully like squitz says they ease off.
Mabel welcome! I'm 8+3 and yes I totally identify, I'm a proper nutjob at the moment, I dont recognise myself! I'd like to join the October or first trimester threads but I'm too scared. We've got a private scan today and I'm bricking it, I'd much rather forget I'm pregnant until the baby arrives! Probably not the safest route though...

Mabel I had no symptoms at all until about 8 weeks, when the nausea and tiredness hit with a vengeance. So hang in there, it might still all come to you! Or it might not, every pregnancy is different.

I am still exercising (although a bit erratically at the moment due to DH being away and me feeling really sick some days), because I like it and because it keeps me sane - it helps to get rid of the tensions. If you have no medical reason not to exercise, then I think there is no reason not to, if you want to. Your body is used to it, and if you're sensible and listen to it, you will be fine! I used to run (well, jog), but haven't been for a few weeks now because I had lots of problems with toothache in the last month, which meant I literally couldn't move without pain. Now wondering if I should take it up again... Especially as the evenings are getting lighter.

Come on, Ryvita! Your mummy is waiting for you, and so are a lot of (silent) well-wishers, waving pompoms and doing Mexican waves Smile

pixie you may look like a nutter with all that stuff anyway!! Like your planning though. Have you got lots of drinks? Labour makes you crazy thirsty (as does gas and air) and I drank us and the vending machine out of cold ribena and summer fruits!

Thanks ladies. I could cope better if it had been a dream about someone trying to kill me or whatever but when it was literally my worst nightmare (minus losing either DH or DS) at the moment. Feel better the further away I get from it. I was sweaty when woke up and all. I now know it's just the hormones but I hope not prophetic in my case.

saggy hope you have consumed some more food - sounds like you need to be keeping those energy levels up!!

fedup I've got water and some lucosade (sp?) figured I could refill sports style bottles if I need to. Partly I've over packed as ended up in for ages post section last time so figure better to cover all eventualities than try and direct DH to retrieve what is needed from home!

Ruth good luck for your scan today as well Smile

Oh Fedup that's not nice but yes, def hormones. I dreamt about a plane crash last night. Not fun is it. Squiz on the other hand is leading the way with the nice dreams now -you deserve one after the nightmares you've been having!

Here with my pom poms saggy! lol at Jbrd's mexican waves.

Hi Mabel I've been under the covers with a migraine so not said hello properly yet. I'm 9 weeks today WOOHOO! Had an MMC in October last year at 10 weeks so in a very anxsty place right now. Esp as had headaches before MMC so the headache two days ago wasn't doing my nerves any favours. I have had exactly the same symptoms as last time with this pregnancy and tbh I have not liked that they felt the same in that sense. I was like you and did loose some symptoms before my MMC, I only had bleeding very close to the end and the 'missed' part was confirmed by hormones from blood tests, I've never actually had a scan (apart from the one to confirm it was all over). I felt so ill a few days ago and when I started to feel better last night I was so relieved I didn't actually panic. I have all day nausea, which I hate, but if it dies down I have to try really hard not to fret. Anyway. I check in on here a lot that helps me get by, I know I am understood and these ladies are great if you need a hand hold. Also just reading back through the thread you find people saying exactly what you feel and you feel less alone. I've tried to keep busy with anything I can. The weeks have seemed long, really have to break them down and try to have a few plans to focus on instead. My MMC was my first pregnancy and I spent plenty of occassions during this 2nd pregnancy crying because life is so unkind and I will never get to experience a pregnancy without the worry. However, I think it's important to cry those tears sometimes and be kind to yourself. I don't know if any of that helps but you are not alone and best of all today you are pregnant! May you have a very full and uneventful time of it.

Good luck with scans today ladies x

That's brave jen but you can't go round with trousers round your ankles for the next 7 months!
I'm just going with leggings and banishing my jeans to the back of the wardrobe!! My sister says she has lots of maternity stuff for me but I'm not getting it out til after an ok 12 wk scan if that happens.

Yay for contractions saggy getting closer! you've got 60 posts left on this thread to get this baby out my lovely!

Report
squizita · 07/03/2014 11:26

Fedup and Jen I'm only just feeling tight in my clothes. Might be because I wear leggings and lycra quite a lot, or the sicky days. Also, the main fatty foods I've ever eaten as an adult are sugary cider, calorie loaded starbucks and posh cheese... so being pregnant may have caused a loss of weight initially!! Shock Still, the baby was normal sized in the scan so I guess I should be grateful I can eke out my regular clothes a few more weeks.
I asked DH if I looked pregnant. He told me I "just look like you need a poo" errrm charming!

Cbeebies you're so right about that! Thinking of you saggy

Lol fedup you underestimate just how fat I am!! Great that you can get things from your sister. I can't do leggings, don't your ankles get cold?! I am glad my dresses still fit (I just look like Squiz's OH suggests). Hopefully won't need anything else until proper bump comes along, although am struggling to get massive boobs in some tops so not sure.

Anyhoo they arrived and they fit and now I can walk the dog without feeling horribly squeeeeeezed. Relief!

Squiz that made me laugh but I do hope you clocked him one!

actually, thats really scary, I remember joining this thread not long after you had the test results through and I remember thinking you weren't that far ahead of me, I used you as a mile stone setter Blush If I could just get to x weeks it'll be ok because that's where saggy is (crazy mind of a pregnant lady who's had recurrent mc!) and now here you are at the end giving birth to your baby girl! I hope all is going well Saggy and baby ryvita is giving you a cuddle soon Smile

I had my 12 week scan this morning and the baby was jiving all over the place! I was dated at 12 weeks exactly so a few days ahead of what I thought. Just relieved all looks well, the nuchal measurement was normal but waiting on my bloods now to hopefully confirm all is low risk.

Pixielady83 · 07/03/2014 15:48

That sounds good saggy! more pompom waving here for you! have also made a mental note about oramorph thanks, going to need all the help in labour I can get after my response to the godawful sweep I have had this morning (needed gas and air and everything because cervix was so far back they could barely reach it and I was climbing the walls Shock )

When they did find the cervix they did confirm it is favourable for induction... but no space today at hospital so we are booked in for Sunday now.
