brod love the purple but think the dream genii might be better as it should stop me from rolling onto my back.

bunny think I'd quite like to be a slut dropping skanky Jo-bag!! Re sickness, although I got off quite easily I still felt queasy every evening but it was resolved with eating

BlindKitty · 07/02/2014 20:57

PuppyMummy · 08/02/2014 07:21

merk I hav had to deal with 'slut drops' at school!! they r a thing!!! Grin

bunny re scans, we had one at 9 weeks which we paid for, I found it extremely reassuring.
and with sickness, I was never sick but I did feel queasy on an afternoon sometimes!

in exciting news here...
my bloody boobs r leaking!!! omg!
and baby has turned into a wriggling machine! which is v nice!

kitty our nursery furniture is arriving next week too! Exciting!

BlindKitty · 08/02/2014 08:54

Shock @ poppy's school kids doing slut drops (imagining something off my big fat gypsy wedding)

poppy how many weeks are you now? I hope my boobs hold off from leaking! It's getting harder to convince Dh into the sack as it is but that will definitely stop him!

What colour scheme etc have you gone for?

OP posts:
BlindKitty · 08/02/2014 08:55

Just re-read puppy's post!!! Sorry getting my poppy and my puppy mixed up haha! You're 24 weeks yeh?

Tallyra · 08/02/2014 09:10

should I be jealous? I'm 30w now and my boobs are just big....

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/02/2014 10:03

Tally I've got no leakage either. It was one of the things I was randomly worried about (imagining huge wet patches appearing while in a restaurant or at work etc) so I'm almost pleased to stay dry!

Tallyra · 08/02/2014 10:07

Does it mean anything? I really want to exclusively bf if I can. It doesn't mean I'll have a problem? God I hope not!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/02/2014 10:17

Nope, it means nothing so no need to worry at all

PuppyMummy · 08/02/2014 11:44

kitty they r only year 7 too! Shock Shock

for nursery we r having plain sky blue walls then hav wall stickers, big ones that make a tree with animals round bottom. so not a colour theme as such. its a room rather than nursery cos oh has what should be nursery as his office so we didn't want it too baby then it will last thru bein a toddler.

tally I wouldn't worry, its not all the time just random 'spotting'! Shock

kitty I think its finished my oh off!! ha ha doubt he will be goin near them for a while!!

PuppyMummy · 08/02/2014 11:45

oops...
nearly forgot! yes, 24 weeks today! Smile

Tallyra · 08/02/2014 13:19

I'm having a very weird day today. slept in, which was great and then took the dog for a walk but parked at the top of a huge hill. It took me an hour to get down the hill to the woods so I had to phone my mum to be rescued, I really couldn't face walking back up the hill Blush

now I'm sitting on the sofa with Zac curled up on my lap watching the hail come down, silently thanking my mum for not letting me get stuck in it, and crying uncontrollably while watching Ashley Banjo and his amazing community dance project.
A bit of a self indulgent day!!

How is everyone else today?

BlindKitty · 08/02/2014 14:32

puppy we watched a prog where the man wouldn't sleep with his heavily pregnant wife because 'he didn't want his penis so close to the baby's head' lol. Dh's face said it all!!!

tally was it you who cried over the screw fix catalogue?!? Wink

OP posts:
Tallyra · 08/02/2014 15:34

lol no it wasn't me kitty, but I do have my moments!

Bunnygirlie · 08/02/2014 16:08

Aaaaagh leaky boobs Shock

Gosh puppy when they wriggle it must be thrilling!

Crying over a screwfix catalogue?!?

Oh gawd I feel awful, it's like my IBS nausea, fun fun fun!!!!!

Obviously i've known alot of you a long while but I just wondered how long it took you lovely berries to get pg and was it natural or assisted?

Foodylicious · 08/02/2014 16:11

Managed a nice lie in too, but had to get up sharpish due to feeling sick.Nothing 3 slices of chocolated spread on toast couldn't fix though!
Having people round for dinner this evening so had to brave the supermarket on a Saturday - was not too bed except I was quite breathless by the time I was packing at the checkout and getting dizzy standing still (BP was 97/55 this week so am not surprised!)
OH was fab when I got back, got all the shopping out of the car, unpacked and put it away while I had some lunch and started to feel human again.
Going for a bit of a mexican theme for tea so enchaladas, chilli, fajitas with dips, salsa, salad etc. mmm.
Now just to get off my arse and start cooking!
Thankfully my sister is bringing cake (OH's birthday on Weds) so one thing I don't have to do.

Slight TMI - finally managed to DTD successfully for the first time since conception, woo hoo Grin! was a bit odd and uncomfy but obviously good too (or would have stopped).
Was really good just to be that close for both of us. OH has been very patient, though I have teased him that he has had most mens life-time quota of sex in the last 2 1/2 years, so he can't complain anyway!

Eeek to the leaking boobs - I thought mine were leaking weeks ago, whatever it was has stopped for now anyhow.

BlindKitty · 08/02/2014 16:41

bunny are you trying to sneak another list out of us Wink. I'm sure you know my story but I ttc for 2.5yrs, have multicystic ovaries so ovulate but eggs aren't mature because I have too many follicles all trying to do same job. So I needed iui with daily Menupur injections to mature the egg (s) and hey presto!

Bunny - yes, "morning" sickness is such a rotten description for something that can strike at all hours. Hope you're not getting it too badly. The eating little and often that they recommend is generally a very good idea - I find grazing/sipping fairly consistently does help. I also find lying down flat (after meals or when feeling nauseous) also helps a lot to settle things down. I seem to be starting to get a bit better now (week 11 in sight!) so am really hoping I'm one of the lucky ones who gets better as they get into the second trimester.

I will call them on Monday to follow up on the 12 week scan - I was only booked in a little over a week ago which might be why it is a bit late.

My ttc story is basically a little over 2 years of unexplained IF with blood tests and SA all coming back normal. I had a hycosy (like HSG but with ultrasound not xray) in October before our appointment with the consultant in November. I was sure that this appointment would see us starting IVF (had even worked out approximate dates etc!) given I was now 37 and getting rather deafened by the ticking! But the consultant said that my AMH was really good, tubes all clear etc, and that post hycosy we had a better chance of conception, so give it until January and if it hasn't worked by then, come back for IVF. I was a bit sceptical about continuing naturally as I had got it fixed in my mind it was never going to happen without assistance. But we were utterly thrilled (and somewhat stunned) to get a natural BFP just before Christmas! I really do think the hycosy made all the difference - they had to use a special tool to open up my cervix (ouch) to get the dye catheter in (double ouch), which suggests it was possibly a bit blocked before then.

Would love to know how others got here - it's so nice being able to take unqualified pleasure in an IF success story these days!

Tallyra · 08/02/2014 18:30

Well I'm a berry anomaly because conception wasn't the problem for us, keeping hold of it was. first bfp was in 2009. Cue massive sickness, hg diagnosis, medication, hospital admission, eventual discharge and just about managing to make it to 12 weeks or so we thought. baby had stopped growing at about 8. Erpc followed. it took me a year to get over the ensuing depression before we tried again. It all started again but luckily the consultant from before was on top of it and I had a dildocam at 7 or 8 weeks which confirmed the same outcome. as we were about to go on holiday she booked me in for another erpc that day. Third try happened about 6 months later and exactly the same again. I have no idea why I let myself continue after that really!
I went down the genetics checkup route and was told the genetic reason for the 3rd one was a random mutation and nothing to worry about. So we tried again. It seems to have worked this time. 30 weeks now and I'm happier than ever because I know its survivable from here on Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Bunnygirlie · 08/02/2014 22:05

Bit of brown spotting in my knickers, mind working overtime, don't think I'm going to sleep well tonight Sad

Tallyra · 08/02/2014 22:09

hugs bunny!!! it truly could be nothing. some people do spot early on for no reason. xxxxxxxx

BlindKitty · 09/02/2014 00:44

bunny fear not! Several of us had brown spotting at exactly the same time as you. Yes, I freaked out (I actually lay still for 4 hours the first day it happened. The berries and FC nurse all tried to convince me it was normal but I wouldn't listen. Finally left after about 10 days. Your scan is Monday anyway so hopefully that will put your mind at rest Brew

OP posts:
Boomgoestheweasel · 09/02/2014 11:54

bunny hope you're ok and the spotting has remained spotting. What they said ^ - most likely nothing at all. Hang on in there for your scan! Xxx

Brodicea · 09/02/2014 15:55

Hey bunny I hope everything is OK (as everyone says this isn't unusual) and that your mind is eased tomorrow at your scan xxxx

Bunnygirlie · 09/02/2014 16:39

Thanks ladies, unless it's proper red or get proper pain I shouldn't worry too much easier said than done

Roll on tomorrow!

Still feeling sick so just relaxing watching a film whilst hubby watchs rugby upstairs. I have giant buttons, cuppa tea and my feet in a foot spa. Good times Smile

Hope you are all having a good Sunday!
