Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, pregnant with #1 after trying for a loooong time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

There's no way you're a 40A Tally, whoever measured you is a nutjob. What was she measuring round for your back size, the middle of your bump??

Brod where's the new house? Ooooh exciting Grin

Puppy, qaz hope you find your glow....I wouldn't say I'm radiant but I don't feel bad. I just feel normal, but fatter!

I feel like a mean dog parent today, poor Boomdog has been puppyproofed, she's lying next to me now off her head on narcotics and snoring away, but I think when she comes round we're going to have a very sore, annoyed dog!

Nice thing that happened today, was in the supermarket and a little girl was going past with her mum and she pointed at me and said, 'look mummy, that lady's got a baby in her tummy' aaaaaah. I think I might have melted a little bit, have waited a very long time to hear something like that!

boom Xmas Smile @ the little girl. My friend's 3 year old asked me if 'I had a baby in my tummy' a few weeks ago! Scary seeing as though I'd not 'come out' at the time and her mum definitely didn't know!!! Maybe I'm fatter than I thought haha!

Aw boom and kitty that's warmed my cockles Smile the little boy next door told me 'you're going to have a baby' but that was after his mum spotted the bumpette and we were chatting. Can't wait for a proper 'spot'!

The place is in Chapel Allerton - where we said we probably wouldn't live as DH felt weird going back to where he grew up. But the house was so nice, and the area has changed so much he reckons it'll be fine (I wasn't even browsing that area, but he spotted the house and liked the direct neighbourhood). We did debate it for a long time, but he was fairly certain it would be OK. I think he's a bit nervous as he has a whole swathe of extended family he hasn't really known (parents divorced when he was v little) who he might have to consider reconnecting with.

Poor boom dog!

Scary Qaz but exciting too!
Overnight my skin has given up and I've got a load of purple stretch marks on my boobs. Humph

qaz it's funny how superstitious ttc/pregnancy makes us isn't it? I was never superstitious before but so know what you mean now!

merk stretch marks? Thought us over 30s weren't meant to get them so bad?! I feel conned!

thunder lol @ the doppler getting booted! The baby was clearly getting annoyed being prodded!!!

Oo lovely qaz!

merk not cool about the SM. I have some tiny pink marks on one hip- not sure if they are stretch marks. Keeping a very close eye on the belly and boobs.

How's the breathing?

Yeah kitty she said they often react to the doppler as they can hear it and may even feel it as it gives off heat? Baby properly moved the pointy thingy wotsit with a big boot though. Loved it.

One of my colleagues has one of those "psychic" children, every time i am pregnant she goes "Mam, when is qazxc having her baby?", colleague says "err, she's not having a baby", only to get a disappointed head shake and Hmm face "ah come on mam".

Another of my colleagues (let's call her sheila) volunteers with special needs children, she was 7 months with her DD.
A liitle boy comes up and says "Sheila, you've got fat!
Sheila: no darling i'm having a baby, it's growing in my tummy.
little boy: EEEEWWWW That's Disgusting!!!! (and then went round telling everyone. )
We were all trying very hard not to laugh out loud.

Dashing in with blindfold on just in case! I'm around, just contemplating heading to bed to try to sleep. Breathing the same, and happening much more often too
Also I seem to have a put a fair bit of weight on on my legs and hips - can't get a pair of baggy (pre pregnancy) jiggers over my thighs tonight. Is it just me being a porker courtesy of eating everything in sight?

Thunderpantsarego · 10/12/2013 21:35

You are storing up breast feeding supplies my lovely. Sorry about the breathing though. Any more info from the doc?

Doc is tomorrow. Jiggers are joggers in case anybody was wonderingGrin
How's you? Everyone else ok?

Report
Thunderpantsarego · 10/12/2013 21:46

Oh I like a comfy pair of jiggers...!

I'm good thank you, definitely feeling well now although with weird pains and symptoms that sneak up out of nowhere. Nothing as uncomfortable as you though you poor bean.

Third trimester next week- can you believe it?!

Tallyra · 10/12/2013 22:57

hiya, nice to hear about your booty babby thunder!
merk I'm sorry your breathing is still difficult, hope doctor comes up with something tomorrow.
I don't have stretch marks yet but I have been getting evening stitches and although I get the need to breathe deeply to satisfy a feeling, the stitch is so painful I end up gasping mid breath.

Morning chaps!

Missed all of Naked Tuesday, was at work... Although am currently wandering around the house in the buff looking for clean socks. Shouldn't leave the husband to do the laundry.

brod ooh Chapel Apple! Not far at all from me, I might have to stalk you!

merk bummer about the SMs. I'm awaiting mine, so far so good but then I'm 'prestretched' from my larger days so already covered in the buggers anyway, a few more here or there will make no difference! Sorry your breathing is still bad, hope the doc can help today.

qaz ooh exciting and what a lovely way to announce! I felt like I'd jinxed us the minute we told people, whoever said pregnancy makes you superstitious was totally right we won't go into my crazy issues relating to magpies and certain songs on the radio

Nothing to report here, having an entirely incident-free pregnancy so far. Still no movements (grrr) and am resigning myself to the idea that I'm unlikely to feel much for most of the pregnancy Xmas Sad , but on the bright side I've so far avoided all the nasty pregnancy symptoms (haemorrhoids, heartburn, sciatica) that my mummy friends so delight in telling me I'll get! Off to see the consultant today, although think it's still just a routine bp-dopple-wee dip rather than anything exciting.

thunder third trimester! Oh my word!!

Well that was the least exciting appointment ever. 50 minutes late so some registrar who got my name wrong could tell me she'd see me in 4 weeks time! Didn't even get doppled, healthcare assistant did my wee, bp and fbc before I went in so all in all I think I had two minutes in her company. I'd be ashamed of being so skimpy in my care, maybe I have unreasonably high standards?

Hah thunder I'm not sure tempting fate would be a good idea, you know the minute I changed it those haemorrhoids would make an appearance!

Kitty plenty of time for your kitten to start booting you! The reg seemed a bit nonplussed when I said I couldn't feel anything, I could see her wanting to tick the 'fetal movements felt' box and I went and spoilt it Grin

Morning all, another random moan from me. Just coming out of the fug of a 48 hour headache. Hardly any sleep for 3 days and stressed about taking time off work.

I made it back last week (well, working from home mostly) after 3 weeks off for nausea and now I get this crushing headache. I know I'm not supposed be judged at work for it but it doesn't work like that in practice.

Anyway, 12 weeeks and nuchal scan tomorrow so at least I can sort of look forward to that, although it's tinged with worry.

Have you had yours yet qaz?
