Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, pregnant with #1 after trying for a loooong time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

Aw Boom poor you. I fell over on the way home from the supermarket the other day and managed to bruise my knees and elbows. Looking good last night!

Hi guys! Just checking in after the berry meet up! They are all lovely and are in fact, real people!

thunder I especially enjoyed your physio story! Oh and she got chatted up berries!

merk thunder says I should I shouldn't tell you the sex of our baby after the scan and just show you the pic and see if you get it right! You feeling any better?

merk boom what is it with these toppling berries? You're babies must just be getting nice and big and making you lose your balance!

kat so glad you're feeling happier. We've all got lots if hormones rushing round our bodies. It's only understandable that sometimes they make us feel crap sometimes. Hopefully, you can start to bond better now Xmas Smile

Right, after all that rubbish I ate yesterday I feel like I need some yoga and healthy food today!

Morning!
Kit so glad you are feeling better, if full of cold
Blind I am up for the photo challenge on your scan. Btw is Atilla a brooker? I just got a little frustrated with some advice on OPKs she had given on another thread.
Puppy is your 20 week scan early Jan then? Xmas should make time go faster for anybody waiting for appointments in the New Year
Feeling a bit better this morning but its on and off again so who knows how it will be this afternoon. Have a day of canapé making/testing planned in the kitchen so hopefully will stay away today.

BlindKitty · 08/12/2013 10:15

puppy in brum. Went to the horrendously busy german markets and for dinner later. I'll be more on the ball about your 20 week scan as it will prob fall same week as mine as mine has been delayed a week due to new year... Xmas Wink

qaz not that first trimester was particularly traumatic for me, second is even easier! Hopefully will get better for you very soon!

merk not sure about atilia. The name rings a bell but not sure she's a regular on there. Although I've hardly been on there lately so she might be now. Why, what did she say?

Nothing terrible! Just advised somebody who was asking why they hadn't had a peak on an OPK this month to throw the OPKs in the bin. It pissed me off as IMO OPKs are v helpful for lots of new ttcers. Can you tell I'm grumpy and hormonal? Grin

Tallyra · 08/12/2013 12:18

qaz it does get better. everyone is different but my bedridden sickness went at about 14 weeks and now I'm all good. you will feel better soon xxx

Report
BlindKitty · 08/12/2013 13:24

merk wish I'd thrown mine in the bin. Dread to think about how much cash I wasted when I wasn't even ovulating anyway in the end lol. Can see how they can help others though

kat totally agree that's good advice for newbies but once you loathe the very thought of 'seriously, more baby making sex?!', then timed conception is useful! Xmas Wink

Yeah opks were great for me- absolutely no chance whatsoever of dtd eod for 3 weeks!

Report
Boomgoestheweasel · 08/12/2013 21:10

Useless for me, but then I wasn't a natural ovulator! On the other hand, I only knew I wasn't ovulating because of them, which is how I ended up demanding a PCOS diagnosis, so actually they were pretty vital to the whole process...

does anyone have any bra advice? I went to m+s and got measured the other day, they came out at 40A. They didn't have anything in that size but they had a really nice 40B set that was huge on me. Should I wait a bit or buy that set, or try elsewhere? It's a silly size that o don't think anyone will stock. But as I'm only 21 weeks, is it likely I'll continue to change and maybe grow into a more popular size?

Report
CatsCantFlyFast · 08/12/2013 21:58

Tally my advice is generally M&S are crap at bra sizes. I'd be really surprised if that's your correct size. Have you a tape measure?

Report
CatsCantFlyFast · 08/12/2013 22:03

I'm going to hazard a guess you're not 40 inches round your chest... In which case they've used the old add 4 inches measuring technique which is always wrong!

Report
Tallyra · 08/12/2013 22:35

I can measure myself when I get out of the bath. I've been looking online and it doesn't look like its a real size, no one stocks it. but the back size felt pretty good, so we'll see what I get in a bit.

Report
Tallyra · 08/12/2013 22:36

yes, 40 surprised me as I'm usually a 34 or 36

Report
CatsCantFlyFast · 08/12/2013 22:54

You need two measurements... Under boob and overboob. Do the overboob bent double at the waist and don't squish them as you measure. The underboob is your back size (if between sizes go up an inch) and the number of inches difference between the two measurements is the cup... 1 = A, 2 = B, 3 = C, 4 = D, 5 = DD etc etc
Then try that plus the sizes either side as different brands do vary a bit in size.
I would expect you'll come out a more usual size and should therefore be able to pick up some cheap/sale bras. You'll def need measuring for nursing bras towards the end but its impossible to know if you'll grow between now and then... Mine stopped about 4 weeks ago thank god

Hey all, just popping into the copter to see how y'all are doing: been up in the North looking at houses to rent for the last few days! Found a proper house and put down a holding deposit - it's getting real now!

Funky edd 28th July 2014 (hopefully). Bfp cycle 12 (mc cycle 8)
Boom edd 20 April 2014 (twins). Just had 20wk scan, next scan 24 weeks
kitty 16+1 edd 22nd may 2014. Bfp cycle 26. Awaiting cheeky Xmas scan 22nd dec
Tallyra, 21 weeks, edd 17th April, having a little girl (although you are the only people we have told!!)
Thunder 25 weeks edd 20 March, (team ?)
Merk edd 21 March, team pink, totally incompatible with pregnancy
Angelina edd 26th June, 11+0, 12 wk scan next Thurs
Puppymummy 15 weeks edd 31st May 2014
Brodicea 19 weeks exactly, EDD 5th May 2014, 20 week scan on 19th December!

40 is an odd one, but I am no expert! I've always been too scared to get measured in case they tell me I'm an AAAAAA

Sorry to hear about all the toppling, maybe it's the large boobs..

tally agree you defo need a second opinion. Sounds strange you'd go down a cup size being pregnant.

brod how exciting re house hunting?! Hopefully you'll be in when the little one comes along

puppy guess yours has been out back caeca use of new year too? We've booked a private one for 18+5 because we're control freaks and can't bear to wait like everyone else

boom I wasn't ovulating properly but still got a positive every month, making it even more confusing to me!
