Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, pregnant with #1 after trying for a loooong time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

So is high as worrying as low, merk? Because 1.59 is further from mean than 0.61.

I think if you are worried then get it checked out- if it will make you feel better?

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/01/2014 19:43

Google says no evidence of link between high Papp-a and any issues

Just had big hormonal fall out with OH. He was supposed to leave work at an agreed time to get home, then we were both going out with friends. He left half an hour late, resulting in him being on the same train as friends. This meant he couldn't come home first (as I didn't want to invite them in due to packing chaos and general mess) so he couldn't help me put on shoes or give me a lift in the car. Cue me having a meltdown. Am now in house alone with no food (fridge/freezer/cupboards emptied for house move) while he is out for dinner. Bloody hormones. However it drives me nuts he is late all of the time

BlindKitty · 08/01/2014 21:20

Oh dear merk, maybe oh can bring you some take-out back? My friend told me she had pregnancy rage so bad she tried to get out of a moving car! Our dhs really should know better than to anger us!

Got inspired by boom's pregnancy massage (even though she didn't have one in the end. Booked one for next week although a tad expensive at £95 and in the same breath I told Dh we need to start shopping at aldi

Thunderpantsarego · 08/01/2014 21:50

Oh merk that's pants. And very understandable that you are upset. And not good you can't put your shoes on my lovely. Couldn't he have at least nipped back to pick you up and meet you there?

I've had a few hormonal outbursts which we've both laughed at later on and some that we will never laugh at the latest one was me getting in a huff about DH liking washer-driers. FFS.

kitty ace work with the massage. I also have a pamper on the cards- very very rare for me. Got a voucher for our local beauty place for Christmas and they do a 2 hour pamper session for mums to be for £50 - I'm hoping to book in when I have the rest of the day to totally chill out. Ahhhhh

Just popping in to keep you lot on my active list Grin
Loving the thunder-plunger-sniffing scenario and merk-above-crotch-cm problem GrinGrin
You two are next on to the dark side unless boom overtakes you?!

BlindKitty · 09/01/2014 07:17

kat that's crazy re work! Should really count my blessings for working in the nhs!

Thunderpantsarego · 09/01/2014 08:01

kat, well the pamper might be rubbish, I'll report back!
Unbelievable about your work, that's so crap for you. I guess you're self employed which means you can't kick up a fuss about this either?

What's high PI?

Hi lol! Yeah I reckon merk and boom will go before me...

BlearyeyedLol · 09/01/2014 09:16

Kat is there nothing to protect you against discrimination when you are self employed????
I work in a big company and if anyone did that to me I would have a field day in tribunal and never have to go back to work after a pay out GrinGrin

How you feeling thund?? Still freaking out??

Thunderpantsarego · 09/01/2014 09:24

Freaking out lol? Moi?
Nope, I'm back in denial land again so it's not really going to happen. Thank goodness for that....

How are you?

BlearyeyedLol · 09/01/2014 09:42

Aw bless you. It's such a shame you have not enjoyed being pg- although to be fair neither did I!!!
I'm good thanks. Going home next week and am kind of ready really. It's been lovely but I miss my bed Grin

Middle of the night post Shock
Recovered from hormonal meltdown at DH and apologised
The on again off again house move which had previously been off for a couple of weeks suddenly came back on this morning. Too late for removals men to pack as planned so I have spent the entire day packing. More to do yet, as well as cleaning. Legs/feet/back are killing me and keeping me firmly awake so decided to give up and have a soak in the bath. Unfortunately house move timing means we are likely to miss our first NCT class this weekend, but in the scheme of the house purchase falling through vs 6 hours of NCT which you will all be able to tell me about anyway I figure its not a big deal.
Also saw GP again today as still waiting on the referral. Off work again for another 2 weeks while they chase. And had my whooping cough... The nurse basically threw the needle at my arm like a dart! I was Shock and now my arm is v sore. Anyway for those dreading the anti d I found the whooping cough one worse but only due to crazy nurse

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/01/2014 04:30

Snort.. Reading a serious thread in relationships about a woman who doesn't like her husband going 'down south' (her words, not mine) and somebody posted something about a guy getting his foreskin trapped in his zip. Entirely none relevant, and i was ShockHmmConfused but it turns out she had posted on the wrong thread. Just had me rolling with laughter in the bath, love it when people post in the wrong place

PuppyMummy · 10/01/2014 06:58

merk I read that thread. Thought ppl were being a bit mean to her. the mis-post was amusing though!

are you in the bath at 4.30am?! thats some packing mission! take it easy, dont overdo things!

20 weeks tomoro here! bump expanding nicely and feeling some twitches, although oh can't feel them on the outside yet!

Thunderpantsarego · 10/01/2014 07:09

kat sadly no, my denial land is mostly one of weariness after having felt ill for the majority of 14 months + fear after mmc and now being able to visualise stillbirth far more easily than a real healthy baby arriving. It's more about me 'knowing' now that I'm going to have to pack away and give back all the baby stuff we've been lent and it never get used. And I still say things like- if we can't have children I think I might get a horse...

I would rather be on the warm gentle place you describe, yes please!

Thank you for explaining about the PI stuff. I'd never heard of it before - we learn so much in pregnancy eh?! Like you say it sounds like hour body is coping just fine though, which is great.

merk you poor thing and your poor body. How bloody annoying that you're being faffed around so much with this house. But good that it's back on again. Soon you'll be in and it'll be great.

lol I'm glad all is well, but know that just want to get back to my own bed feeling. It'll feel lovely when you climb back in for the first time and then you'll remember that the weather here comes as part of the package

BlindKitty · 10/01/2014 07:10

puppy this little girl wriggles loads...until Dh tries to feel her! He has felt her once or twice though but so he should given the amount he's tried

merk really hope you're in bed now!! Is it worth mentioning your move to the nct to see if they'll offer you an alternative date? You do have a plausible excuse.

Thunderpantsarego · 10/01/2014 07:30

20 weeks puppy! Lovely milestone.

Yeah I second kitty's suggestion merk, weren't you on an earlier course than you could have been anyway? Althobi have a feeling there was a reason for that...

Can we get Mr Thunder to take a photo of Thunder's Shock face when she gives birth to a screaming baby?? Grin
I'm not going to try to reassure you Thunder as I'm pretty sure its something only having your baby will help with. But I understand. Stay on the nice warm denial beach, its not doing any harm!

BlearyeyedLol · 10/01/2014 10:25

Thunder you and I are so alike it's scary. I also used to have nightmares about coming from hospital with no baby and having to pack away all her stuff and sell everything on eBay Confused
All you can do is pay attention to the kicks and run to hospital at any change even if you feel you are being silly. And then count down the days. How many weeks are you now??? I can't wait for you to send me a message saying "help!!! I have a baby!!!! How did that happen????"Grin

Tallyra · 10/01/2014 10:49

Ladies that are in need of a rugged buggy and car seat... Take a look at mothercare, search for xtreme leopard... I'm about to get one for 160 quid..... It looks very good for countryside type walking, which we will do a lot of. I can't seem to find any reviews though. We looked at it the other day and dh fiddled with all the bits and declared it seemed of very good construction. it should last til baby is nearly 3!

Thunderpantsarego · 10/01/2014 10:53

Thanks guys, I'm ok really, don't mean to be melodramatic but perhaps it explains why I can't buy things for this baby until it's here and real. Like lol says I can picture having to pack things away again after returning home empty handed and I couldn't bear to do that with things we'd bought.

I had a weird moment of positivity the other day when I realised I might actually end up with a baby hence freaking out (in a good way) to lol!

30 weeks now lol and yeah you're all right, I'm going to get such a shock if it works out ok!

Tallyra · 10/01/2014 18:03

sorry Thunder, I didn't mean to be insensitive sales person, just posted quickly at lunch without reading. I'm so sorry you're having trouble still. I still have trouble believing it all as well. Moving bubby aside, it still doesn't change much else apart from being so tired, which could be just a bug...

BlindKitty · 10/01/2014 18:15

thunder it WILL work out ok! Know I don't know how you feel as such but you've only 10 weeks left now so you better get used to it missy! Grin
