kitty jealous of moving baby! Envy I want mine to move! I think I can occasionally feel a bit of a twitch but im not convinced! 18 weeks so possibly still a little early.

I haven't done any baby shopping yet! dont dare til after 20 week scan! Have bought a couple of toys and hav some stuff sil gave us but thats it!

BlearyeyedLol · 30/12/2013 13:49

Puppy I also waited until after 20 week scan to buy stuff and have never stopped since
How u feeling merk??
Innit thunder!!!! 30 weeks?! WowGrin

Thunderpantsarego · 30/12/2013 13:55

merk it's at 2.30. Do you mean you're awaiting the update from me? When I first read your message I was wondering if you'd tapped into some more research that says it doesn't work...?!

I'm still too superstitious to do baby shopping now. Maybe at 37 weeks? Do I need a big wang?

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/12/2013 14:18

Yes update from you re how much it hurts!
I'm surviving on a day to day basis now, bump much bigger, and moving quite painful. Breathing no better (grumble grumble Grin)

BlearyeyedLol · 30/12/2013 14:32

Thunder you so need a wang my friend!!! If this baby is early it will leave the hospital naked or your poor dh will have to rush somewhere to get something!!! I think Nhs guidelines say your hospital bag should be packed at 34 or 36?? Boom? Am I right???
So 37 weeks is a tad late in my opinion. I think I might post you a baby grow just in case GrinGrin

Thunderpantsarego · 30/12/2013 15:54

OWWWW!!!! Shock Shock Shock

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/12/2013 15:55

Crap, I was hoping you would say it didn't hurt Shock
Everything else ok?

Thunderpantsarego · 30/12/2013 16:01

Not really, it was absolutely fine. She took blood too - apparently it's for iron levels. The jab was just like any jab- not painful, just felt a bit hot during it, and she said I might get tingly/ sensitive arm after but I can't feel any difference.

Everything else fine, bump is right on track just below average and when asked her gender prediction she said 'this time- girl'. She was doing it based on heart rate, after which she said she is right 50% of the time Wink

lol ok I'll consider getting prepared a bit earlier, we do have a big bag of hand me down baby clothes which I won't look at right now, so it's not a total emergency. If it's early then I'm sure my mum will sort something out for us Blush

PuppyMummy · 30/12/2013 17:07

thunder ha ha!
I hav to hav the anti-d injection too. Thought it went in your hip?!

isnt it unusual to hav rhesus neg blood? but lots of us berries hav it!

I was reading that o neg blood can make it more difficult to concieve (cant remember why) but seem to remember it fitted with me. Interesting!

Thunderpantsarego · 30/12/2013 17:31

No just in upper arm puppy, no biggy at all really. I'm afraid I don't know much more about blood types, only that in the near future they'll be able to tell the baby's blood type from mum's blood test so if they confirm you are also carrying a rhesus negative baby then we won't need any anti-D!

BlindKitty · 30/12/2013 18:25

thunder not until 8th boo! Got to have extra scans on my cervix due to previous treatment so praying they will be ok. Otherwise can't go to to the mlu

Sure I'll take this back ins few weeks but I'm loving being preggers! Especially now I'm showing and getting lots of fuss and attention from everyone

BlindKitty · 30/12/2013 18:44

puppy you're only a week behind me so its bound to happen soon!

Lol@ lol! Imagining thunder's baby girl going home in lost property!

So my friend brought her baby round earlier. Very cute and hardly cried but couldn't persuade Dh to hold her...slightly worrying Xmas Hmm

PuppyMummy · 30/12/2013 19:58

kitty I dont 'do' other peoples kids! (I teach secondary and am fine with them!)

I just dont do little ones, I just can't take to them! im really not a baby fan either!

I wouldnt worry about your dh at all, I am very happy to be having a baby that is me and oh. I feel like I will be fine with my own child! your dh might feel something similar.

BlindKitty · 30/12/2013 20:08

puppy yeh I think you're prob right. A few of his mates are having babies before us so maybe he'll be more interested in them. The cat's response was funny! She was very inquisitive even though she's blind!

CharmingCats · 30/12/2013 22:40

Belated merry Christmas and premature happy new year!
Please tell me, when does the boob pain stop? Got some got mat bras now, but still very sore.
Getting flu jab tomorrow. Did anyone else?

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/12/2013 23:13

Think we've all had the flu jab charming. I can't help with the boob pain as I've not had any... Mine grew like mad but didn't hurt

Thunderpantsarego · 30/12/2013 23:27

I haven't had the flu jab. Off for whooping cough on thurs and then blood test next week too. Can't get enough if needles, me.

Good to see you charming. I had bad boob pain lady pregnancy, not so bad this time although it does se to come and go a bit. How far along are you now?

I'll let you know on thurs kat if this one hurts or not! I think hurty boobs are often early on, but I'm sure anything can happen at any point really.

Heh, kitty strikes again! What are you like!

Hello charming! My boobs aren't sore, my nipples hurt like mad in the cold but actual boobage is fine. I'm going to have to admit defeat and go and buy an f-cup today though Shock

Flu jab made my arm ache for a day or so but not badly.

kitty Mr Boom is also reluctant/terrified of holding small babies. I think babies bore him and are too small and delicate, he's scared he'll drop them. He likes toddlers once their personalities have appeared and he can play with them though!

Thunderpantsarego · 31/12/2013 08:08

Smile kitty

Oh yes the DH baby thing- mine will hold other peoples but he's not bothered and I'm like puppy, not that crazy about em either. Our own, however, will be another matter! although DH is petrified I think

CharmingCats · 31/12/2013 09:34

Thanks berries. All done now, arm a bit sore, but nothing else. kitty we'll have to stage some kind of intervention if you carry on! Wink
I'm 8+4 today, so still quite early. The mat bras help, but all this Xmas hugging is horrible! Poor DH gets squeaked at a lot!
How's your breathing merk ? Can they do anything for you?
Interested to see that quite a few of you are going for NCT. I think we will too, but am a bit nervous about the group of women afterwards, you know, comparing everything! Which course have you gone for, signature or essentials?
