Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, pregnant with #1 after trying for a loooong time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

Thanks Smile Imogen is a lovely name: I have a good friend whose daughter is called Imogen.
After much discsussion DH and I have two female name contenders at the highest rank at the moment, Frida Josephine or Astrid Josephine (I like my Scandinavian names!).... I kind of want to see when she gets here: Frida seems like a dark haired name and Astrid is blonde and in our family it could go either way....

BlindKitty · 19/12/2013 18:47

brod fab news! Can I ask what you 'thought' you were having or did you not know?

Hope my little bump plays ball on sun as we only have a 10 minute appointment!!!

Brodicea · 19/12/2013 19:58

I really thought it was a boy Blush and have even started calling her a him!

kitty Maybe have a little snack or some tea before hand so they're awake enough to be cajoled! Good luck on Sunday.

Thanks for the heads up puppy I'm feeling a bit giddy which always makes me shop.

Brodicea · 19/12/2013 19:58

Had not have!

BlindKitty · 19/12/2013 20:10

brod me too!!! I'll laugh if I'm also having a girl now!!! It's in the morning anyway so I'll have had breakfast. Are you suggesting I have...caffeine??

Thunderpantsarego · 19/12/2013 20:26

I can't leave the house without caffeine! It's the only thing that stands a chance of shifting the headache...

Brodicea · 19/12/2013 21:01

The sonographer suggested it, and I was a bit surprised but up to four cups of normal breakfast tea is OK so I do have one or two each day Smile

I read Expecting Better and reckon that regularly having above the recommended amount is when it might get tricky… also I have been a bit more lax since passing the first trimester I must say!

BlindKitty · 19/12/2013 22:09

I'm only kidding. I'm more relaxed now I'm in my second trimester. In the first trimester I'd have been horrified at the thought Xmas Grin

PuppyMummy · 20/12/2013 05:55

kitty brod I call mine 'him' too. Most other ppl including oh and my mum think its a girl!!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 20/12/2013 06:28

Urgh awake from 1.30 to 4.30 with breathing and insomnia and up at 5.30 to drive to Cornwall to collect the new car. Not feeling on top of the world this morning!
Had a huge wardrobe clear out yesterday (packed away all clothes that no longer fit, ready for house move) and can't find the dress I bought but didn't want anywhere. However my new dresses arrived and all seem nice so at least I have something to wear for Xmas/new year

BlindKitty · 20/12/2013 07:04

merk I've had a s£&@night's sleep too but not because if any ailment...just a drunken husband and his friend! Xmas Angry. He WILL make this up to me...

Boomgoestheweasel · 20/12/2013 08:55

Morning all!

Feeling on the brink of total exhaustion today, have a day off but so much to do and not enough time, then back to work tomorrow Xmas Sad need a break! Yesterday was graduation which was nice but stressful, feel like I haven't sat down with time to myself at all this week. Sorry, having a right grumble this morning!

brod lovely news about your little lady! I have tea all the time at work. Keep meaning to bring in decaf but forgetting..my reasoning is that I never actually finish a cup so it hardly counts!

kitty we're pink-heavy in here, you need to bring glad tidings of a boychild! (note: I'm joking, a girl would be equally lovely of course Xmas Grin)

Right, off to supermarket and then making Florentines..nom nom

Boo for you merk I hope it's a fairly relaxed day.

Also for you boom sounds like a hectic one!

Christmas is always surprisingly hectic and tiring it seems.

It's my last day in the place I have worked in for nine years, which is bizarre. Up North for Xmas, back down to move, and then up North again permantly! How is your house move going merk?

CatsCantFlyFast · 20/12/2013 14:11

We move 2nd week of jan so have all that to look forward to after Xmas

Thunderpantsarego · 20/12/2013 14:36

Hi all. I am also feeling the December exhaustion. So tired yesterday I actually wept a bit. How pathetic.

We're buying a house at the mo- keeping it nice and tight for moving in time for the arrival!

brod nine years? That must feel so strange. Exciting times ahead though, woo! There's a lot of change ahead eh.

merk sorry to hear about your bad night. Guess that partially answers our questions about how the breathing is doing. Would be great to hear where you're up to with getting to the bottom of it though.

Thunderpantsarego · 20/12/2013 14:37

Ps yes please to Florentines boom

Boomgoestheweasel · 20/12/2013 14:40

Having a huff, bloody florentines didn't work. Bollocks.

OP posts:
Boomgoestheweasel · 20/12/2013 19:54

In a slightly better mood. Husband has forcibly removed me from the kitchen and deposited me in the bath. Managed to salvage some of the florentines so he had something to take to work for secret santa. And I appear to have had two years' worth of tax rebate, meaning that I've been paid nearly double what I was expecting this month!

Thunder sorry you're feeling the fatigue too. I'm absolutely wiped out, my friend came round to give me a card earlier and said, 'bloody hell, you look like crap'...er thanks!

Merk hope you're feeling better, any advance on a solution to this breathing of yours?

Qaz sorry, didn't mean to ignore your lovely news about alien baby earlier. How nice to have that reassurance before Christmas!

Hello. Got room for me?
Had a scan at the EPU today as I've had pericarditis and they wanted me to get checked out after taking ibuprofen. Saw it flicker. Been on a high all day. All impressed that we managed it on the first clomid cycle. Edd 8th august, so am 6-7 weeks. The irony of being a teacher with an august baby is not lost on me.
Was sick for the first time this eve. Been feeling queasy up to now, but the acupressure wristbands had helped until today. Grrrr. Ok now though.

Boomgoestheweasel · 20/12/2013 21:05

Helloooo charming there you are! Come in, come in, I'd just killed the thread with all my whining so nice to have company! Sickness is a double edged sword, when it's happening it's crap and when it's not you wish you were feeling pants...

Would you like a wonky florentine or does that make you feel worse? Xmas Biscuit
