purple I've had spotting in this pregnancy but everything was ok at 12 week scan last friday. I had two early scans at the EPU as well. If it's still there tomorrow ring your midwife, GP or EPU.

I think going through MC makes you into a worrier even if you weren't before.

Angloamerican · 10/01/2014 00:51

Christine I had an ultrasound in my due date with my son. Cue a very panicked midwife - baby was estimated at 11lb 6oz. I was induced the next day (I declined an offer if a C section) and gave birth vaginally with no interventions. He was (only) 10lbs. Fret not!

pumpkinsweetie · 10/01/2014 06:16

Many thanks for all the well wishes and congratulations on baby pumpkinSmile. So happy she is finally here.

The labour was alot longer than expected, as my previous births were much shorter in comparision and my waters went before anything kicked off taking me by surprise & luckily my onsie saved my bed, as i woke up straight away and ran to the looGrin

After 2 days of being overdue, a midnight trip to hospital in labour & drip to make my labour progress & a quick pushing stage, she was here Smile all 6lb 4 of her. Was so suprised she was so tiny after having a growth scan 4 1/2 weeks previous stating she was already 5 1/2lb. Was expecting her to weigh more after being told i measure large & my bump was so big!!!

After a nights stay & a day in hospital having our obs observed (sprom 24 hrs before labour ) we could finally go home. Once she was in her carseat ready to go home, i couldn't believe it she is here & all mineSmile. My last baby, going to really enjoy being a mum for the 5th time and her sisters are overjoyed. Her name is SapphireSmile

Thankyou everyone, especially in the early days for re-assuring me when i thought things would go wrong and i hope you all go on to have uneventful pregnancies & bouncy babies.
Will be checking in from time to time to see all you regulars, get pushed to the top and have your babasSmile

Goodluck Christine not long now!!! Don't worry about the growth scan, it isn't accurate, think baby can be 1lb out either way!

Goodluck to all others approaching due dates & reaching your 12/20/24 weeks milestonesSmile and also to you all in those nerve racking early weeks, hope 2014 is the year for you allSmile

pumpkinsweetie · 10/01/2014 06:17

And also a huge congrats to santa on your baby boy, hope you are enjoying scrummy newborn cuddles Smile

Cybercat · 10/01/2014 07:30

This talk of 10lb babies is making my eyes water!

Purple37 · 10/01/2014 07:49

Hi all, thanks for your reassurances.

Went to out of hours doc last night who tested my urine which was positive for pregnancy, had slight traces of blood in but was negative for infection. Spotting then stopped overnight but have just had a little tiny bit now. Am tying myself in knots because no one can tell me one way or the other. She said epu wouldn't scan til 6 weeks anyway so told me signs for ectopic ( none of which i've got) and told me to rest today.

I did a cb digi on 30th Dec which said 1-2 so by now it should give me 2-3, is it worth getting one then at least I have some idea do you think?

pumpkin, your message has me trying not to weep on the train. it is so lovely to hear of good news at the end of a roller coaster. enjoy your time with your Sapphire.

Purple, I think most people on here would say step away from the tests. Your GP tested your urine last night so another test probably isn't going to tell you anything more. I say save the money and spend it on an early scan at 8 weeks or so when you can see the wiggle. I know that is easier said than done. Try to focus on something else, I find knitting in front of the telly is a good distraction!

I had a very strange sensation when I went off to bed last night. My heart seemed to be pounding so much it made me feel a bit sick. I had to get up on all fours to make the feeling go away. it wasn't fast it irregular just really big, ifkwim! anyone else had that?

ChristineDaae · 10/01/2014 09:13

Hi ladies.... Most mortifying post ever but either baby kicked me in the bladder this morning while I was sleeping and I peed... Or my waters have gone. Off the hospital to check Blush
Will be so horrified if its just pee as iv had to tell my fiancé (he's at work - heads up in case it was waters) and my Dbro (he's on babysitting duty for DD)
Fingers crossed please all that its not pee!!

Goodluck christineSmile this could be it!!! Especially if it is still trickling uncontrollably eek xx

kjh5 · 10/01/2014 10:50

Ooh GO CHRISTINE!!! > :)

All these babies arriving - so terribly exciting! Loved your post pumpkin makes me realise all this pain and discomfort at the moment is totally worth it. Although think the stress of having to struggle through work is getting to me. Had an awful involved nightmare the baby was born too early and didn't make it. Woke up sobbing uncontrollably until the sproglet kicked and I realised he is actually fine in there. Really need to get a handle on these nightmares!!

pgchimp I've had the same issue with my heart. I think its just trying to keep up with pumping all the extra blood around. I'm seeing my GP today for a mat appt so might ask her about it.

Kat your post about your doggie made me smile. We have a very overactive 8-month-old kitten here who drives me insane. But if he is outside for longer than an hour or so I miss him and call him in for cuddles. Yesterday he was playing with my jumping bump. The baby was kicking and he was trying to 'catch' the kicks with his paws. Was very funny.

MissMedusa · 10/01/2014 11:18

Very exciting Christine

ChristineDaae · 10/01/2014 11:26

So I'm home after a pretty confusing hour at the hospital.
It apparently could have been 'back' waters? But if so they aren't too concerned, or I have an infection so could have been discharge. Didn't even ask to see the pad (I thought that was the first thing they did? I did tell her I had it with me) and I'm still leaking slowly.... I'm confused. Lets just hope contractions start soon so I know what's going on....

WhatWillSantaBring · 10/01/2014 12:19

Sounds like your waters Christine! Did they ask you to come back in 24/48 hours? Fingers crossed Grin

Congrats to pumpkin.

Alb1 · 10/01/2014 12:34

I'm getting worried about this pregnancy again. We saw the hb on Monday n it measured around 6 weeks which was about right. An I'v been suffering with severe ibs giving me horrible stomach and back pain n then yesterday my pg symptoms have subsided as has the ibs n instead I spent all yesterday evening n last night with all new severe back and stomach ache, no bleeding or anything yet tho, it's so confusing, but I can't go back for a scan cos I had one on Monday, n the doc said he can't do anythin about ibs or anythin, jus to come back in a week to 'track' the symptoms...

Ooo hope this is it for you Christine!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 10/01/2014 13:09

Alb we've all been there. The medics are right though. Only time will tell. its just that every day seems like a year in the beginning. If you have IBS is probably that. You have loads of hormones and extra blood pumping round, its bound to aggravate things.
No blood is THE BEST sign. Hang in there, it's not done yet. xx

Hi all, so Dr Google has been a bit more informative than the hospital.
Apparently 'hind waters' aren't your proper waters, they're behind the baby and can leak/gush/trickle for weeks, they keep renewing and can even heal their own leak.
So the good news is - I didn't pee my bed
Bad news- I'm no closer to labour because of it Sad

On the plays side, at the midwife n Wed the baby was still really high, today at the hospital they can only feel shoulders so baby has dropped right down.

Sorry been so self obsessed today. Il catch up on everyone's posts in the next few.

MrsGiraffe12 · 10/01/2014 14:46

Having a worried filled day today.

Lots of cramping (which I know is normal - I had it with DS (5) but then again I had it with the mmc baby too). Keep feeling like i have to rush to toilet to check for bleeding.
I'm only 5+6 too, I'm gonna go crazy waiting for my NT scan as this will be any time between 10+2 and 14+1

Feel like a psycho for feeling so anxious :-(

You're next on the list! you can be as self obsessed as you like!Grin
can't be any worse than me recently! All I've done on here is grizzle! Confused Blush
So did the MW say she thought labour was imminent?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 10/01/2014 14:50

MrsG 31 weeks here and I STILL knicker check. I've been coughing and leaking Blush and then terrifiedly peeking several hundred times a day! Confused

Purple37 · 10/01/2014 15:49

Hope everyone is ok? Just spoken to my doc who rang having picked up my out of hours report this morning. He has said I'm to stay off work and rest til I can have a scan at 6 weeks. Have had to tell my boss as that's a week and a half away!! Seems like a lifetime! No more spotting today and boobs still sore so have taken your advice and avoided testing! Today I am still pregnant...
Big thanks to christine for letting me know about this thread.
