Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, 1st to early 2nd trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a loooong time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

Hey funky I take 50mg B6 as well as pregnacare - started it to lengthen lutel phase (increases progesterone and keeps lining thick is the theory I think). I have like you tried to find out about how to reduce and stop it but am not much clearer. I have decided to continue as I am until 12 weeks then reduce to 40 mg a day for a week, then 30mg and so on until l I am just taking the pregnacare. And will try to find some more answers until then.

tally that is brill, must be a bit of an odd feeling Grin

good luck for tues qaz

back at work tomorrow, 10-4 to ease me in gently. Not really looking forward to it, have not slept at all well the last 3 nights, hope its better tonight. having not vommed for a few days since starting tablets I decided to miss it last night to see if i still need it, and it appears yes I do. feeling really queezy and vommed quite unexpectedly and had a close call in my car too. Must get round to putting some nappy bags and wipes in there!

Tallyra · 17/11/2013 18:14

it is very odd foody, like a cross between digestion bubbles and a muscle twitch.

sorry you're still so I'll. good luck going back to work though, it's actually really nice to get back to real life for me, u hope you manage ok.

I am looking forward to getting back on with things tally and time going quicker too. Just hope I sleep well tonight. Plenty to do when i get to work!

BlindKitty · 17/11/2013 18:40

tally ah man! I have to wait 5 weeks?! Hmm although that would be christmas... Chuffed for you Grin

BlindKitty · 17/11/2013 20:58

Was thinking about Christmas and how lovely it would be to tell the parents whether we're having a boy or a girl...so just booked a scan for 22nd dec...oops! Little frivolous considering we have the anomaly scan 8th jan but it was only £39 so money well spent I reckon!!!

funkymonk · 17/11/2013 23:19

can't believe you're 18 weeks already tally!

Thanks for the advice foody. I think I will plan to do the sane as you.

Kitty I wasn't having treatment, had just started investigations and they said that as soon as you are under the clinic you are automatically entitled to a 7 week scan. I was pretty impressed by that really.

BlindKitty · 18/11/2013 07:13

funky that's great. Most clinics only give you one if you've had ivf or iui!

Foodylicious · 18/11/2013 19:01

Keep reading though funky I'm still not sure about it all?!?

qazxc · 19/11/2013 10:29

Hi, just back from EPU. There's definately a baby in there and a heartbeat! also am measuring spot on for my dates, so hopefully all will go well from now on not that i think i will relax totally until the baby is in my arms

Brodicea · 19/11/2013 12:03

Yay Qaz!

I've just got back from my 16 week appointment, and the lovely midwife doppled me! After a bit of a worrying wait, a lovely heartbeat was heard! Apparently he/she was moving around a lot and she reckons I'll feel it soon - funnily enough on the way there I thought I felt something. Damn my confusing irritable bowels!

In less good news, it looks like when we move to Leeds I'm going to have another booking in appointment with the new midwife, they're gonna have to take all the bloods again, and the poor midwife will have to copy over all my notes to their own style notes - seems totally pointless!

Foodylicious · 19/11/2013 15:10

Oh qaz was thinking of you earlier, thats ace news!!!
Sounds like a good appt brod. what a pain about your notes though? surely they should not have to repeat bloods? you can take copies of the results or they should do you a transfer of care letter. I guess the notes need to be familiar to the midwives that will be seeing you when you have baby so they know where to look for what info they need, so that bit makes sense, but repeat bloods? unless they could give me a medical (not admin) reason for them I would refuse. Your body is your property and not just there for their convenience.

Boomgoestheweasel · 19/11/2013 18:07

Hello ladies

Just sticking my nose in to say hello. Finding everything a bit much at the moment and not feeling particularly in the MN spirit so haven't been on, but have lurked a bit to keep up with all of you, nice to see everyone's doing well.

Hopefully will cheer up soon and be back on form! xxx

CatsCantFlyFast · 19/11/2013 18:14

Great news for scans today Grin
Interesting about the notes... I will be moving area / midwives soon and wonder if mine will be the same

PuppyMummy · 19/11/2013 18:39

Foodylicious · 19/11/2013 18:54

funky re B6 found this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/a1911228-Vitamin-B6#43098419

CatsCantFlyFast · 19/11/2013 19:13

Puppy is it a maternity dress? I am desperately on the hunt for a maternity dress for Christmas (Xmas day/parties) so a little bit glam. My bump is huge though so would need to be a generous maternity shape! If anyone sees anything please let me know

PuppyMummy · 19/11/2013 19:23

no sorry merk just a baby doll style so fitted round top with
flared skirt. im just 'fat' for

Tallyra · 19/11/2013 19:31

Angelina77 · 19/11/2013 19:53

Can someone explain to me why my BF, knowing I've got 24/7 nausea and can't cope with strong smells, has just fried a massive piece of trout for his dinner. The whole house reeks and I've been forced to have a bath to escape. It'll take forever to get rid of the smell.

Anyone know where you can buy that nose stuff they use in morgues?

CatsCantFlyFast · 19/11/2013 20:01

Angel have you any Vix... That will work under your nose
I'm not even going to attempt to answer your question, but rest assures if I did the answer would involve the words dumb and men Wink

Angelina77 · 19/11/2013 20:11

Haha, indeed. Vix is a great idea, I don't have any but I might invest in some, the smell thing is definitely getting worse. Started getting a rancid metallic taste in my mouth too :(

Foodylicious · 19/11/2013 21:11

I feel your pain angelina, a few weeks ago lots of things started tasting funny or tatseless. Like ketchup, thought I must have bought the low sugar/salt version but checked and it was regular, just tasteless. Very dissapointing.
Feeling very sorry for myself today after after last nights epic vomiting then migraine and up till after 3. manage 4 hours at work today before coming home to bed. Still have a headache and feel icky. me, me, me Blush.

get you BF told about the fish and make sure he is eating in listening distance next time you are sick Smile he might know how you feel then.
