Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, 1st to early 2nd trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a loooong time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

Evening all. Bit of a mixed bag for me at the moment, happy I've made it to 8wks but really fed up feeling rubbish and worried about constant uti that won't go away. I've had 8 courses if ABs over the last year (2 of those since I was 3+4) but it keeps coming back.

GP doesn't know what to suggest now. I've read so much about the dangers in pregnancy, now I don't know what to do :(

BlindKitty · 14/11/2013 19:06

merk you're pure evil Wink

thunder stop listening to scare stories! pot calling kettle you're way past your last mc date and everything is going really well isn't it?!?!

puppy what say us your 12 week scan then? How exciting!

angelina how awful for you Brew. I assume you're drinking plenty and getting some cranberry juice?

So someone stroked my tummy today for the first time! Whilst I'm well aware it's just haribo, I still let her all the same haha!

PoppySeedBun · 14/11/2013 20:06

evening, all. Sorry not to have popped in for a while - although I've been chuckling at all the farting that has been going on. TBH, I haven't been too badly afflicted yet, but I don't think I'll be taking any special precautions for DH - he never does with me!

I had my 16 week (actually 17 week) check up on Wednesday. All went very fast - urine fine, BP fine, quick dopple and check of the belly - all on track. Felt a bit anticlimactic, but so relieved that heart is still pumping away. I am resisting the home doppler for now as I think it would just make me more crazy rather than more sane Grin Now I think I might need to start planning for 24 weeks already, as it falls on New Year's Day!

And today I finally found some mat jeans I like - overnight delivery from Next did the job.

boom hope first day went swimmingly and your tunic tent was v comfortable Grin

angelina I totally sympathise with 'enough of feeling rubbish' - I was really fed up around 8 or 9 weeks, and although I am still not completely over nausea, it has been steadily improving week by week since then. Hang in there! Hope you can get some better help with the UTI as well - when do you see the MW?

kat I'm with you - desperate to start feeling movement, but know it could be many weeks yet. Would be nice to have it by Xmas, tho.

Angelina77 · 14/11/2013 21:33

kitty I've tried everything, it just keeps coming back.

Hi poppy it seems I've got a terrible MW, I've had my booking in appt but she didn't give me notes or a contact number and said she would see me next in January (16wks).

PuppyMummy · 14/11/2013 21:35

kitty couple of weeks Wink Grin

BlindKitty · 15/11/2013 07:07

puppy is clearly keeping her cards close to her chest Wink

Has boom been in with a work update or is she too tired after all those babies to deliver?!

qazxc · 15/11/2013 07:49

angelina I'm sorry i have no advice to dispense but you have my sympathies it sounds grim. Thanks
poppy so pleased that your scan went well.

I have been wearing my arm bands and taking the "morning sickness" multivits. still feeling queasy but the edge has been taken off, most probably placebo effect but i don't care as long as i don't feel absolutely wretched. Scan on tuesday, hopefully they will be able to get a view of baby this time, quite nervous about it.

PuppyMummy · 15/11/2013 07:56

you know me kitty! always like to err on the side of caution! hav refused to tell my sil and dm what time it is.

Like to process things before other ppl get to them! Wink

Thunderpantsarego · 15/11/2013 07:57

Ohh qaz not long then, got everything crossed for the scan and am feeling positive for you.

Once puppy's had her scan I thought we were moving over to the brave side? angel sorry you're feeling rubbish Thanks

Boo for you angel I hope that somehow it finally gets sorted Brew

kat I'm very impressed with your gig going! I have flaked out of anything where I have to stand for a while near sweaty bodies Smile

Angelina77 · 15/11/2013 08:55

Thanks everyone, at least I can come here and moan.

Kat I'm also impressed at gig going, very brave. I'm practically house bound already.

qaz I'm sure the scan will find the baby this time, the strong symptoms must be giving you some comfort. Must've been a tough 2 wks for you though.

PuppyMummy · 15/11/2013 16:45

thunder we did say we would move to prams-ville once I had scan! that seems like ages ago!

funkymonk · 15/11/2013 18:09

Hello berries. Just popping in after this mornings shock bfp! Can I move over into the chopper? Will catch up on you lovely ladies shortly. Feeling very terrified after a miscarriage 4 months ago and a recent diagnosis of thrombophilia. Have started my aspirin as advised as of today!

PuppyMummy · 15/11/2013 18:21

PuppyMummy · 15/11/2013 18:23

welcome funkymonk and congratulations!

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/11/2013 18:32

Welcome to the chopper funky - feel free to share your worries here as you will get lots of reassurance, and most people in the chopper have had similar concerns due to previous history. Try to enjoy as much as you can though... you've waited for it for so long!

Puppy in my head you are now a A list celeb. And you listing your amazing feast does not make me feel better as I am off to dinner with IL family tonight and it is bound to be something I don't like/don't want etc (It is a cousin, who is male and will not have considered the needs of a pregnant woman!). Unfortunately until i drag my bum to the supermarket tomorrow i do not even have any good snackage in for when i return later on.

Hope everybody else has had a good week. Thank God it is Friday Grin

Looking forward to hearing from Boom how her new job is going

Angelina77 · 15/11/2013 19:00

Welcome funky and congrats! Feel free to vent all your worries and frustrations to us, I've found it a great help.

qazxc · 15/11/2013 19:21

Welcome funky!

Tallyra · 15/11/2013 19:25

welcome funky!!!!!

puppy, my dinner is in the oven and consists of chilli sausages and garlic bread. I'm sure I would have made risotto if I'd got home before half 6 or dh had been here but sod it. I'm too hungry to fiddle around with veg tonight.

OP posts:
PuppyMummy · 15/11/2013 19:42

tally I figured my onion rings will count as veg! tea was deelicious!

oh dear merk hope your tea ends up ok!
you would be disappointed, im just a lowly teacher from Leeds!

BlindKitty · 15/11/2013 20:45

funky soooo lovely to see you in here Grin

puppy I'm dying to know what happened now although I do think merk's version is probably better...imagining something like..'so I was on my way to do a photoshoot for hello and I got papped at the antenatal clinic' oh and your wearing killer heels and mahoosive sunglasses!

So went to announce my pregnancy to my friend and before I could say anything her 3 year old asked if I had a baby in my tummy today??! Spooky!!!!

Oh and downs testing all came back ok Smile

Tallyra · 15/11/2013 21:03
