Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, 1st to early 2nd trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a loooong time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

Great news angelina.
Is it too early to start blaming baby brain on things. my brain is absolute mush these days, i am also constantly cold, tired, hungry and nauseous.

Foodylicious · 07/11/2013 19:32

I was really spacy all the time a couple of weeks ago qaz, had to really concentrate when I was driving!

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/11/2013 19:52

Qaz my baby brain arrived early so I suspect the hormones do have an effect even at the v early days

Foody I am one for not wanting to take anything but I would say its worth a try (no point suffering if there's something that might work) and the best thing you can do for baby is a good diet (I am being v hypocritical here Grin) so if meds help you keep more food down (and feel better) is it not worth a try? Otherwise I wouldn't worry about work, it doesn't count as sickness, they can't discriminate against you for it, and if you're not well enough to be there then you should not feel guilty.
The only other thing I can say, which won't help right now, is that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Some days I was asking myself how I was going to survive the next hour never mind the whole pregnancy because I felt that bad (and I wasn't even that ill!). However I can now barely remember how bad I felt. Hopefully you will start feeling better after 12 weeks and it will become a distant memory

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/11/2013 19:55

Also I did find certain foods really made a difference... I was much better able to control it once I got a grip on that. I feel for you x

PuppyMummy · 07/11/2013 20:47

foody was your scan at Crown Point?! if it was our paths crossed!

BlindKitty · 07/11/2013 21:45

feather I had brown discharge around same time as you and although the berries constantly tried to reassure me, I still worried like hell! Needless to say, it all went after about 10 days and haven't had any since!

angel great scan news! Were you not tempted to buy anything on the way out?

So, bought a carry cot with a stand today from the charity shop for £8 in perfect nick! Dh (who is dreadfully snobby about charity shops) has assumed it is from my friend..so we'll just leave it like that I think Wink

Foodylicious · 07/11/2013 23:41

It was indeed puppy!

PuppyMummy · 08/11/2013 06:47

Ha ha we nearly met then cos mine was at 5.30!!
How many weeks r u? we could end up giving birth in the same hospital!

BlindKitty · 08/11/2013 07:40

No way! A joint berry birth?! Now you're taking the 'meet-up' to a whole new level!!!!

Pic up btw but it's replaced my 7 week one! Have 2 others but presume they'll just replace each other?

Foodylicious · 08/11/2013 07:47

8+5 today puppy

FeatherFeather11 · 08/11/2013 07:48

Morning all, hope everyone is well. Have woken up to bleeding, like the start of a period. No cramps or anything though. Have left a voicemail for the FC and hopefully they'll call me back asap. Not really sure what to do and feeling v upset.

Foodylicious · 08/11/2013 07:52

Call your local early pregnancy unit, do you know if your hospital has one? Hugs x

FeatherFeather11 · 08/11/2013 07:56

Yes they do. It's where I'm meant to be going for the 7 week scan. FC opens at 8.30 so will keep trying them as they're who I've been dealing with. Will let you know how I get on xx

Foodylicious · 08/11/2013 08:01

Ok, if you cant get through to fc, do ring the epu just tell them that you are booked on at 7 weeks ,what is happening now and they should fit you in. hugs again hon x x

BlindKitty · 08/11/2013 08:07

feather what's the flow like? Sometimes people do have a little bleed though, think merk did early on? Thinking of you xxx

Boomgoestheweasel · 08/11/2013 08:09

Feather it's so hard but try not to assume the worst. It can and does happen and mean nothing. Foody is right, get yourself down to EPU, but do remember that if you're still very early (I'm sorry, I can't remember exactly where you are) it might be impossible for them to do anything but wait, which I know is not a nice prospect. I have my fingers crossed for you xxx

FeatherFeather11 · 08/11/2013 08:58

Thanks all. FC nurse called and suggested I go to the epu drop in clinic. Just heading there now.

kitty flow early this morning was like a first day of period - kinda a small gush ( sorry tmi) but now it's just there when I wipe. Who knows.

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/11/2013 09:00

feather hugs and FX for you. I had something similar and I remember one of the grads having a friend who had two v heavy bleeds and everything was fine x

Brodicea · 08/11/2013 09:14

Hope all is okay feather xxxxx

Angelina77 · 08/11/2013 09:50

Hope you're ok feather x

Tallyra · 08/11/2013 10:58

FeatherFeather11 · 08/11/2013 12:12

It's ectopic. My left and last remaining tube. I'm absolutely gutted. Thanks for all your support. xxxx
