No reason really just wondering.

37+3 with first he's due 12 days before my 22nd bday. Always thought I would have one around this age. Only person nervous to tell s my dad but he was over the moon! DPs dads reaction didn't cross my mind but he went silent on phone (lives away) hung up, called back ten mins later Xmas day might I add. And said oh sorry you caught me by surprise I um don't think I'm ready to be a grandad! He will be 55 my dad will turn 45 6 day before due date.

So how old were you when you had your first? And any others while we're at it :)

Definitelysometime · 10/08/2013 22:50

I'll be nearly 31 and also feeling really young (and scared)!

Writerwannabe83 · 10/08/2013 22:50
Shock
Yika · 10/08/2013 22:53

43 and 360 days. I didn't feel too young to be having a baby. :)

cooeeyonlyme · 10/08/2013 22:53

Ds - 18
Dd - 19
Dd - 24

I am now 30 and still with the father. I love it when young mums prove critics wrong.

LittlePeaPod · 10/08/2013 22:56

I will be 37 but I always knew I would wait because I wanted to establish my career before having a child. Which I have done and I am now ready to have a child.

Jolleigh · 10/08/2013 22:57

I'll be 25 when this one arrives and it'll be my first.

I'm actually considered an older mum in my family...we traditionally have them in late teens.

elQuintoConyo · 10/08/2013 22:58

TequilaMockinBird · 10/08/2013 22:58

sonlypuppyfat · 10/08/2013 22:59

32,34 and 38 aand no you don't have more patience when you are an older mum

91chloejp · 10/08/2013 22:59

19 with my first. I too am still with the DH and laugh at the comments I received from some family members.

louiespence · 10/08/2013 23:00

31 for DS1 and 33 for DS2!

Fairydogmother · 10/08/2013 23:01

I'll be 34

Trinpy · 10/08/2013 23:06

I will be 24 when I have my first. I feel far too young to be a parent, even though this baby was very much planned for. However, my dad is 80 and still thinks he is too young to be a granddad!

katrinaxx · 10/08/2013 23:11

im due on new years day and I will be 22 in march but age doesn't determine the capability of a mother older or younger its still just as hard but equally rewarding good luck xx

MummyTheresAfireBeeOnYourHead · 10/08/2013 23:13

29, 31 and will be 34 for dc 3 due dec .

KatOD · 10/08/2013 23:16

36, for the same reasons as LittlePeaPod.

mrspaddy · 10/08/2013 23:17

I will be exactly 35 and one month Grin.

Would have liked to have been about 32/33 for my first but think I am happy at this age as long as I can have another in the not too distant future.

HarrietSchulenberg · 10/08/2013 23:22

29 for first, 32 and 36 for subsequent dcs.

GibberTheMonkey · 10/08/2013 23:23

22

Gonnabmummy · 10/08/2013 23:24

Most of the girls from my cool year have 3/4 yr olds already a couple have 2.

Being pretty much 22 I never really thought it 'young' but his dads reaction of not being ready to be a grandparent threw me lol. He lives a good two n half hour drive away too so I know he'll be his grandad but won't have as active as a part as my dad who's 300 yards away lol

He said he never seen it coming, I don't know if he and DP have them sort of talks etc.

But we live together both have full time jobs and if I say so myself a very nice home. I don't know how he didn't think it'd be on the cards at some point lol
