No reason really just wondering.

37+3 with first he's due 12 days before my 22nd bday. Always thought I would have one around this age. Only person nervous to tell s my dad but he was over the moon! DPs dads reaction didn't cross my mind but he went silent on phone (lives away) hung up, called back ten mins later Xmas day might I add. And said oh sorry you caught me by surprise I um don't think I'm ready to be a grandad! He will be 55 my dad will turn 45 6 day before due date.

So how old were you when you had your first? And any others while we're at it :)

I'll be 23 when I have my first in January. I read somewhere that 28/9 is the average age of a first time mum in the UK, so I guess technically I'm young, but it's the right time for me and my DH :)

Myliferocks · 10/08/2013 23:33

In some ways it was a lot easier back then compared to now they are older! Grin
The baby years were a bit of a blur but the youngest is nearly 9 now so things are definitely better now.
They were all good sleepers hence why we had so many! Grin

Lovemyprincess4eva · 11/08/2013 00:47

DD due in November and I'm 30 in January x

Madratlady · 11/08/2013 00:49

I'm 23 and still will be when my first arrives early next year. I think early 20s is considered young, especially in the area I live in which is full of mums in their 30s.

My DM told me today that I should get something from the GP for my spots so I don't get mistaken for a teenage mum Hmm

Wuldric · 11/08/2013 00:51

32

Mogz · 11/08/2013 00:58

I'll be 26 when the little one arrives this winter. Not sure if we'll have another.

TSSDNCOP · 11/08/2013 01:09

38 and I'd never wanted to be a parent. Still not entirely clear why I did it TBH.

JollyHappyGiant · 11/08/2013 01:14

I was not long 25 when I had DS. My parents became grandparents before they were 50.

I knew I wanted to have children and that fertility is higher when you're younger, so once I'd met DH we didn't see much point in waiting too long.

Nellysgirl · 11/08/2013 01:17
