Aw hang in there air fryer! Soon enough you will be joining me with sleepless nights for another reason. Don't forget this time last week I was in the same boat as you so hopefully it will be just a matter of days. Sending you labout dust! Xx

Airfryer · 07/08/2013 06:53

Awful sleep. Was up at 12am for pee, 1-3.30 with braxton hicks and Ds up at 5.15am. Dp took him down for milk/cuddle/snooze, lasted 20 mins before shouting at him. Then brought him up put him in his room for 2 minutes and went to get him. Said what on earth are you doing. He's fed up apparently that Ds is up at 5.15 (first time in ages). i explained that sticking him in his room for 2 minutesisnot teaching him anything and its not consistent. his reply was its all about me getting sleep. Cue big row the selfish prick. I end up with Ds (now asleep) whilst he sleeps downstairs! What a selfish prick :(

Airfryer · 07/08/2013 06:59

Did go mad at him :/ threw the clothes on the bannister......think theydellin the cats water bowl......whoops!

Seriously so disappointed. He's off work, I've got spd, I'm in agony, ive not slept in weeks. He's not sleeping in with me so he can sleep. Whilst I'm struggling to get more than 3-4 hours sleep a night.

Reebok · 07/08/2013 10:35

Oh air fryer I'm so sorry your dp is behaving like that! Hang in there my dear! Am currently at docs because my feet have exploded to my legs and midwife thinks might be preeclampsia. Didn't realise you could get it after pregnancy!

MsFiremanSam · 07/08/2013 13:16

Air, sorry your DP is being so inconsiderate Hmm
My DS woke up last night about midnight and DH in a grump said 'I hate getting up in the night...' Er, I'm 40 weeks pregnant - what are you expecting the next year to be like?!

MsFiremanSam · 07/08/2013 13:19

Does anyone know if change in mood/tiredness could be sign of labour? Due date today and suddenly feel really exhausted and weepy. DS accidentally pinched my arm with his plastic pliers and I cried for half an hour! Lost appetite too. No show or anything though Hmm

Boosiehs · 07/08/2013 13:33

38 weeks, and sooooo tired. Back ache today, thank goodness I've finished work!

Fingers crossed for a quick birth for all you ladies out there!!

posybunchof · 07/08/2013 15:07

Hello everyone, can I join you? I'm due on Sunday... feels kind of soon now! Although I have had no twinges or signs, and also no cleaning urges! And DC1 was two weeks late so I'm kind of expecting to be here a while...

Good luck to everyone experience BHs etc. Hope it's soon for you!

PurpleDana · 07/08/2013 15:27

Men! I think they are all so flighty with their support! One minute they can be really considerate & the next they will be so selfish.
Take today for example - my hubby said he was taking me out, make the most of a day where it's just the 2 of us. How nice eh? Well, we went for a drive to find a certain fishing lake, stopped to have a look at another one cos he couldn't find the first, then ended up at a fishing tackle shop! And no, fishing is not my hobby, it's his!

ZingWidge · 07/08/2013 15:42

just a fleeting good luck to all and a bombshell that DH announced last night that he changed his mind and as I really want more children he is now ok with that!!!! (as opposed to no fucking way)

we do need a few more discussions, but it looks like we are going to TTC for baby number 7!
so watch this space! Smile

Wow zing! You are seriously super woman!! How do you do it??? I'm finding it exhausting enough with just the one!

LouiseD29 · 07/08/2013 20:45

Well, no progress here today. Have done very little, except have Braxton Hicks and irrational ragey feelings at everything. Am feeling annoyed that I'm managed neither to do anything constructive nor to properly rest and sleep. I've just sat here feeling bored and enormous watching crap telly and eating unhealthy food. Grump grump grump.

Soontobemama · 08/08/2013 02:39

I'm awake with a bad stomach ache and slight back ache. Not sure whether its the start of anything or a result of the Thai curry I made for dinner. It feels like IBS but I can't go to the toilet. Baby is doing lots of fluttery movements.

Airfryer · 08/08/2013 06:45

2nd sweep this morning.....fingers crossed

MsFiremanSam · 08/08/2013 08:28

Good luck with the sweep Air. My pregnancy app has texted me this morning with the message 'your baby is overdue'. How helpful!

Locketjuice · 08/08/2013 08:43

4 days to go!! Smile

Snufflebabe · 08/08/2013 09:02

Feel like I can finally join this thread! I am 39 weeks today, and counting the seconds.

My hands, knees and feet are suffering the most, they are swollen and very painful. This is my second DC and I remember my hands being very sore the first time around.

Have had an 'upset tummy' for about a week now, again, this was the same with my first pregnancy. No plug yet though.

I'm so so tired, entertaining a toddler while being this pregnant is hard work.

I feel like I just moan all the time! Excited to meet this little one, we don't know if it's a boy or a girl. Last time I was induced a week early as my waters started to go but didn't fully go. I'm nervous about going into labour naturally as I haven't experienced it before.

Feel like the whole world is waiting for me, if that makes sense.

I've been getting sharp pains under the bump for about a week. They last a second or two, and usually when I am walking. Midwife unconcerned by them, and baby isn't engaged at all yet.

I can tick curry, pineapples, raspberry tea off the list.

Nice to 'meet' you all!

Airfryer · 08/08/2013 10:27

I'm getting induced in the morning!! - sang in time of I'm getting married in the morning! It's got a certain ring to it :)SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

MsFiremanSam · 08/08/2013 10:56

Wow, great news Air!
Starting to feel like every day is Groundhog Day now. I'm so fed up and uncomfortable. Grumpy at DH all the time, especially when he's moaning about work and I just want to scream 'I DON'T CARE! WHAT ABOUT MY MISERY!!'
Another week until midwife will even sweep me at 41+1. I will literally go nuts if baby isn't here by then.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 08/08/2013 12:25

Ah ffs, just wrote long post and lost it.

To sum up: Hi, 39+1, 3rd baby. Two bickering kids 6 and 3, summer holidays, no rest, little sleep, painful SPD & heartburn, messy house & trying to have a homebirth, feeling down and like a bad mum today. Confused

Cass168 · 08/08/2013 13:27

Right, so had the sweep on tues - I was expecting discomfort but it was downright painful. Midwife said she'd managed to pull my cervix forward (NO?! REALLY!! OWW!).
Had a small amount of bleeding afterwards but nothing much yesterday. I think I may have lost my plug this morning but now I'm not sure whether it's still from the sweep. Very dark in colour but definitely jelly consistency (really sorry for TMI!!) Blush
I've been offered another sweep tomorrow, but if it IS my plug I might just wait and see what happens (I'm 40+9 anyway so I can't be that much longer, surely?!)

frenchboy · 08/08/2013 13:45

40 + 5. Currently being induced. First attempt with the string, pessary gel thing put in this morning. Very painful contractions after about 10 mins and continuing all morning. But very painful internal (posterior cervix, gas & air, tears Hmm) revealed that I'm no more dilated than I was this morning. Wondering whether baby needs dynamiting out?!

lola1980 · 08/08/2013 14:16

Yep I think we're all getting pretty fed up now aren't we? I honestly thought I'd have had her by now after all this false labour, but no... It just serves to add to my list of things to moan about. Sweep booked for next Thursday which is my birthday... I'd rather not spend it with another lady's finger inside me, really Confused

Gerty1002 · 08/08/2013 14:57

Had midwife appointment this morning and was annoyed to find my midwife is on holiday AGAIN for my next appointment! I've only had her half the time, I had to ask her loads of questions today because she just assumed birth and labour had been discussed at last appointment but it hadn't.

Anyway all is well, still only 2/5 engaged I think (she only wrote 3/5, so assuming they always write how much is palpable?). Found out I won't be offered a sweep until 40+10 and then induction at 40+14 - hoping little one comes a while before that, I really don't think I can fit any more baby in there! I should really stop moaning as I'm only 36+6 but I'd rather do it to you lot than poor DP - sorry!

MsFiremanSam · 08/08/2013 15:27

Iola that made me chuckle!
Just had text from a friend: 'try to enjoy pregnancy, it's such a special time'. FFS!! Even more annoying than 'have you had it yet?' !
