Hello, wasn't going to pop in yet as 37+5. However, I had a really uncomfy night with very wriggly baby, now am getting flashes of pain in bum and under bump now and then though alarmingly the last 4 have been quite rhythmic. I'm thinking BH at long last? What do you reckon wise mnetters? Haven't noticed it before today Grin and nothing else to report.

I'm in. Due in 2 days but no sign. Have been really lucky so apart from heartburn I'm feeling good, no back pain or spd etc. but I've been on mat leave for 3 weeks and I just want baby to arrive now!
Booked for sweep on weds - fun times...

cakebaby your pains sound like the flashes of pain I get down my flu, short & sharp. Mine come especially when baby is moving, so think its her just getting lower & putting more pressure on my cervix. Had them for weeks.
Well to make up for yesterday's fishing theme, me & hubby have had a lovely couple of hrs at the park - picnic, walk & a little bit of badminton! I'm suffering for all the activity now tho, my hips & groin have completely seized up!

I've been having really uncomfortable braxton hicks today. Last one went on for 5 minutes. Could this be a sign or another trick my body is playing on me?

Hi all, hope you don't mind me butting in! I am 40 plus 5 and feel like there is no way this baby is gonna come out on it's own. Sweep and DR's appointment at hospital on Tuesday. Also had acupuncture to try and encourage labour naturally but that's not done any good yet. Had a few tightening around week 38 then.... nothing! Baby still really active plus possibly back to back so might just need time to move. Had a bit of pregnancy acne early on and that has just come back so maybe it's a sign. Midwife keeps telling me to chill out but this is my first and I am pretty stressed (it's not that easy to chill out when you have a 2 stone moving lump on your front and the hormones of a teenanger!)

Hope you are all coping ok in the last few days/weeks. Can sympathize with the shit sleep - The other thing for me is the heat! I hate feeling constantly just that 'little too hot' if you know what I mean

Hi,
Not a regular poster but am always reading on here - am due in just under 3 weeks with DS (already have a DD)
Woke up this morning with mammoth period type pain in lower back and bump - baby is fully engaged and as low as he can go and has been for the past 2 weeks so hoping I won't go over like DD
Would love to sleep but don't thnk that will happen now so sat on here with a brew - good practice I suppose for when DS makes his appearance

welcome "newbies"

sorry I haven't been much help, we have a lot going on this week.

I hope you are all ok and that labour will start in good time.
is it time yet to serve babies another eviction note? Grin

Well the (slightly) cooler weather has meant a night's sleep for me! If it wasn't for the trips to the loo I would've had seven hours last night Smile
I'm hoping this rest means I'm ready for labour, two days overdue and having those period pains again. OH says it'd be nice if she came today, then he doesn't have to do his weekend shift Wink

Hehe I like the serving of the eviction notice. Looks like my baby will be getting his first warning in Tuesday then unless he decides to pack up and get out over the weekend ;)

Hi all, I'm 38 weeks, due with my second. First time I was two weeks overdue and had a really long labour. Hoping for a sneeze birth which is over in a couple of hours...

Bored of this now and feel I've done my duty and that little one should get out ASAP! I've started the evacuation proceedings with acupuncture which helped start labour naturally last time. Fingers crossed...!

Evacuation should have been eviction but amounts to the same thing Grin

Zingwidge can we have that birth story link please?

Congrats French, I hope you're feeling on the mend today.

I'm lying in bed scared to turn over because I know it's going to hurt and my pelvis is going to crack and clunk. I'm at the really fun point where the baby's head is buoyed up by my full bladder, so when I have a big wee I can feel it go thud back down into the pelvis. I won't miss this! Nor will I miss having to sit awkwardly on one arsecheek on hard chairs because baby really likes having a firm surface to head butt against, and doesn't really care if there's a cervix in the way. Hmm

Want her out!

I thought I was on my way last night. Sharp, sore pains under the bump and loads of pressure in my bum. Went to bed and........ nothing!

What's going on baby? !

Congratulations French!

I'm now on my 4th day of back ache and stomach cramps but nothing seems to be developing. Frustrated!

I didn't update my fb status for 24hrs and as a result woke up to a ton of messages! I feel bad admitting I was busy eating everything and not being in labour. Baby was VERY quiet yesterday and I started getting worried, but she's making up for it today by grinding her head on my cervix and making me wince every few minutes.

Congratulations French!! Well done Flowers

I'm 38+4 and had 6 hours of mild contractions yesterday.

They started like electricity in my lower back, moved round under and up my bump to a peak in intensity, then eased off and disappeared for 20 minutes and came back spot on every 20 minutes for 6 hours. They were definitely painful and crampy but never increased in intensity. My DH stayed home from work incase that was it. Woke up this morning to nothing at all. Confused

I had a bloody show yesterday morning, before my mini-fake-labour, so hoping for some movement soon!!

My midwife told me to buy lots of biscuits to keep my energy levels up during labour. There was a deal on milk chocolate digestives last week so I bought 3 packs. I only have 1/2 a pack left Grin
