My pregnancy is dated from the day BEFORE i stopped taking the pill so straight away. I didn't even consider that we were trying yet as was waiting for a few periods to go by so could get an idea of my cycle. I was already taking folic acid though and hubby was taking zinc tablets as they are meant to be good for the swimmers.

I reckon if we had got to the stage if actually 'trying' it wouldn't have happened do easily as id have gotten mega stressed about it.

Stay healthy, enjoy having lots of sex and remember that average is about a year i think. Good luck!

It took us 3 weeks- straight after coming off the pill for the first time in ten years!

We were DTD every 2-3 days though as I heard that gave you a better shot than charting. I took Pregnacare Conception, ate loads of fruit and veg and lowered my alcohol intake to very minimal amounts- not sure if any of that helped.

ds1 7 month ds2 6-7 month dc3 1night ended in a mmc dc4 1 night again and currently 23 wks pregnant. i would say was healthier in terms of diet and exercise when trying for ds1 and ds2 compared to now. but a lot more obsessing involved the first 2 times Smile

It was straight away with DS1 and with my current pregnancy.. I know when I'm ovulating (at risk of tmi, I'll hold back) so lots of sex during my fertility period.

I'm addicted to tea so had caffeine both times but I always cut it out when I get my bfp. I exercise regularly but most.importantly I elevated myself after sex and (tmi warning) OH made sure he ejaculated as close to the cervix as possible as we read that that helps a lot

It took us 5 months. I'm 22, we used opks and ate really healthily throughout, took folic acid 3 months before we started trying, stopped drinking, and got very impatient!

8 cycles and used ovulation predictor kits. According to these I didn't ovulate in the successful cycle so no i have no faith in them now! Had varied cycles 28-47 days so I put success down to us 'putting the effort in' big time over the full 2 weeks I could possibly be ovulating (going on my cycle range)! I'm 35, 1st pregnancy.

2 years 8 months. I lost track but about 33 cycles. We had investigations and found we had male factor issues. Reversed them and then I got pregnant.

As soon as I thought about it with all three. I even think one might have been an immaculate conception.

Got pregnant on 2nd cycle aged 28.

Pregnant again on 2nd cycle aged 31.

Just got pregnant for the fourth time, but have no idea of cycles as they hadn't properly returned after dd2 and I am still breastfeeding. Still waiting to find out how far along I am. I am 33.

Didn't do any charting, but with dd1 and 2 I knew my cycle and could feel when I ovulated so that helped. I took a multivitamin before conceiving dd2.

2nd cycle with dd

8 cycles with this pregnancy. Bit I was breastfeeding so only 4 cycles after periods returned and 1 after finishing breastfeeding.

DD wasn't really planned - we had unprotected sex just once and I got pregnant. I was 30.

It has taken me 4.5 years and 3 cycles of ICSI to conceive the one I'm currently pregnant with. Same partner, and I was 32 when we started trying. Tests showed DH has a very low sperm count, which didn't really improve with drugs, vitamins and lifestyle changes. No one can explain how DD came into being so easily.

Fertility seems such a mystery to me. A lot of it really does seem to be just chance or luck.

We were married on the Mon and found out on the Fri we were pregnant with dd1
Decided when she was 4 months we wanted another, 2 months later we were pregnant with dd2. Didn't do anything special.
6 months later we wanted another, got pregnant 2 months later but miscarried at 6 weeks. Had a smear soon after and found abnormal cells. Had to have the cells removed (luckily found early so was not cancerous yet) took just over a year to conceive again. Done the fertility monitor for 2 months when we got dd3
Dd3 was 4 months when decided we wanted another. Pregnant by the end of that month with dd4. We weren't really trying fully.
Good luck to those trying its not always easy.

First 18 months, first 16 months just having lots of sex, then used ov sticks for two months and got a BFP. Unfortunatly she was stillborn at 36 weeks, I then fell pg three months later only to suffer mc. We then used ov sticks for the next 9 months and got pg again only to suffer another mc.
Then a full 9 months later we fell pg, we were using ov sticks but not that month as we both had bouts of flu, and only had sex once!

But I will say everytime I fell pg was after a weight loss of more than 10lbs. So weight doesn't help.

Oh and I'm 25 weeks and everything seems fine

9 months, but only really started trying (tracking ovulation etc) in the last 5-6 months xx

3rd month of trying (really the second as the first I had no idea what my cycle was).

I'd just bought the clearblue thingy when I found out I was pg.

I had got spectacularly drunk the night I think we conceived DC, who is due in 5 weeks. :)

3 weeks!

Although the news was welcome, we were a bit gobsmacked to say the least (I'm 39 as was expecting it to take months and months.) Of course, hubby is claiming all the credit for this....

Six weeks, after years and years on the pill. I am 35, DH 38. We were very lucky. We weren't even trying that hard! Good luck OP.

With DS it was our second cycle, we only DTD once in that first cycle in order for me to get a proper period as I'd been on the pill. I was 29.

Now trying for DC2 on first cycle, didn't really want to wait about as we did above & am a day late but BFN this morning, but still no AF either Confused

I'm taking folic acid daily as I did with DS, don't smoke or drink lots & neither does DP, so no other preparation.

Good luck!
