Anybody else overdue/due soon?

Hi Everyone

I am 4 days overdue and completely fed up!Can't sleep at night because of painful hips and heartburn from hell, and am just sick of sitting waiting around!Every pain comes with a desperate hope that it will turn into a contraction, even the ear ache I had yesterday was googled to see if this was a sign of labour (desperate times)

Plus on top of that, I can't deal with another message/phone call asking if I have had the baby yet, especially off close family members!What do they expect me to say- 'yes I had him last week, do you not follow me on twitter?'. Do they not think I would of been in contact as soon as I possibly could to tell them the good news!!

Anyway, I am just moaning now!Was just wondering if there are any fellow pregnant ladies due to pop any day now,and fancy a chat to pass time until our little bundles of joy arrive!

Oh cat lady, just read about the blood pressure issue. Fair enough that you are keen to get things moving pronto!

bbface I know but it's only by a few days I know it's probably best for baby to stay in a little bit longer (unless my BP gets much higher, anyway) but it's my first and I'm excited to meet her!

Good news that you're already dilating and have had a good sweep, hopefully you'll meet your little one soon! :)

Goodness, that makes me excited and nervous in equal measure!

I almost hope I am not, as want our front entrance finished first, and the to have some time to clean, pictures hung etc. I am not quite ready!!

Hope everyone has a good night's sleep. I was up having a light brekkie at 3am, as just could not sleep

Just put sick toddler to bed & now have such horrible backache that its making me feel sick. Unsure if things are heating up with baby or if body just punishing me for carrying toddler round all day!

I've been on the treadmill, bouncing on the ball, plenty of chillies on my pizza earlier but nothing doing.

I know everyone's asleep but DH is asleep too so I've noone to talk to! May as well talk to myself on here! I'm still contracting. Supposed to ring labour ward again at quarter past. Tens machine is helping a bit but I'd rather have a nice nap!

Every three minutes or thereabouts. Thought it best if one of us got a bit of sleep but DH woke up anyway and is now attempting to insert the cat into the cat carrier to go to his mum's. I'm glad someone is awake!

Oh Amanda so happy for you!! Ooooh I wish I'd been on here last night to keep you company :) Name? Weight? Oh, so happy one of us has popped!

Might be joining you in the chilli pizza... we're back from the funeral/wake and now it's officially baby come out time!! I had a few twinges last night after the massivest poo I have ever done (sorry for TMI but hey who has dignity left anymore?), and I was half panicking/half excited that it was going to start, but think it will be soon......

Oo.. a water birth. How lovely! That's what I'm hoping for at home. Hope you're enjoying those newborn snuggles Amanda.

That's a promising sign phoenix and not TMI. Like you say, all dignity was out the window for me after the last birth! Glad baby held on for today for you, but let's hope we all get some more babies born this weekend!

I'm up for the hot pizza and bouncing ball plan! Scan was all fine today - baby isn't too small. Was nice to see little one although much harder to see anything with a late scan.

Pizza with jalopenos ordered, DH dispatched to collect...had a very emotional day so here's hoping in Amanda's honour that this baby will begin eviction tonight! Hope everyone is hanging in there...let's get these babies out!!

SausageMother glad to hear growth scan was fine, that is a relief. Phoenix I do think these babies sometimes know when they need to stay put so hopefully now the funeral is over that things can happen. My thoughts are with your family...Pooing is a good sign!! Agree with the complete lack of dignity.
leannac how's your toddler? Hope they get better soon and you get a break over the weekend.

Anyone else just feel like they are about to get there period? Is this a good sign or just normal at 40 weeks?
