Cool that's very exciting. So do you have a wish list of things to buy or will you start looking after the scan?

Bella23 · 04/05/2006 10:00

M&MB - well we need to move rooms about and get new carpet etc to start with. To be honest just going out and buying one babygrow will be all the fun I need to start with as its been such a long journey to get to this point that it will be so thrilling!

Cadmum · 04/05/2006 20:06

Nemo: I am complete c**p! I forgot to pick up your pretzels again! I had that nagging feeling that there was something else I needed with both the online shop I did yesterday and the emergency milk run this morning but I could not for the life of me recal;l what it was...Sad I will grab them tomorrow. Sorry!

Cadmum · 04/05/2006 20:07

oops! typing with one hand as Charlie is in bad mood...

Frizbe · 04/05/2006 21:38

Hi all, fab weather today been out to the park with the crew, lovely! got a horrible flat tyre later on tho....had to get dh out to rescue us Blush as couldn't manage two kids and a tyre change, felt a bit pants about that.....so much for being an empowered woman!
Nice to hear lots of scan talk going on, good luck ladies n Debsey hope your sickness goes away soon!

Cadmum · 04/05/2006 22:03

Oh Friz! A flat tyre is a nighmare when you have children. Glad your DH was there to help out. I had one when it was -20 and DH was overseas back in the day when we had a car and only two children. Thank heavens for the Canadian Automobile Association and passerby with a mobile phone...

The weather here is lovely as well and we are just back from a day in the park and waiting for our Fresh Direct (online groceries) order

DH has to work this week-end and I am feeling mighty Sad about it. What a wimp I have become!

I decided to treat myself to some breast feeding clothes since I feel really self-conscious feeding dd here. Have never owned such a thing before. Will let you all know what I think when the package arrives.

Frizbe · 04/05/2006 22:07

Shock -20 Caddy, I don't want to think about it! good job you had rescue to hand! I nearly called the rescue people instead of dh, but decided that would be utterly pants! so dh it was, only took him half hour to get to me as well, he's revelling in his knight in shining armour thing!

Debbsy · 05/05/2006 05:59

oh dear sorry about your flat tyre frizbe.Hi cadmum did you get some bf clothes?
me urgh dreaded morning sickness again feel awful today up since 5am.
Hello to everyone else did anyone else see that thread from oh my god wonder who she is,i put on is it Vicky Pollard from Little Britain cos of attitude, bit naughty i know but there is no need to swear at people, when they are giving her good wishes.

HandbagAddiction · 05/05/2006 12:43

Final, final, final day of work today (having finished at my client last week) and I am so relieved it's untrue. Having a pretty easy day of it I must say - which is a relief and going out for lunch soon which will be lovely!

Very much looking forward to spending some quality chill out time at home - although next week is already looking pretty choc-a-block....call me a glutton for punishment! Main thing is that I have now sorted out ALL of dds old clothes and routed out all the neutral coloured new baby / 0 -3 months ones that can be reused. God help me if this one isn;t a girl as I'm going to have a hell of a job getting rid of her extensive 'back' wardrobe on Ebay, car boot sales or via charity shops! Still massively stuck on names though - and with only 3 weeks to go before this baby supposedly arrives, I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable that we haven't got any clear favourites!

Also nice to catch up on everyone else's news - particularly MeAndMyBoy, Bella and Debbsy with their progressing pregnancies - although sorry to hear you're feeling so 'green' Debbsy!!

Also nice to catch up with everyone else and their new (or now not so new) babies ....

Sorry about the tyre change Frizbe - I understand completely how helpless you must have felt.

Cadmum - I am in huge admiration of you - not only for the fact that you have four children, but also for how you seem to remain so calm and collected when faced with seemingly endless disruptions to your family life. I really hope Vienna works out well for you all.

For Munz, Nemo, Dramaqueen, Tabs, Georgeandwigglyjake and anyone else out there I've forgotten - glad to see you're all still around, enjoying life and taking good car of yourselves.

Hope you all have great weekends - 'lucky' me has got her MIL to stay this weekend - no doubt I shall hear lots of helpful hints about progressing with the potty training regime.....can't wait!!!

Cadmum · 05/05/2006 15:11

Thanks Handbag!Blush I am so NOT calm in real life. I am somewhat resigned to this hectic lifestyle because I knew when we chose to have DH go back to school that things would not be easy for the first few years (financially). When we chose to add to the chaos by having four children we have only ourselves to blame. You must be so pleased to be on your final day at work. Enjoy your time off before your baby arrives.

Nemo: I will post your pretzels later today.

Romilly: WHERE ARE YOU? Hope all is well.

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/05/2006 08:40

Morning ladies. Been ages since I've caught up with this thread. Oh - had a name change btw, so better tell you that this is Tabs!

Can't possibly reply to everything, but wanted to make a suggestion to Nemo re chocolate pretzels. I'm another fan who can't get them here, but have found that if you eat the salted penn state pretzels (from Tesco etc) and lindor chocolates at the same time, then you get the same effect!!

Handbag - sorry to hear about your scare, but glad that all is fine now, and that you can relax for the last few weeks and concentrate on picking a name.

Bella, Debbsy and M&MB - glad that all is progressing well for all of your pregnancies.

Frizbe - we got flat tyre last weekend too. DH dropped me and Pippa off at restaurant in Kew and went to find somewhere to park car, and he came back ages later with filthy hands (and clothes!) - he had decided to park the car next to a high kerb, and rammed it into it, resulting in a big tear. He then managed to not balance it properly on the jack, and it fell off and damaged the trim at the bottom of the car too - arrgghh! At least he changed it though - am sure I would have had to ask for help if it had been me on my own.

Hello to everyone else, and cuddles to all the babies.

Cadmum · 06/05/2006 15:07

Tabs: I love the name change!

Hope you are all well.

Friends of ours (back home) have had their fifth baby this morning. She is their first girl! What a life she will have with four big brothers. They have named her Tatum. Slightly unusual name but it goes well with the other names they have chosen. I am so pleased for them!

Morning ladies

WOW Cadmum, baby number 5 for your friend, total respect!

Well all ok here, bump getting bigger by the day and am feeling lots of movement. I think there is still too much lard for DH to be able to feel anything but hopefully in the next couple of weeks he will be able to.

Tabs / Handbag, good to hear from you guys. Handbag, not long to go until D day….how exciting!

Still 2 weeks to wait until our scan, so want to get it out of the way! Once we have that scan DH and I will start decorating the nursery etc and I am getting really impatient now to get started. Well it will just make it so much more real !!

Well the good weather seems to have departed us for today, totally miserable rain this morning making that Monday morning feeling all the more blue!!

Hope all you lovely ladies are doing well…………..Cad, am wearing the grey wrap around top today and have just had a compliment on how nice it looks!!Grin

Cadmum · 08/05/2006 17:49

Bella: I am so glad that you are getting use (and compliments Smile) out of the clothes!

I can barely believe that we have friends with 5 children! They really wanted a girl so Isuspect that they will now quit but who knows. they jokingly sais that they prefer even numbers...

I am too tired to function today. DS2 was up late after an afternoon nap and dd1 was playing musical beds all night. I need sleep soon.

Hope you are all well.

Munz · 08/05/2006 21:11

Nemo: Thanks! I seem to be having trouble keeping it all together here. Have had a rather teary week-end. (DD1 and DS2 are driving me crazy and DD2 is not sleeping--SNAP munz!) DH was at wor late all last week and in again on Sunday so I am neglecting the kids on my own and our place is a top which really sends me. I have BOUGHT them now I just need to address the package and SEND them.

Must run, Charlie is crying and crying and crying. Might join her...

Bella23 · 09/05/2006 11:00

Golly Gosh Nemo ..........let us know what result you get.

Hope all you lovely ladies are gettting some well deserved sleep xx

Frizbe · 09/05/2006 12:46

Oh Caddy {{{{Big Hugs}}}}} what you need is sleep and a bit of time out on your own by the sounds of it, when is dh off work next? I'm thinking expressed bottles and a hotel! or at least bottles and some retail therepy/a meal out?

Munz you did mail, but before you got them! oh go on then re the welsh cakes Grin

Nemo1977 · 09/05/2006 13:20

aww CAd hun huge hugs to you..is it possible you are suffering a touch of pnd? Especially with all the stress you have had with the pregnancy etc...thinking of you

Ermm so all looks like I am rejoining an antenatal thread..pmsl..now due 2nd Jan ...must be completely bonkers!!!

OP posts:
Cadmum · 09/05/2006 13:36

WOO HOO Nemo! You are outrageously brave in my books! Will that make them 13 months apart? Now you will really need those choccy-pretzels! I have cousins who are 14 months apart and very close. I don't even get my period back for 14 months! (I do breast feed on demand though...)

Thanks for the hugs. I think that I really am too tired and unable to sleep properly because of the impending move and all that entails... Thankfully all of the details are being ironed out and it looks as though it should go smoothly. Just wish I could either hit rewind and start over or fast forward to get through the icky parts.

Charlie was such an agel last night. She slept from 12:30 until 6:15 this morning! I slept like a log. Sadly DH had the alarm set to ring at 5:45 and kept hitting snooze until I went insane after feeding dd2 and then I just got up for the day at 6:30.

I am still waiting for the breastfeeding clothes. Will let you know if they are worth the $$$.

Nemo1977 · 09/05/2006 13:38
