Hey Caddy, (waves!) how you doing?

Cadmum · 02/10/2006 05:07

Thanks for the warm reception. I am having a rather rough go to be honest. I hope to find my feet soon. My mum is no longer in atrial flutter so at least I feel less stressed about things on the other side of the pond. Now to sort out our lives here. DS1 is not very happy and DS2 is miseable. He has not been to nursery for 2 weeks because he stopped eating and became so anemic that he can't stay awake for more than a few hours...

Bella, Thinking of you and your little one. Hope to hear from you soon!

MeAndMyBoy · 02/10/2006 09:44

Oh goodness . Good news about your Mom. If there is anything I can do to help you just let me know. I know there are a couple of people who've sent you parcels of goodies, but if you wanted anything else please just say so.

Take care xx

DebbsyandBibby · 02/10/2006 10:17

they cant make me start mat leave now can they ?as im off sick not pg related though a virus i think.
hey cadmum good to hear from you.

MeAndMyBoy · 02/10/2006 10:19

Don't think they can kick maternity leave in unless the illness is mat related.xx Hang in there and take care - I've got a snotty cold too and feeling very sorry for myself after a night on the sofa trying to get comfy.

Finally here with some news ladies!

Well our little daughter was born on 30th Sept weighing 9 pounds 7 ounces and is absolutely gorgeous!

Am afraid labour was an absolute nightmare of 48 hours ending with an emergency c section.
Little lady was "back to back" and after every drug known to man being given to me (including a mobile epidural) I was still in pain - as if someone was quite literally breaking my back in two!
During c section, epidural block wore off and I started to feel pain, at that point was wondering what i had done in a previous life to warrant such a pain during one childbirth! Surgeon wanted to continue until i pointed out that I could move my legs and therefore could prove the pain was real and not just "pressure".....people suddenly kicked into action then!

Anyway all a memory now as have fallen in love completely with our little one who was soooo worth it.....she's perfect!!

Thank you all so much for all your support, it really has been wonderful. Will post a piccie when am more mobile.

Love to you all xx

Woo Hoo - oh congratulations on the arrival of Tabitha - gorgeous name . So sorry you had such a nightmare labour and delivery - but as you say you have your gorgeous girl with you now.

Congrats from the M&MB house - even Dh has been asking if there was any news over the last couple of days.

Cadmum · 02/10/2006 19:25

Yeah Bella!!! Congratulations from the CadClan!

I am sorry that you had such a horrific time but glad that Tabitha is safe and sound and much loved. Be sure to take care of yourself in the coming weeks.

DS2 was miseable again this afternoon and the GP rang and said that his blood work indicated that his thyroid may be underactive. I am off to the health threads to see if anyone else has heard of similar in a 4 year old.

Cadmum · 02/10/2006 19:27

miserable even. Still can't type with one hand whilst feeding dd2.

georgeandwigglyjake · 02/10/2006 19:37

Bella, huge congratulations to you and your DH. I'm delighted that you have a beautiful little girl and Tabitha is such a lovely name.

Hope you are getting some rest after your extended labour and having lots of cuddles with your little one.

Looking forward to seeing pictures and hearing how you are getting on soon.

yellowbear · 03/10/2006 14:27

Congratulations on the birth of Tabitha! hope you are all doing well.

MeAndMyBoy · 05/10/2006 07:52

Morning all.

Just wanted to check in and see how the new arrival is doing? Hope you are settling in and enjoying having Tabitha at home with you both.

Caddy - hope you are getting some answers for your DS

I think I've worked out that as Tabitha is here that means I'm next?

Cadmum · 05/10/2006 08:52

M&MB Is it you and then Nemo? Or is Debsy second?

Bella: How are you getting on? I hope you are snuggling in bed with your dd.

DS2 is still at home and looking as pale as a ghost. The doctor has consulted with a pead and they think that the values are in keeping with a viral infection that has left him run-down. I am inclined to agree since he ate nothing for 10 days. I just wish that I knew what to do with him because he couldn't manage school in this state but he is not having much fun as mummy's-taxi-helper since all I seem to do is run around after the other 3 and DH...

DS1 continues to find school a challenge in every sense of the word. Poor kid. I feel so badly for him.

DH is off to Geneva for the next "couple of days" and I really don't know how I will cope. I am barely keeping it all together knowing that he is here for me in the evenings and early mornings. FFS! I really need to sort out my so called life. It is not practical to have a break down with 4 children thousands of miles from home.

dramaqueen72 · 05/10/2006 09:15

BELLA!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS! how fab that tab is finally here!
biggest hugs to you and her, looking out for a pic. You so deserve this, I'm delighted.
