Debbsy · 22/05/2006 15:03

tried to do a link failed miserably lol

Frizbe · 22/05/2006 15:38

It's all sounding good there now Debsey! lucky you feeling the baby this early Grin

Bella23 · 22/05/2006 15:44

Debbsy - have replied on your thread, hopefully with lots of words of reassurance![GRIN]

Great to hear from you Handbag - home improvements sound fab!

Caddy - Have you called the Drs?
Sounds like you will have a lovely few days with your friend, lots of gossip and girlie chats, enjoySmile

Frizbe - how funny with the bed wetting. Someone was telling me a story over the weekend of their neice who was left in the car (aged 5) whilst their sibling was dropped off at nursery. Anyway the drop off was delayed and she needed a poo so ended up doing it in her pants and panicked. In the wisdom of a 5 year old decided to try and hide it by squashing it in the air vents!!!!!!!!!!!Shock

Rom - fab to hear from you!! Good luck with the unpacking, at least its quicker than packing the stuff! Arh, sounds like you are completely smitten with your little on, very cuteGrin

Well after discussing my low lying placenta with the midwife this morning she told me worst case scenario would be a hysterectomy during cescarian.....Shock This is very rare and I don't think I really needed to hear this little nugget of info do you!
Went through half an hour of worrying that it won't move up and all is doom and gloom until DH pointed out that its very rare and I have probably the same chance of being hit by a car tomorrow so no point thinking about it!

Well best get back to work...........hope you are all enjoying the usual British Summer (apart from Caddy)......cold, wet and bloody miserable!!

Love to you all xx

Frizbe · 22/05/2006 15:52

Bella23, Yep dh is right, really don't worry about it, I had a low lying one with dd1 and it shifted no probs, it really is very rare that it doesn't move Smile
Shock re your poo story, really wouldn't fancy trying to get that out the vents [yukky emoticon]

Bella23 · 22/05/2006 15:53

Fizbe - thanks for the info, that's good to know.
Apparently they had to sell the car pronto!!

Debbsy · 22/05/2006 15:57

you have reassured me Bella thank you Shock at your mw too they can be very insensitive!! ,my friend had a low lying placenta all the way till a few weeks before then it moved up xx

Cadmum · 22/05/2006 16:08

Hope you are all well. I should be making my home look presentable. but I don't want to so I am playing on MN.

Debbsy: I am off to find your thread. Hope all is well.

Bella your midwife is a COW!!!

I am so tired. DD2 didn't want to sleep last night. I should not have let her sleep all afternoon!

I have not called the doctor. Blush I know that I am a miserable failure but I forgot that DH is in Washington this week (and Vienna next...) so I am waiting until my friend arrives to find out what day and time she can watch my children for me so I can see the doctor.

Bella your midwife is a COW!!!

Debbsy · 22/05/2006 16:13

Cadmum · 22/05/2006 21:04

Frizbe · 23/05/2006 08:36

Caddy ring the Dr's now or the osteopath I don't mind which, now! well ok maybe a bit later on as he won't appreciate the wake up at the mo as your 6hrs behind right!
Handbag any signs?
Rom, lol I know, I should be used to it by now! have you tried different nappies to stem the leaks, pampers are the only thing that work for dd2 (same with dd1) huggies leak like a bugger, as do Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys.....

Bella23 · 23/05/2006 14:32

Caddy - hopefully you have phoned the Dr and have an appointment on the horizon

Debbsy - are you feeling a bit more relaxed today? Still enjoying your flutterings?

Rom - delighted to have you back.

Handbag - wow not long to go for you, any more signs?

Well not a lot else to report, have been out and bought The contented little baby book and the Baby Whisperer book so no doubt going to confuse myself over the next couple of momths!!Grin

Frizbe · 23/05/2006 21:12

Bella Babywhisperer very good, chuck the rest!! Grin
Caddy, docs??
Hi to all, hope you all have good nights, apart from Handbag, who should of course give birth rapidly and painlessly Grin

MeAndMyBoy · 24/05/2006 10:21

Bella if you can take the Contented book back you can have my copy.

I've read both and found the CLB didn't suit us - although did do the black out curtains though and definately helped during the summer.

Have used a bit more from the baby whisperer though did suit us better. But both interesting to read as info to have in the back of your mind to maybe use when you need to.

How's everyone doing? off to see the madwife for the 1st time - different m/wife booked me in so not met my m/wife yet.

17 weeks tomorrow!!! starting to get regulary tickling about 11 am and it's a bit more active about 10/11pm than i remember DS being (gulp)

What did the doc's say Cadmum? nag nag :) hope you're friend is there and you having a good gas.

Rom you sound so happy, so glad you're settled in your new home and so loved up with little Rom :).

Hope everyone else is doing well - we have had about 10 mins of sunshine so far today yippee summers here lol

georgeandwigglyjake · 24/05/2006 14:07

Hello all, A flying visit to try to catch up & to check in on Bella's scan.
Grin so pleased it went OK for you. My it really does seem an age ago now that I was there watching in wonder at the image on the screen.

I'm another follower of the Baby Whisperer, a big NO to Gina Ford from me too. Timetables like hers just don't happen in the real world (plus they don't seem too fun either).
Time still flying and Jakey is 5 months old on the 30th.........how did that happen Shock!!!
Rom, I'm another one not wanting to miss a second. Never thought I would be the maternal type but I'm just so into babies now (especially mine)!! Grin
Love to everyone. I do keep popping back on & having a quick read to try to catch up but please forgive me for not posting more often.
xx

Nemo1977 · 24/05/2006 14:09

quick hello all hope you are al doing great....morning sickness has struck properly today and in all my pregnancies have never done the whole violently ill thing so seems this little tinker wants my last pregnancy to go with a bang..although having been ill 3 times so far today I have just eaten a ton of food..lol

OP posts:
georgeandwigglyjake · 24/05/2006 14:18

Nemo, not sure I said congrats to you.

GrinReally pleased for you although no idea how you cope with being pregnant whilst having little ones.
Think it's just one for the time being for me Smile

Nemo1977 · 24/05/2006 14:23

romilly · 24/05/2006 20:49

hi george! and M&MB! good luck with your midwife visit.

seems like we are all in agreement about the dreaded Gina Ford. i bought both those books and it all sounded fine to me when i was pg. BEFORE i had any baby experience, now i would say chuck it in the bin! if you want to have a chilled contented baby, feed on demand and dont stress yourself with impossible to keep time-keeping routines. babies find their own little routines in time. baby whisperer is much better. i think GF is more for contented parents who want to get their sleep worked out - it is not for the baby at all.

romi slept thru the night last night (a first!) and she is only 9 and a bit weeks Wink and that is with no gina fording.

Frizbe · 24/05/2006 22:02

Rom Grin hurrah, well done Romi! dd2 decided to keep dh awake herd, I slept, lol.....she's taken to playing with her barking doggies on the side of her cot (used to be dd1's from Boots!) they bark differnt tunes, much to her delight, so at 2.30am when for the 1st time in ages she decided to wake for a feed she was playing with them for half hour before I heard her (according to dh Shock) I only woke because she miped! and then once she'd fed and dropped off dh couldn't get back to sleep....awwww....

Nemo, back on the ginger ale for you then Smile

Caddy you been to docs yet?

M&MB hope MW's went ok

Hi George! hope everyone else is ok out there.
