Hope nobody minds me starting a new thread but I only get 5 mins at a time to read and post and the thread is taking me that long to read and then when I click add message it takes forever.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Cadmum · 17/05/2006 23:26

Oh nemo...{{{hugs}}} I so know what you are feeling. I had one late missed m/c between dd1 and ds2 and I was a nervous wreck my entire pregnancy. I did what Friz suggested by being less than honest. I actually told the gp that I was uncertain of dates so was sent for an early/dating scan and then the nuchal fold one at 13 weeks.

Because I went on to have another two m/c after ds2, I was given a scan at nearly every appt with Charlotte (too many IMO).

Please, please try not to worry as some books even claim that stress may be a factor in miscarriages.

Nemo1977 · 18/05/2006 09:46

thanks ladies..still debating what to do..am due to leave in 30mins ish and I really dont know if I want an early scan or not.

Nemo - poor you!!
I reckon lay it on thick with the GP and explain that you need a scan now and at 12 weeks. Explain it will affect your mental health if not.

Try not to worry and remember each pregnancy is different and there is no reason at for anything to go wrong this time. Worry is natural, I am 23 weeks this Friday and still have the odd day of paranioa!

let us know how you get on xx

Munz · 18/05/2006 10:16

hey all quick stop by here from me again,

alls well with us.

nemo - get yourself to the dr's and push for the early scan, as friz says each pg is different so i'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you honney. will they do one at 12 and 20 for you? did you keep your doppler?

hope everyone's ok

caddy - sorry to hear about your medical bills hon - damn DH's work! when do you move again?

deb - woohoo glad all went well for you honney.

bella- good luck for tomorrowe hon if I don't manage to come one then.

Nemo1977 · 18/05/2006 13:54

hi all
munz I sold the doppler when I got to 24 wks as we needed the money.

Well went to drs and decided not to ask for early scan. What will be will be..so I am seeing mw in 2 wks and should have scan date for in 3 wks ish so its not that long. GP gave me the edd of 02.01.07..eek

Thiking of you today Bella! Really hoping that you spend the afternoon in the shops! Can't wait to see your scan picture. I also hope that you were not too stressed to sleep last night.

Cadmum · 19/05/2006 02:41

Thinking even Blush I really need to proof read when I type single handed...

Bella23 · 19/05/2006 09:59

Thanks ladies, will e-mail when I get back.
Cad - its chucking it down here but yes might manage to purchase a little outfit as a treat afterwards!!

Cadmum · 19/05/2006 13:38

It rained and rained here yesterday. My poor children were so wet they may as well have jumped in the River. I felt like the world's worst mother for being caught out there with no jackets for the older three. I only had one umbrella and I couldn't really let Charlie get soaked so we tried to all hudddle underneath but to no avail. (Baby was in her sling.)

My leg has gotten worse (if that is even possible) so now I am exhausted through and through. My parents flew back from Australia yesterday and my mun just went insane when I told her that I hadn't been to the Dr about it. Thanks mumNOT! I did have a 'light-bulb' moment just before I went to bed last night thoughI can remember hurting my leg/lower back in labour. The @$@#$$#%@ nurse would NOT allow me off the bed and the moniter kept slipping off the baby so I was being a contortionist desperately seeking comfort. I still can't think about the entire experience without nearly crying.

Bella23 · 19/05/2006 14:34

Scan news - ALL FAB !! Am soooo relieved!
Scan went well with no problems although have a low lying placenta which means I have to re-scanned at 31 weeks. She reckoned in 95% of cases this righted itself so am not going to worry about that for now.
Didn't want to find out the sex but the guy did say "well done little lad" at one point so could be a slip and we are indeed having a boy!! My gut instict is always that its been a boy but hey will have to wait until September to find out.

Caddy - so you are still in pain? Poor you, what is the plan?

Cadmum · 19/05/2006 14:56

Woo Hoo! Woo Hoo! Oh yeah! I am torn between doing a dance and shouting from the rooftop! I am so glad that all is well with your litte 'lad'. Too bad about the slip...

Cadmum · 19/05/2006 15:00

I meant to add that I don't actually have a plan. This morning I am just trying not to cry... Your great news helps!!

hi beanie buddies and babes - i have missed you all sooooo much and i havent had time to catch up with the thread yet! finally i am back on line, we have moved and are slowly trying to plough through the boxes of unpacking.

bella i just saw your scan news - fab!!! well done you.

nemo - did i spot something about a BFP???!!!!!!!!!!!!Shock must go read about what you've been up to.

caddy - have you moved yet? if not when?

munz - missed you hon. hope joey is well.

any news from wendy?

big hellos to friz, george and dqueen too.

romi is still breathtakingly beautiful and has me totally captivated all day every day! she is growing so fast though, i dont want to miss a second of this time. hence not a lot of time on MN i'm afraid.

love to all x

Cadmum · 21/05/2006 17:37

Welcome back Romilly! I hope the move went as smoothly as possible.

We sure have missed you. Your post nearly made me cry... You sound like such an amazing mum. Romi is blessed to have you.

Good luck catching up! I can barely keep up.

We don't move until July 1. That means that we will be back in Canada from the 23rd of June because we are moving from there. DH will be in Vienna next week so we will possibly know more about finding a place to live etc etc...

I will call the Dr on Monday. Really, I will.

We have an amazing friend coming to stay with us this week (DS2's godmother) and I am so excited because she has never been to New York and is only able to come because we are here. She stayed with us for a while in London and was there when DS2 was born... If I am not online then it is only because we are busy sipping tea and chatting or running around NYC.

Frizbe · 22/05/2006 06:57

Caddy hope you have a fabby time with your friend Smile make sure you call the Dr's today cause otherwise auntie Friz will be very cross Wink as will the rest of us on here Grin

M&MB glad you enjoyed baby show, hope you did too Debsey, I'd have liked to go, but was ss's birthday, so been busy all weekend doing things to do with that! DD1 doesn't like his new Darlek tho.....(bless only a small remote controlled thing!)

Rom, great to hear from you again, glad the move went well Smile

Hi to Munz, Nemo, DQ, CSWS and anyone else out there!

DD1 did a corker last night, so whaddya do when your aged two, and bored in bed, why you strip of course,(dd1 potty trained during day, but still in nappies at night) then you carry on playing quietly so mum and dad don't notice, until oopse you need the loo, you can't get out of bed, cause they'll know your awake and they'll stop you playing, so......obviously you wee in the bed....then think better and start yelling for your mummy and daddy Shock thankfully I've been leaving a wet sheet thing under the covers just in case, phew!

HandbagAddiction · 22/05/2006 12:06

Morning ladies! Just a quick one from me - I obviously have some serious catching upto do which will take me ages! No news at all with one week to go - not even a sniff of a braxton hicks contraction, so I'm pretty resigned to probably going overdue again. Didn't have access to the PC all last week as our front room was completely covered in dust sheets whilst the builders ripped out our patio doors, built the bay back and put a fanastic wooden sash window. Results are awesome but you would not believe the amount of dust that's been created?!

Been making the most of my time off though. dd has only been into nursery for 3 days for the past two weeks and we've been doing loads of lovely things - mainly around catching up with friends and touring coffee bars for lunch etc. Also managed to pack in a pedicure and a facial last week too!

Lovely to see this thread still alive and well. Now that I have PC access again, I'll definitely keep you updated with any news...

I'm off to catch up with all of your news now....but in the meantime - hope you're all OK.

More later....

Debbsy · 22/05/2006 14:49

has anyone seen my other thread about my fears and my bloody midwife, feel so pissed off right now and upset. Will catch up on everyones news later when i have calmed down.
