So my last period was the 10th of june.
I have a 30 day cycle and ovulate around day 21. I went to A&E last wednes day (18th june) with water infection. They tested my pee and it was clear.
They booked me a scan for last friday (20th june)..they did internal scan and nothing was seen in my womb or tubes i had bloods and they came back at 2483...they are saying that a sac should at least be seen when levels are at 1500. im so confused, how am i pregnant yet there is nothing there? i now have to wait for friday for a rescan. this is my fourth pregnancy

Johosm2 your probably right, they didn't say that but now you've said it, that makes sense. They also said there was blood in my uterus, but I've had no bleeding. Today my tummy is sore to touch, so I think I need to be realistic, as all signs are pointing towards an ep. It breaks my heart, but at least they have found something wasn't right before things get dangerous. That's ladies as this post is helping me so much. I will keep you updated xx

Jwarburton · 14/11/2017 10:28

Thanks scottishmammy, you never know! I will try and be positive! Maybe it's the cyst causing my pain as I've had no bleeding. I will find out tomorrow, I presume!
I'm so happy for you tho scottishmammy, please keep us updated, right up until your bundle of joy is here 😘🤗🤗

Just an update really, on Monday before my appointment to check my bloods I collapsed at home. They admitted me and said it looks likely to be ectopic. They said my levels were actually 6700 and someone had told me wrong previously. They took my bloods again and they were 9000. They said with all my symptoms and the levels not doubling they feel I needed to go in for surgery. This morning I went down to theatre for a laparoscopy (cut tummy and camera inside) and had to sign all the forms to agree to have my Fallopian tube removed if they found anything. However when I came around the consultant showed me pictures she had taken from inside. There was no ectopic pregnancy and my tubes were healthy. She said my womb looks as I would if I was pregnant. There for I have been booked in for another scan on Monday, and just pray to god they see something. Wow it has been a roller coaster! Thanks for the support ladies xx

ScottishMammy · 17/11/2017 07:37

Jwarburton - Your nerves must be shattered! I really thought that’s what they were going to do for me on Monday when they finally saw the sac.
I know you still have so many unanswered questions but at least no sight of baby at the moment might be a good sign? I’m keeping everything crossed for you. I have my scan this morning to check if a yoke sac has appeared. I will let you know how I get on xxx

JoJoSM2 · 17/11/2017 09:03

Jwarburton, what a nightmare! Have they looked elsewhere? Ectopics can settle not only in the tubes but on ovaries and even in the liver. I hope Monday has some answers for you as hCG of 9000 is really high - in many pregnancies there would be a heartbeat at that point!

ScottishMammy · 17/11/2017 11:45

They could see a yoke sac Smile!! They’ve now ruled out ectopiccand will scan in 2 weeks to see progress. We’re so relieved!

Jwarburton - I’m keeping everything crossed for you that this has a good outcome for you too xxxx

Positive pregnancy test on the 1st feb 2018, slight bleed on 8/2/18 so checked out at the hospital. Only to find that there was no baby visible on the screen 😔 They did did a small sac but they can’t even confirm if it’s a gestational sac or not. Bloods taken on 8/2/18 hcg came back at 7800, more bloods today came back at over 9000 but still no viable GS on screen! By my (unreliable) period dates I think I’m around 7 weekend pregnant but with hcg that high they think I’m further along but that should mean they should see more on the scan. Going back in one week for re scan. Anyone else had a similar situation ??

Jwarburton · 09/02/2018 19:16

Please just hold out unless your levels start to drop, do not do anything. They couldn’t see anything on my scan and my levels were rising, I was pushed into having an abortion because they said it might be a molar pregnancy, and when the histology results came back after the d and c they had made a mistake and it was a baby. Please hold out a few weeks as I’m sure it’s fine, sometimes at this early stage some babies don’t fit into a catagory and take a bit longer at different stages! I’m sure it will be fine x

MagicalCreatures · 09/02/2018 22:05

Oh my god Jwarburton
Are you’d aying after everything you went through, there was a healthy baby and you were rushed into getting rid of it. That’s just awful.
I was made to wait til I was 9 weeks pregnant til they would help me abort, after finding that the pregnancy was unlikely to be viable, as it had been known for hospitals to ‘accidentally’ abort a healthy baby too early.
I know a molar pregnancy is very dangerous but I can’t believe they did that to you without being 100% certain. Are you ok?

Jwarburton · 10/02/2018 06:43

Hi thanks for your message, I’m trying to move on from the whole experience, and after having my af this month I think my husband and I are going to try again next month. We have both really struggled with getting our heads round everything. I’m still cross with myself as after the laparoscopy, the day before they booked me in for a d and c, I was sat on my bed crying, thinking, I don’t feel like anything is wrong, in myself my intuition said everything was fine, but then I thought and I just being one of these woman who hangs on to something I want so bad, and I had to trust the professionals, especially when they said it was dangerous... but now I wish I had stood my ground for a few more weeks. 😩
But I am trying to not think like that, I do know if I do get pregnant again, I will not allow anything medically to happen unless my hcg levels are dropping. Xxx

MagicalCreatures · 10/02/2018 16:17

Jwarburton I am so sorry you went through that. How awful.
I know High HCG is a sign of a molar pregnancy, and also from what I’ve researched in the past can also be a sign of Down’s syndrome or multiples. But I do think they should have given you more time. Do not blame yourself. You were only going by what the experts were saying. But that is exactly why my hospital made me wait (which I hated at the time) but Im glad I did as atleast i could be 100% sure I wasn’t terminating a healthy pregnancy.
Intuition is a very powerful thing as I knew the moment I got my BFP that something wasn’t right. I didn’t get my hopes up from the start.
But the only thing I can suggest from this awful situation is we learn from these things. By no account was any of it your fault, but now you have a solid reason and belief to stand by your intuition in the future and to request more information.
My heart goes out to you. You will be ok though. You can conceive and things only make us stronger. Sending big hugs x

I have read every post on here in the hope of finding answers, it's good to know I'm not alone in this, but I really feel for all of you. I am eight weeks pregnant or not, just not sure how far now, I began to have light spotting but I have not had any pain or passed any clots, I have had two scans and they are inconclusive and my blood hormone was 10,235 then 48 hours later went up to 12,598 then yesterday it was 17,368 not rising fast enough apparently, I still feel pregnant and I have sore breasts and am having morning sickness, I keep getting mixed views from the hospital and they don't seem to have a clue, I have an emergency appointment at different hospital tomorrow and I prey she sees a baby, a healthy baby, its so stressful not having a clue what's going on, anyone think there's hope????

TwinMumma09 · 01/03/2018 06:14

PINK12345 · 04/06/2018 21:33

Hi I'm hoping someone can help me. Feeling heartbroken 💔. Went through a frozen embryo transfer ivf. Had a positive hcg test 3 weeks ago. Repeated the HCG a week later and they said my levels were so high that it indicated a multiple pregnancy. Today we had our scan at 7 weeks +3 and everything is normal and good but sac with no baby 😢. They repeated my my hcg levels today. They rang tonight and they said my levels are over 48,000. I'm so confused. There telling me not to get my hopes up. And these high levels are not good. Please I hope someone can help 😣. I have gotta go back next Tuesday for another scan x it's killing me I'm a emotional wreck 😭

Jayneelizabeth · 31/07/2018 23:51

Can anyone help...so far on here I’ve found hope. So last Tuesday I went to doctors as I had found out I was pregnant the week before. I’d been having pains no bleeding on left side of abdomen doctor referred me to hospital I went hcg levels 2,000+ had scan no yolk just sac...few days late more bloods hcg gone up to 6460 yesterday (Monday) I went in more blood and internal scan Hcg had gone up to 11793 internal scan shown a growth on or something on right ovary and a small growth in Fallopian tube and a gestational sac no yolk in my womb. Doctors wanted to keep me in for emergency surgery told I’m having ectopic pregnancy still no bleeding internal or out due to child care issues I had to come home. I’ve been absolutely heartbroken not slept a wink had to go in this morning (Tuesday) for emergency operation I’ve felt like I’ve grieved as my body has changed my breasts have filled and sore I am feeling pregnant I have two children already sonknow the signs I knew before I’d even done test. The operation went ahead and absolutely nothing not even a cyst has been found anywhere in the areas the whole of reproductive organs have been searched and nothing. I am totally baffled and what makes it even more scary doctors can’t seem to identify what’s going on and my HCG has gone up again but nurses didn’t tell me what too. I am home now and I am scared out of my wits I don’t know what to think. According to my estimations I am about 5-6 weeks pregnant. And the same results from a clear blue pregnancy test and according to scan I was 5 weeks last Tuesday? Anyone had this experience and had a happy ending? Thank you in advance. X

toots123 · 19/08/2018 12:07

@scottishmammy how did things go in the end?

Like others above we are going through similar and are very stressed!
Hcg has doubled and they could see a sac but nothing in it. Another scan tomorrow Confused

ScottishMammy · 19/08/2018 13:28

Our wee boy was born 4th July, healthy and happy :)! It was a very stressful time but thankful all worked out for us. I’ll jeep everything crossed for you tomorrow xx

Swallow86 · 17/11/2018 09:10

Hi I’m really struggling to come to terms with this, can anyone help? I’m 5 weeks pregnant and started very light bleeding last Thursday 8/11/18. I had bloods done on the 14/11/18 and they was 2700 due to my bleeding being heavy and with clots. I was booked in for a internal scan and more bloods for the 16-11-18 and my bloods raised to 3500 but nothing is seen on the scan. I do have a tilted uterus and they struggled to even see inside. They told me I had a cyst at the top which was not a baby and also said that there didn’t seem to be anything in my tubes. They called me back into hospital with my bloods been high to tell me it is a pregnancy of a unknown location. And I’d have to have this injection called methotrexate to basically kill the pregnancy off. I explained I did not want this injection as if they can’t tell me where it is then to me it could be in the right place. I’m back on Sunday for some more bloods and take it from there but they said if they still don’t see anything then it must be in injection. Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks

So I am totally freaking out. I am having some cramping and muscle pains. I should be about 9 weeks pregnant I'm testing positive and I went to get checked today. My HCG level is 3200 but they can not see anything in my uterus. I'm going in to get a scan tomorrow at the hospital. I have felt awful for weeks now and am just really worried something is wrong. I got my IUD removed in July after 4 years due to complications and was on the pill for 1 month. I just want to know what is going on and why she cant see anything. I have been in tears and praying all night that my baby is okay. There is some type of fluid in my uterus area she thinks it may be a ruptured cyst. What is going on???

Chanelg284 · 29/11/2018 10:08

Hi Everyone, not sure if anyone is similar to me on here. But here is my story....
I was diagnosed with PCOS and pituitary tumour, had 6 rounds of clomid which was unsuccessful so me and my partner were planning on IVF for 2019, anyway I missed a period and just though nothing of it as my pcos can make this happen, I decided to take a pregnancy test anyway and I couldn’t believe it it was postive. So I did another 3 and all postive. Went for an early pregnancy scan as it would indicate I was nearly 7 weeks pregnant. They told me at the scan that there was a sac but the lining was really thin and if I was 7 weeks it should be a lot thicker and she couldn’t confirm if it was a pregnancy, a miscarriage or eptopic. So I went and had bloods done and they came back 2000+ which they said that means I am pregnant but still can’t confirm if it’s a viable pregnancy and need to go back 48 hours later to have more to see if they have a risen. (This is tomorrow) and they have also booked me in for another scan on December 11th. I am not feeling very hopeful after the ladies reaction to what she found on the scan. I can’t rest until I know and reading some of your posts makes me think they aren’t always right in what they are saying but I’m gap confused what to think. X

Chanelg284 · 29/11/2018 10:09

Sorry spell check meant so not gap 🤦🏼‍♀️

Staceyb90 · 07/01/2019 23:56

I’m driving myself crazy my hCG has gone from 3499 to 14492 in 72 hours but scan only shows gestational sac so they suspected ectopic I’ve had surgery to find to ectopic pregnancy and the pregnancy is where it should be has anyone had similar and gone on to have a healthy baby? (Having a really tough time as planned this pregnancy and being told it was definitely ectopic to find it isn’t has me all over emotionally) x

Hi, just joined to ask and read other experiences really.

I’m a mum of two already 7 & 8 they will be at the end of feb and them pregnancies had there ups and downs but in general were healthy baby babies now I went to change to a coil and couldn’t as cysts on my ovaries, so I got the implant and got my cysts looked at and they had dissolved themselves and weren’t there anymore. Once I had all clear coil was put in. 4 years later I get with a new partner and my coil dislodges and apparently I’m pregnant all a big shock but hey ho, book me in for a scan no sign of baby this was 27th September 2017. So I go about getting more contraceptive put in to cover me but had to wait for a period but as I had my coil it stopped them completely, 15th - 17th October I bleed and have a fairly light 3 day period which I thought okay great can finally get something put in so November appointment was booked for while I was on.... no period showed 🤔

On the 13th of November I had a light, light bleed that was no longer than 12 hours and didn’t really fill a sanitary towel. So I was wondering and tracking my body as I had sore breasts, period cramps and all symptoms of period but just got more light through the day.

12th of December comes along and I bleed during sex but nothing before or after, and as my partner are still in honeymoon period we are everyday still so this continued only during sex for three days so 12th - 15th December I did pregnancy test on 15th and it was negative.

19th December I retested as didn’t wanna drink if I had a little one to think about and a strip came back positive so the next day 20th December I went mad, 1 clearblue digital including weeks, 2 first response & 3 strip all came back positive.
21st December again 1 clear blue digital positive and 1 first response and 2 strip all positive.

Goes from what we think my dating scan should be, going from my period which was 15th October on 9th January and they say I have no baby inside.

She said my bladdered wasn’t full when I went in but was brushing for a wee, had all pregnancy symptoms even increased hair, white discharge, sore & bigger boobs, gained weight, sickness, tidness to the max and i’m so confused why would this be?!

I’ve always been told you can’t get a false positive but now gynaecology has been instructed to review me ?!

After this time we really got excited and I even told my children. They re completing more bloods and sending me for a smear but pregnancy makes a smear inconclusive so I don’t know anyone out there had this and know what to do to settle your mind?

Even tried to drown my upsetness and after 4 vodkas I was throwing up for three hours then the next day was really sick can’t win 🤨

Mil200912 · 28/01/2019 22:38

Hi can anyone help me, I have had 5+ positive pregnancy test, after 4 days of cramping and back pain I went to a&e. I ended up having both scans, and nothing was found on any I had my bloods today and my hgc level was only 550 is this normal? My clear blue test says 3 weeks but I know 2 weeks are added on from your last period so the docs think I’m 5 weeks today. This is my first pregnancy the doctor told me the reason nothing was seen is because to see something your levels need to be at least 1500, my pain started in my left side and is now in my right. I have to wait to see if my levels rise over the next few days when I go back and if they don’t they’re saying it’s an ectopic pregnancy. Has anyone experienced this before as I’m only 19 and have no idea. Thankyou
