Can I just have a moan please? (feel free to join in)
Am due mid Sept (32 weeks) and hospital keep giving me extra scans only to tell me again that my baby is 'quite large' The consultant estimated 7.5lbs already this week.
The thing is they kept telling me that about DS1 a couple of years back and frankly I don't really know what I am supposed to do about it!
Am bloody huge already and feel like crap as I've had a cold for the last month which DH has now come down with (but obvs man flu is so much worse poor thing!).
Can't sleep at night due to blocked nose and coughing and to top it off have mild SPD - physio says to avoid walking and running - easier said than done with an active 2 year old to look after.
Sad FFS!

My moan is having no energy to even wash up and i'm 15 weeks so supposed to be 'blooming' Hmm

ArtyJennie · 20/07/2012 12:42

I'll join u with a moan. I'm 35weeks, time is standing still. Low iron making me feel exhausted and supplements making me even more constipated! Pelvic pain and a massive waddle. Insomnia and constant trips to the loo at night. Dd1 (4) has finished school for the summer and is bored already- I feel too rubbish to venture far. Bored bored bored!!

At least the evil cold I had last week has subsided'

Bubbless · 20/07/2012 12:56

im going with hormonalhell 17 weeks and can barely summon the energy to move!

gardenpixies32 · 20/07/2012 12:59

I have a nasty cold too. So bunged up and coughing all night. Working full time is not helping either.

Had a big sobbing cry last night when DP said he understands how I am feeling!!! HE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND HOW I AM FEELING! He is not carrying twins, the size of a bus, have an achey bump and feeling like shit with this awful cold. He is sorry now and admits that he will NEVER know how it feels.

On a more positive not, 3 weeks until glorious maternity leave and rest rest rest!

Notgrownupinmyhead · 20/07/2012 13:02

Im another one with a bloody cold. 7 weeks to go and feeling like crap. Mum has just taken ds1 4 for the night and ive just put ds2 whose 10m in bed for a sleep so i can have an hour or so to myself sat in bed with chocolate.

No more after this!!

Spice17 · 20/07/2012 13:31

Oh good, thanks OP, my moans today are as follows:

  1. horrible, strechy, pulling pains at the bottom of bump so I walk like a pissed duck and stuggle to get up, walk down stairs etc

  2. Boss asking me to move desks this pm to sit opposite her, currently at a desk in her eyeline approx 6 feet away. Great, I'll just carry boxes, get under the desk and sort out the cabling etc - only here for another 6 weeks ffs! Angry

  3. Maternity cover starting on Mon 6 weeks before I go off, will feel like a massive spare part and now can't even go on MN etc as will be sitting in middle of the room at my 'lovely, bigger new desk'

  4. Finally, totally skint and fed up with having to buy crappy items I don't want like maternity bras!

Sorry - maybe I should go for a long walk! Nice to know we're all in the same boat though :)

victoriassponge · 20/07/2012 20:05

@notgrownup: Oooh chocolate in bed sounds like a good plan!

@gardenpixies: SO bloody annoying when people (particularly DHs) say they know how you feel!

And what's with all the colds???

The3Bears · 20/07/2012 21:04

I'll join you, 37 weeks here also have a terrible cold which kept me awake nearly all night aswell as the horrible cough i've had for the past 4 weeks! So fed up of it all, have had really uncomfortable tightenings all day and just burst into tears when dp came home from work :( ds who is 5 is being a little star though and has been no trouble whatsoever :)

shouldIbecrossaboutthis · 20/07/2012 22:05

My moan is that I haven't kept any food down for the past 31 weeks and I'm thoroughly fed up of the sickness now. Today has been particularly awful and for the last few days I've had terrible pelvis pain. I would quite like to throw myself on the floor really and have a screaming raging tantrum. Sad

Notgrownupinmyhead · 20/07/2012 23:48

Shouldbe - have a screaming fit. I do all the time. That sucks not bring able to keep anything down! Cant dr do owt!

Im still going to moan about feeling shite, snot is just dripping out Confused

Notgrownupinmyhead · 20/07/2012 23:49

3bears i haven't a clue where all these bloody colds have come from but its rubbish!!

AKMD · 20/07/2012 23:56

My moan is that I had a 4D scan today and it was utterly awful to the point that I've spent most of the evening crying about it :(

AKMD · 21/07/2012 00:03

*Just to add, baby is fine.

Bubbless · 21/07/2012 09:24

AKMD- why was the scan so bad?! me and DP are considering getting one..?

Clarella · 21/07/2012 11:00

Yes I want a moan but it would be too long so I'm just gonna

Moooooooaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnn.

There.

Intrigued by 4 d scan awfulness too?

AKMD · 21/07/2012 11:01

A number of reasons really. It was rushed - in and out in 10 minutes. The baby wasn't in a good position so the sonographer kept shaking me really roughly and poking the baby, which was just horrible. It felt very intrusive and I left feeling like I'd been assaulted. It was supposed to include a gender scan but the sonographer ignored my request to check and we ended up arguing over whether it was included or not. In the end she told us but she didn't show us anything or explain.

Honestly, I'm tearing up just writing this. It was horrible, intrusive, humiliating and I left feeling like I'd just paid £100 to be assaulted. Typically I was too shocked to say anything at the time :( I've emailed them to say how awful it was so we'll see what they come back with.

Bubbless · 21/07/2012 11:06

that sounds horrible AKMD!?
what company was that with!?

Scarredbutnotbroken · 21/07/2012 11:08

25 weeks. Single. Being pursued by a man but feel too much like an egg on legs to do much about it!

Struggling to get up the stairs at work and finding driving v tiring Sad

Clarella · 21/07/2012 11:09

I'm starting to think those companies capitalise on pregnant women's anxieties cos they know we'll pay for peace of mind and from sheer excitement.

Clarella · 21/07/2012 11:10

Ps v shocked AKMD, what an arsehole.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 21/07/2012 14:03

AM - what a total twat! I had my belly jiggled but was asked first then the sonographer spoke to the bump to ask him to move. I hope you at least get your money back. Its supposed to be a magical experience. Grrrrrr

Scarred- you'll be just fine on your own, as for your stalker turn him into your man servant.

Im still feeling really rubbish. Just eating a nice pie.

Scarredbutnotbroken · 21/07/2012 14:20

AKMD - sorry you had such a crap experience. Write a stinking complaint - they should be offering you a new appt with someone else free. I complained about crap service when I was pg with dd and I ended up with a few vouchers etc.

baileyslover · 21/07/2012 14:27

Ooh can I join in? 31 weeks with triplets and officially ginormous. Legs and hips hurt when I lie down, pelvis when I am sitting or standing. Heartburn and constant need to pee. Most recently however now got rib pain and a super itchy bump. Not to mention the tiredness. Aaargh roll on 2 1/2 weeks Smile

loveschocolate · 21/07/2012 15:33

12 weeks and nauseous, feeling fat, had the squits and allergic rhinitis is back with a vengeance. Meant to be going to a leaving do tonight and really don't feel up to it...... \Feels better to have that off my chest. Moan over.
