Can I just have a moan please? (feel free to join in)
Am due mid Sept (32 weeks) and hospital keep giving me extra scans only to tell me again that my baby is 'quite large' The consultant estimated 7.5lbs already this week.
The thing is they kept telling me that about DS1 a couple of years back and frankly I don't really know what I am supposed to do about it!
Am bloody huge already and feel like crap as I've had a cold for the last month which DH has now come down with (but obvs man flu is so much worse poor thing!).
Can't sleep at night due to blocked nose and coughing and to top it off have mild SPD - physio says to avoid walking and running - easier said than done with an active 2 year old to look after.
Sad FFS!

Notgrownupinmyhead The one week countdown begins Grin (only slightly envious :P)

After a morning of cleaning, I am now going to have a soak in the bath tub, then my in-laws and DH's siblings are coming over for lunch Shock

I am going to be so knackered by tonight :(

Notgrownupinmyhead · 02/09/2012 19:23

Ill go over. Or pop when my mum goes away on Saturday Angry

milk · 03/09/2012 08:58

You might not :) Be positive! Grin

I started contractions with DS1 at 39+5, and gave birth 40+1 :)

I have a horrid cold, none of my maternity clothes fit me, pregnancy acne all over my face, I have terrible gas... and 4 more weeks to go :( runs off to cry

Snowgirl83 · 03/09/2012 15:06

a) am hijacking. Don't worry- this is part of my problem too- I've turned into the most impatient whingy old crone who doesn't care if people are offended by me (JESUS! Of course Santa isn't real & no, the tooth fairy isn't either rolls eyes)
and have developed an irrational hatred of earth mother types. Purely because all I am deeply envious of their ability to bloom and grow (like the soundtrack to the Sound of Music- in my head happy, earth mothery types are all cavorting down Austrian mountains with arms thrown out joyfully, clutching a baby to the breast and fondly stroking their bumps. Needless to say pregnancy hasn't affected me thus).
b) I grew out of my maternity clothes at 7 months and was told by DH that this was "predictable".
c) getting down to naughty business is impeded by my apparent leaking from left nipple. Not particularly seductive. Then, neither is "oh! It'll be fine [in response to how before bf he may have to help me express a little bit] - my family is in dairy farming'.
d) I'm actually huge now. Noone knew I was pregnant till 8 months, and in the past 2 weeks I have doubled in size and can't see my toes.
e) Even my parents, when visiting for the first time in 3 months, exchanged looks and took me to one side to suggest that it wasn't the best idea to "let myself go" before the baby is here.
e) And I really really want this nesting instinct to kick in!!!

Notgrownupinmyhead · 03/09/2012 15:10

I dont feel like this one wants to make an appearance soon. Done loads today too. We'll see!! You any better?

Notgrownupinmyhead · 03/09/2012 15:13

I do have the shits if that makes you both feel better?? Grin

Im still purple all over too.

Dairy Farming? Excellent. How can you let yourself go doing that for a living?

Snowgirl83 · 03/09/2012 15:52

Ha, oh I'm sorry notgrownupinmyhead, but you do have my sympathy. All I can say is thank christ I don't have those as at the moment the builder is rebuilding the bathroom. And toilet, necessitating a lockdown on liquids whilst inside the house.

I steer well away from the side of the family that dairy farm (mostly because I want to be guzzling back copious amounts of cider whilst gamboling around a paddock) so I am now seeing the errors of my ways & making up for it by standing outside to get that healthy country glow. Shame it doesn't work in the city & I get blocked pores which really accentuate the pregnancy acne.

I like this idea of counting down in days. 37 to go...

Notgrownupinmyhead · 03/09/2012 19:41

It is kind of funny though. Just another thing on the list of things to moan about.

Mmmm Cider. Its been years. Grin

Your lucky yer guts are ok then!!
