skipped that bit!

used2bthin · 15/06/2012 14:04

I plan on doing just that dairy! Already been at it! Poor you really hope the cramps come to soemthing. I am crampy too. So good to hear the positive induction stuff.

Right am off now so fingers crossed I won't be back later crying that they have sent me home!

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 16:22

Thinking of you usedto hope it's going ok x

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 16:28

Ok so latest efforts include curry last night, clary sage on bump today, several cups of raspberry leaf tea and ball bouncing.. Can't say I'm not trying!

How is everyone else doing?

rrrayray · 15/06/2012 16:37

Hi all

Dairy - am with you. Thrown everything at this comfy baby. Had acupuncture this morning to boot. Nothing shifting this baby!

Usedtobe - hope your off and on way to meeting baby now!!!! Hope all goes smoothly!!!

McKayz · 15/06/2012 16:42

Used I hope all is going well!

I have given up doing anything. I have had curries, spicy fajitas, I walk about 2 miles a day, I take 4 raspberry leaf tablets a day, bath in clary sage daily, cover my bump in it and bounce on the ball.

So I have decided to do bugger all as nothing is helping me!!

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 17:09

I have to agree ladies, nothing works!! I had my day of contractions the morning after my clary sage bath but I now realise that was just coincidence as I've rubbed it on my bump and sniffed it since and nothingAngry

McKayz think I'm gonna take a leaf out of your book tonight and do naff allGrin

McKayz · 15/06/2012 17:10

Maybe we'll both have babies. Maybe doing nothing is the new doing something!

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 17:12

I have a box of tofiffee with my name on itSmile

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 17:15

MaybeSmile

McPhee · 15/06/2012 18:30

I had my consultant appointment this morning, and I'm now due to be induced next friday. Even though I'm only 37 weeks today, my fluid level has risen again and I'm measuring a whopping 41 weeks Shock

An end is in sight, and now I can be assured that DP will be able to be here in time.

And breathe........

StarlightOverJuicy · 15/06/2012 18:38

Baby Asteroid was born this morning at 8:14 ! 8lb 9oz

Born at shift changeover when Mws having brought no less than 5 bottles of gas and air but forgotten the tube meant that once arrived (8:05) spent most of the time in the driveway calling colleagues whilst I gave birth to the head.

So, totally hands off almost unassisted birth but with mw close by. Practically perfect but for the lack of gas and air. They were very generous with it after the birth though for after pains and just for being a bit sore.

LauraSmurf · 15/06/2012 18:49

Yahey!! I have been lurking with extreme sympathy on here the last few days. I remember the frustration so clearly!

Congratulations baby asteroid! (ps please keep that name, it's amazing Wink )

Everyone else: it will happen, I know you don't believe it and would probably quite like to smack me for saying that! But it will happen, just not to your timetable sadly Sad

rrrayray · 15/06/2012 19:17

Congratulations starlight!!!!

sewingandcakes · 15/06/2012 19:20

Great news, starlight, well done!

I've also decided today to do nothing to try and bring labour on - i'm just carrying on as though i'm not 41 weeks pregnant and trying to distract myself!

I did some cleaning and shopping today and I'm going to make a plan for each day so I don't sit at home brooding :)

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 19:33

Wow, massive congratulations Star!! Well doneGrin No gas n air?! You're a stronger woman than me! Hope you're enjoying lots of cuddlesSmile

Lucietea · 15/06/2012 19:54

I had my baby! I went into labour on Sunday night and he was born on Monday evening at 7.12pm. It was a bit traumatic in the end- emergency spinal and forceps because my contractions had stopped and despite a valiant effort, the pushing wasn't happening. He turned into wrong position and was massive. But to put anyone's mind at rest for other overdue mums, it was amazing to just get him out, couldn't feel a thing once they did the injection and there's nothing to worry about. So if things don't go to plan, just know it'll be over soon enough. He was a whopper at 9 pound 4 ounces. Sorry it's taken me so long to let you know what happened.. I actually tried posting when my contractions started out of the blue but they speeded up so fast I couldn't type! I went from first dull period pain ache to going into hospital with strong regular contractions every 3 minutes in 4 hours. So don't give up hope ladies- I was one day away from being induced and it happened on its own!!
Good luck everyone. And congratulations to all those with new babies

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 20:06

Massive congratulations LucieGrin! Well done! What a weightSmile So pleased for you.

Your story gives me hope I might just go in to labour... Maybe.. Smile

rrrayray · 15/06/2012 20:12

Ah the birth announcements are finally arriving. Those babies do want to
Come out After all.

Congratulations Lucie! Hope your enjoying baby snuggles xxxx

DairyNips · 16/06/2012 02:54

Keep getting woken by contractions, they're not that close but last few lasted a minute each. I hope they don't just keep me awake all night then disappear againHmm

used2bthin · 16/06/2012 04:32

wow star aand lucie congratulationn. just aa shhort mmessagge as am on hospital internet and its hard work but dairy i am with you on the being woken by contractions. had gel at 8lasst night and having contractions every 3to 4 minshave progressed too 2ccms but thats still only what most2nd timers ar anyway. hoping for more progress before they break my watters because its so painful just having my cervix reached.

DairyNips · 16/06/2012 04:36

usedto glad something is happening. Hope you get your wish and you progress more before they try to break your waters.

I'm so hungry but don't want to wake the boys, I'm gonna have to eat something!!!

DairyNips · 16/06/2012 05:22

Went to the loo then sat up in bed as I've given up on sleep and guess what? No contraction for 23minsSad I am so frustrated now I could cry. I have been awake since 2am and thought something was happening but all that has happened is I am tired and they have stopped again.

StarlightWithAsteroid · 16/06/2012 06:17

DN

I had the same as you. Periods of hope. 2 weeks ago I had BH strong enough to have to concentrate and not able to talk. Ever 2 minutes for 3 hours.

But, I think as frustrating as it was, everything was helping, and I think my actual recorded active labour time is 44 mins.

DairyNips · 16/06/2012 07:51

Thanks Star I hope they are doing something..
