Yeah, my mum had her first at 39 weeks, my MIL had all of hers at 37.5 weeks - I thought genetically I might have a shot of being before the due date. Now I have this feeling it's going to be at least another 2 weeks - and I'm at the point where just standing up leaves me in incredible pain and I just look ridiculous as I waddle around everywhere, I don't want to take this any more!
I just say good luck to everyone that's before me, I won't take your turn if I can help it and am hoping beyond hope we all get them out soon!

DairyNips · 18/06/2012 10:19

Ok so I've had a run of 5 mins apart, feeling sick from the pain do called hosp and they said I can go in. I hope they don't slow again. I just hope in dilated enough for them to keep me there once I get down there. Wish me luck!

Rrrrayray · 18/06/2012 12:47

Hi all.

Sorry for going AWOL. Love to say its b/c i'd been busy having a baby but afraid not.

Baby movements not been good, been CTG last 2 days, Scan this morning appears to show all well. Another CTG today, have been booked for Wed morning induction.

Sorry to see the same names still hanging on & not gone into labour?! What is it with these june babies!!!!!!

Rrrrayray · 18/06/2012 12:48

Ohhh good luck Dairy- hope its babies time! xxx

McKayz · 18/06/2012 13:05

Owwwwwwwwwwww.

I am not sure this is actually labour but we've been to see the Olympic torch, so stood about for a while and then walked home.

It doesn't feel like contractions but loads of back pain and a bit of pressure. Maybe it she is moving down.

Dairy I hope all is going well for you!!

DizzyKipper · 18/06/2012 13:19

Good luck Dairy, hope to hear from you next when you have a cute, snuggly newborn in your arms Smile.

McKayz sounds similar to pains I get, lots of pressure, sharp shooting pains in back, bum and legs (nice!) and general achiness all round that area. I think you're probably right and it's the baby putting pressure on the area as she gets into position.

shellywellybaby1 · 18/06/2012 13:57

Eeeep fingers crossed Dairy!!! All these pretend pains are just getting boring now!!

sewingandcakes · 18/06/2012 13:59

Good luck Dairy, hope it's going well!

With any luck there'll be some more babies soon!

VIX1980 · 18/06/2012 14:06

Im still here, this wasnt part of my plan if im honest, im due today and nothing at all has happened in the past week to make me think anything will happen anytime soon!

right now i was meant to be in a birthing pool, looking fabulous, drinking out of a bottle with a straw. in reality im sat on the couch wasting time and getting even more angry with dp for not having put away the hoover from yesterday Angry.

ive also eaten the 2 massive galaxy bars from my hospital bag already and now at some point have to venture out to get some more. tried curry, raspberry leaf tea, even sex on sat didnt start anything, im seriously thinking about smoking it out.

if any of you do have your baby before me, rest assured i will hunt you down and make you pay...

justwantcheese · 18/06/2012 14:15

Just wondered if anyone on here is longer than me ,I'm 40+12 today and am pulling my hair out!!!

PinkPanther27 · 18/06/2012 14:37

Hi justwantcheese I'm still here! Reason they're inducing me tomorrow instead of weds is that by my original date (which matches my last period and conception dates) I am already 40 plus 17!! No signs of spontaneous labour though.
Was supposed to be resting today but have spent all day trying to finish things off, do housework etc as I will be worrying about my Mum looking after ds while Im at the hospital as she doesnt know how to use our tv and oven- have left post it notes all over the house!
Now for a quick nap, sorry I havent mentioned u all, hope to be back later

DizzyKipper · 18/06/2012 14:45

OMG PinkPanther 40+17! You have my utmost sympathies and I am wishing you the best for your induction - if I get to 40+17 I'm sure I'd have been driven mad by that point!

justwantcheese · 18/06/2012 14:52

Good luck pink one more sleep til you meet your Lo. What time are you going in ? X

Rrrrayray · 18/06/2012 18:34

Cheese & Pink - you both beat me i'm afraid. I think the reason i am being induced Wednesday (40+5 by scan dates, 40+12 by my dates which i'm adamant about) is due to the reduced movements althought CTG looks good.

Have been a bit worried about induction as thought it meant the natural birth plan i had wanted out the window. Used water and G&A for DD1 and had planned on the same. But apparently as long as only Break waters (first port of call as cervix favourable) and or pessary and not drip, then apparently can still go to birth centre (on site) rather than labour ward once in established labour. Hurrah, silver lining. Lets just hope option 1 & 2 work & don't have to go to 3!

Pink - when are you being induced?
Dairy- any more from you? Hope you are well on your way! xx

used2bthin · 18/06/2012 21:13

Hi all, baby Heidi was born at midnight on the 17th after induction. Home now and all going well so far. Both children asleep! Long may it last!

McKayz · 18/06/2012 21:21

Congratulations Used Grin

Pink I hope it all goes well.

I had thought it was all kicking off today and now I feel fine, well as fine as you can feel at 39 weeks.

I had to go in to be monitored yesterday as baby seemed quiet and all was fine but according to the monitors I was having mild contractions, I just couldn't feel them at all. I am hoping that means labour will be nice and easy when it finally happens.

DS1 was 2 days late and DS2 born on his due date so if they are following a 2 day pattern she should come tomorrow. Wishful thinking there I think.

DairyNips · 18/06/2012 22:18

Oscar Morgan was born today at 16.40 weighing a dainty 5lb 13ozSmile He is so cute and feeding well so far. I got away with a tiny graze and no stitches. Labour was pretty quick once I got here and gas n air got me through. Lots of strange things were said due to the gas n air, good stuffGrin. They weren't sure when my waters had broken so as a precaution he has to have antibiotics for 48hrs then we have to stay in hosp for 24hrs after that. Wish I could go home earlier but I will be soon enough I guess.

used2bthin · 18/06/2012 22:55

thanks mckayz. and dairy yay! baby was 7,12 btw, and I also got away with no stitches just a graze which has been really better than with dd1.

shellywellybaby1 · 18/06/2012 22:57

Congratulations ladies!! Hehehe!! Brilliant news!! Lets hope we have more soon :-)

StarlightWithAsteroid · 18/06/2012 22:59

Aw, congratulations Used2, and to DN!!!

McKayz · 18/06/2012 23:06

Star I thought of you yesterday when I was in hospital. I witnessed the paracetamol swearing test firsthand. A lady was being induced and she told the MW it was getting quite painful. So she was told to take paracetamol. Her reply was "what the fuck will they do?" Grin

She was then offered pethedine which she took.

DizzyKipper · 19/06/2012 08:07

Congratulations Dairy and used Grin

justwantcheese · 19/06/2012 09:18

Congratulations dairy and used lovely names, glad you both got away with no stitches.

Good luck today pink looking forward to photos.

What time are you booked in tomorrow rrray? I'm in at 9. Will be thinking of you.

box did you have to mention galaxy? Off to the corner ship now! [Smile]

mckayz and dizzy both sound promising that you could be fairly soon, hope you don't have to wait much longer .
Have a good day everyone, going to have my last lazy day for a little while, can't wait for tomorrow!
